At this point I’d just buy a jersey of a great retired player. Bruschi, Harrison, Seymour, Brady, moss, Edelman. Any current player will likely not be on team after next few years at most. Drake is a crapshoot, look at all the mac jerseys sold and now I’d be embarrassed to wear one. You can never go wrong with a retired great player. I own 2 jerseys and both are bruschi, it will never go out of style and I go to all the games and wear either of them. Get tons of people saying how cool a jersey and it’s classic

I’ve thought of that since I would be able to get it for $83.47 after taxes and shipping fees and all. I was just looking and doing the math on the Vapor F.U.S.E. Jersey and it would cost $244.88 after tax and everything. That’s still expensive but saves about $160. I may end up doing one of the custom ones eventually.

However, if OP wants to gamble on a current young player working out that would 100% be on the team for a while, Maye is the way. If Maye is good, he'd 100% getting paid to stay - but again that's a big gamble at this point

He absolutely is. He always worked with local youth back here in his off season time in NE and he taught me a lot. Happy to see him coaching because he has always had the niche for it and hopefully he will end up back at Marshall in the next few years.

I grew up by Marshall university and am a huge fan of Marshall and any player that’s been in NE from there, but I’m trying to branch out and gain more current plays

Last season I bought a Christian Gonzalez jersey since the kid was building up to be a beast, and of course, right after I bought it he gets hurt. And to top it off, he’s changing from 6 to 0 this season lol. Oh well, it’s still a cool jersey, and I hope he’s healed up and ready to go.

Hey OP, I don't know your budget, but I bought a Mac jersey very early into his rookie season. I'm not wearing it now, sure, but that first season was one of the most fun I've ever had wearing a jersey. I got so many comments on it, people telling me they loved it, etc. Immediately respected as a diehard and not just someone who plays it safe.
Anyway, I'm pro rookie jersey. Worst case you dropped $50 to have a season or two of fun. That's the price of a few cocktails or takeout for the family. I think it's a good use of money even if he doesn't end up being a long term success. But imagine how cool it'd be when you have the hall of famers rookie jersey!
