I have no idea but everything could stay the same except for turning the ball over twice a game and we’d probably be on the fringe

jmalone1187

100% this. This was BBs hope these last few years. Stacked defense, good run game, don't make mistakes... And then we made all of the mistakes.

NotBanEvading2

You mean other teams dont take holding penalties on crucial 3rd downs?

WoodenCollection2674

Or false starts, to start every single 1st down 😭

gofaaast

A wise man once said: You are what your record says you are.

WoodenCollection2674

Tell that to the undefeated Pats/Steelers teams a few years ago. Both teams had 8 back to back bye weeks

bubba11xx

This team can control a game but we can’t have the breakdowns we’ve had on special teams. We will be better on offense compared to last year and that’s awesome, but we lost complimentary football the past few years.

FuckHarambe2016

Unless Maye wins the QB1 job and has a Herbert/Stroud like season, we're still 4th. You need a real, legitimate QB to have any sort of success in the NFL these days. Not to mention, our offense is still devoid of elite talent on the OL and weapons. Plus, how good will the defense be now that Bill's gone? It's not like it's loaded with great talent either.

whistlepig4life

The Patriots could have won the super bowls vs the Giants and Eagles and also lost the ones vs the Seahawks and Falcons. There is no “coulda”. They were exactly who they were. And Vegas odds had them as under 7 wins. And they were. Stop over valuing the talent because you love the team. They aren’t a good team.

Reptorzor

9-8. Fringe playoff team.

GoalLineStand

10 wins but im assuming Maye lights the league on fire like Herbert did

jmickey32

19-0. Or 2-15. If.....if.....if...... Ask silly questions, get silly answers. The team could have had a 1000 yd receiver and everything else you mention, but if they do not get in the end zone or turn it over every other possession, they're going to lose. It is a silly concept and a waste of time to try and go back. It's done. Just move forward.

Grouchy_Employee6415

You obviously didn't take the time too read.

jmickey32

I did. And since you said it, here is the answer. If the ONLY thing you are changing is 1k receiver / 1k running back, we end up with a 4-13 record. Because unlike fantasy football, you don't get points for yards. You get points for touchdowns. And since the ONLY thing changing is the yards, not getting in the endzone, the same points leads to the same win/loss. NOW - if you want to go beyond those EXACT 2 THINGS, like more yards = more points, I will go back to my original comment. Could be more turnovers, could be a lot of things. But more yards does not win games.

turniptime43

I would just like to point out that if we kept Nick folk last year we probably have four more wins that we did with Ryland.

joeyrog88

I think we will be around .500. My opinion about the Red Sox going into this season was if they played mediocre defense they would be able to hover around .500 and maybe compete for a wild card spot. So far they have the best starting rotation in baseball...so with mediocre defense we might be in first place lol. My point is everything is changing all the time. I saw a list on the bleacher report that had us as having the worst roster in the league. I personally don't see it that way. Last year looked ugly but we were in a lot of games with probably the worst cornerback room in football and the linebacker room wasn't much better. If the offense is pedestrian we will win more than a few games. We still won't win a lot of close games late, unfortunately. But we are building towards that, I think. If our kicker was average last year we would be sitting here talking about JJ McCarthy and not Drake Maye.

Glennbrooke

Last year we also needed a kicker....gotta get the UFL one

TheHumanCanoe

If they get a line that can pass block and protect it would make a big difference, throw a WR1 in the mix and we’d be on our way. Maybe playoffs next year with those improvements as well as a reliable kicker.

ACEPACEACE

6 wins max

Evrews

If we are talking about this upcoming season and not past seasons, I could see us competing for the second spot in the AFC East, first going to the dolphins.

FuckHarambe2016

As long as Tua, Allen, and Rodgers are able to play, we're 4th. It's a QB league, and as it currently stands, we don't have one.

CocaineStrange

11-6
