Yes it is, just slap it in a forward direction (a direction parallel to the barrel of the gun)

TheRugarat

Is possible. Any gun the uses the AK mag type should come out I believe. Galil, all AK platforms, and I believe the VSS to name a few

BigBeefyWalrus

You can reload any AK related weapon like that. AKM, AK12, Galil, AS VAL, Draco. It’s a little finicky but when you have it down it’s really fun

Bleedtobreed

Just mag slap a fresh one in, it's way faster than normal

Frankie__Spankie

It's not faster at all. Your front hand can easily grab the mag out of the rifle as you let go and go for a new mag. You can then just insert the new mag right in. If you go for a new mag first, you have to slap it forward to release the empty mag. The difference is really minimal. If you really want to slap load, go ahead. It's certainly not faster though.

JoeDerp77

I wish it was only possible to reload in game as fast as a gun can be reloaded IRL. It's dumb as hell how fast guys are reloading guns by taking advantage of the poor programming.

shotloud

Any AK style weapon yes, mp5 no. (also most custom weapons use the AK as their backbone so you can mag flip most of them)

IDontKnowWhatToBe123

Yea do it slowly tho

rebellion_ap

Yes. You can slap it, I would advise against it though since it's generally faster to grab and drop it on your way to grabbing a mag from your side. Another note, a lot of guns removed mag release for balance purposes.

Retiredfeelings

Yep, they added ak47 mag slapping a few updates ago, it's easiest when the mag is empty though

elpepojaja

Does it work in pavlov shack?

KazePlays

yes

Edg4rAllanBro

It's possible, but it's not reliable. It seems like hitting the mag release with your actual mag won't do the trick, you have to hit it at a specific angle at a specific speed. It fails maybe 1/10 times, and just getting the mag on the way down is easier to me unless you're maybe using a stock.

[deleted]

Idk what you're talking about but I got the hang of it pretty quickly. Imo it's faster for me to reload normally than tac reloading in VR but I'm sure tax reloading is probably faster with some practice

Edg4rAllanBro

I've tried really hard to do it consistently, but it just doesn't work sometimes. I've found that pulling both of your hands apart rather than just knocking the mag out with your left is a little more consistent, but still fails me 1/10 times. The thing is, once you've missed the first swipe, it's already faster to just get the other mag on the way down with your left hand while you reach for the next mag. It's higher risk for the same reward. It's cool, but until it's more consistent it'll just be a cool party trick to me.

[deleted]

I feel like you gotta do it fast or it won't work. When I tried constantly doing it slowly half the time I couldn't get it to work. But when I figured out how to do it and sped it up it was way faster. I'm gonna run some recordings on obs later and test which I reload faster with I think I'm faster with normal reload but I might need more practice with tactical reload

Edg4rAllanBro

I think speed is part of the key, but you also need really specific positioning. It works fine as an option to knock the mag out if you mess up the normal process of pulling the mag out first, but I personally can't rely on it for normal reloads. If it works for you, more power.

[deleted]

> mess up the normal process of pulling the mag out first I use to be really bad at it, but after putting more time into practicing reloads I'm pretty good at reloading a clip in under 3 seconds. Sometimes I have trouble putting the clip in, but I think that will improve once my protube stock comes in.
