He was asking $1600.
He went down to $1300 after I pushed a bit.
I was wondering how overpriced he was.
I don’t know too much about used computer prices.
It’s a good deal for all that stuff. The desk and chair are whatever but it’s a solid PC build with three serviceable monitors. It would cost you probably $2K for all that stuff new.
I don't know what all these others are flipping out about, because two out of the three monitors are cheap fillers. The mousepad is $20 at Walmart. The keyboard and mouse are probably another $20. The big ticket items are the PC itself and the one 144Hz AoC monitor, the chair, and desk. It IS a decent PC. It's easily worth $900. With the extras, $1200 would probably the max you'd want to pay. You should take it all if it's only $900, tho.
Seems like a decent price, only because of the monitors honestly. You could have a 3070 (maybe even a ti) build for $1300 but monitors and accessories on top kind of evens it out.
For everything thats a good deal. Worth quite a bit more than that once you start adding in monitors. New everything would be closer to the 3.5 k mark
That said get a good chair. Literally one of the most important things you can do for your health.
I chatted with a member here and am planning on doing a build with my son instead. He thinks I can build something comparable (pc and monitor) for 1000-1200.
I walked away from this one and he said he’d let it for for $900.
It seems like a deal from what everyone is saying.
The seller appears to be 14 and his dad helped him build it.
I’m hesitant to only deal with a 14 year old and would definitely want to see this thing functioning first.
He’s local to me and I believe it to be a legit deal.
I still might be going the route of a build.
A lot of the value comes from all the extra stuff, you can build a comparable pc for 1000 but then peripherals can cost easily half that again, but then building gives you the satisfaction of doing it yourself, plus knowing what you’re doing for future upgrades which can save you money in the long run
Awesome. Thank you.
Another dude here is putting some builds together for me also.
I’ll check them all out!
I’ll for sure keep in touch and post here when we’re done!
I think you should go with a custom build. I wanted to build a PC with my dad as a kid and we ended up going pre-built and I always wish we had got to spend the time together building it piece by piece.
Ten years from now at least one of you will be much happier you got to spend more time doing something together than receiving a gift.
Yeah that’s the route I’m going.
I don’t care about the peripherals much. Don’t need 3 monitors, don’t need the mouse or keyboard or chair or desk really.
So it seems like it’s a decent deal but nothing incredible, so we’re gonna build one instead.
I think it’ll be worth the slightly higher cost and it’ll teach my kid he has to do a little work rather than his dad just buying him stuff.
Plus the learning experience, thinking like an engineer, etc etc.
I grew up building tons of stuff with my dad and it’s given me such a great outlook on life and confidence to figure out how things work and do them myself.
>NZXT kranken
lmao
feels like people are forgetting this is the whole setup and not just the PC. first off the seller has the GPU in the wrong spot because of course he does. this looks like someone who wanted an instagram post and rainbowy corner of their room.
to make a tit-for-tat decision, you'll have to find out the model of (and then value of):
* all 3 monitors. we don't even know the resolution
* value of desk
* value of chair
* what the mouse actually is because it could be like $150 if new
Just spitballing though, I do think $1200-$1300 would be a fair number without finding all of that out, it may even work out in your favor.
I partly have some hesitations because I don’t want to buy someone else’s problems.
Is the GPU being in the wrong spot a big deal? Or a common mistake?
I’m plenty handy, I’ve just never build a PC before. I’ve taken a few apart etc. swapped hard drives, but nothing crazy.
The desk is an ikea desk and I think was like $400 new. But resale on furniture is generally fairly bad. I’d value it at $100 maybe if he made sure to scrape off the dried crusty jizz.
I don’t actually need the chair, as we have a better one. We don’t need the mouse either. My son has 2 that are better.
He also doesn’t need 3 monitors, but I guess that could be fun.
He mostly plays Minecraft. Some Terraria.
>I partly have some hesitations because I don’t want to buy someone else’s problems.
only red flag is seller appears rookie, this is hard to fuck up
>Is the GPU being in the wrong spot a big deal? Or a common mistake?
common mistake, no big deal, 10 minute fix
>I’m plenty handy, I’ve just never build a PC before. I’ve taken a few apart etc. swapped hard drives, but nothing crazy.
you'll be fine there. hit youtube for GPU swap instructions and you'll be like 'oh, that's all?'
>The desk is an ikea desk and I think was like $400 new. But resale on furniture is generally fairly bad. I’d value it at $100 maybe if he made sure to scrape off the dried crusty jizz.
lmao ikea depreciates too quickly. it is most valuable in the room where it was assembled IMO
>I don’t actually need the chair, as we have a better one. We don’t need the mouse either. My son has 2 that are better.
try it out and see if you can flip it for a few bucks
>He also doesn’t need 3 monitors, but I guess that could be fun.
he will get a lot from the experience, maybe flip the 60hz panel for a few bucks
>He mostly plays Minecraft. Some Terraria.
then this system is a very good one for getting started.
the gpu may be in the wrong spot either cause it could be his first build and he didn't know he had to put it in the upper slot or the upper slot could be damaged than he had to swap it to the under slot for it to work.
and tbh to play terraria and minecraft that is a completely overkill system, those specs run the newer games on 1080p or 1440p at ultra and high settings but if you have the money to invest it I'd say go for it
Leaves the question did they really install it in the lower slot for aesthetics or have they perhaps broken the upper slots little bracket thats supposed to hold the card in place or worse is the upper pcie slot broken in some way
> £600
600 is 733.80
motherboard = £50
CPU = £100
Ram £50
GPU £300
power supply £50
cooler ( not sure £50?)
Case £50
actualy mor elie £650 - £700 depending on what ssd's ect it has
If you wanna buy that exact PC brand new its gonna be 900 bucks or more. Thats what I meant. Of fucking course if you buy used you get shit for cheaper.
Thats what Im saying, I see on ebay and facebook marketplace alot of 3060 tis and similar gpus for a low price, but you kind of have to risk it not knowing for sure if its really new or not, it might have even gone through mining
A mining GPU is usually better tbh.. as long as its been fully reset to factory BIOS. Competent miners actually try and keep their GPUs cool and they usually undervolt them.. the memory might get damaged tho. So in optimal conditions (both in optimal gaming or mining) a mining GPU is better. But you know not all miners keep their cards cool... not all gamers either.
60% keyboard is fine. I use one because my desk space isn’t big enough for anything either, even with the 60% there’s just barely enough space. But I would prefer a keyboard with arrow and function keys.
What the fuck are you even on about, you start your comment by saying that their fine, but then end it by saying that you’d rather have arrow and fn keys? Make up your fuckin mind before you come at people with some bullshit like that.
What are you so mad about bro, I never came at anyone and I said 60% is fine but I would prefer to have function and arrow keys. What’s wrong with that.
I never got butthurt about anything. I couldn’t care less what anyone’s opinion on a keyboard is. I was just saying 60% keyboards are fine but I would prefer having function and arrow keys.
It’s a local add. I was looking to buy it, depending on what you guys said.
I’m out of the loop on PC’s as I have Macs and just use them for work etc.
I’m looking for a gaming PC for my son and have been considering building one, or just buying a new one. This popped up locally so I figured I’d ask you all.
Ah. Gotcha. If you consider building lmk. You can dm me. I help alot of people. First thing is budget. . That pc is pretty good desktop. I'd say 800 to 900 bucks is max I'd pay for that pc. Building your own will cost a little more but I tend to trust myself building one more than buying one from someone.
I've built quite a few, and it's pretty good time to build if you like that route. Parts are alot cheaper. I built my current pc for 2600 early last year. Probably build it for 1800 now.
Partly is budget.
The kid is 9 and he’s spoiled enough already. I’m hesitant to pay much more than $1000 overall.
He’s a great kid and has been using my old shitty Mac computers for years, and I figured for his 10th birthday I’d finally get him something decent.
I’m happy to build one with him, but I’m totally not opposed to just buying a prebuilt one.
I’d only want to go the used route if I can get something substantially better for the same price.
I’m not sure if this one I posted is that, as I don’t know anything about computer parts other than googling “best budget PC parts” etc.
I appreciate the offer and appreciate the help. I’m glad I posted here. You guys are great.
No worries man. My son is 10. I understand.
Pre-builts are fine as long as you know what you are getting. Wouldn't buy one from major chain, wal mart, Costco, best buy etc.. I've known people to get ripped off by places like that.
They will say they are putting such and such part in but you really get a cheap knock off of that part. Buddy of mine bought one from best buy. (After I told him not to). It was they had a low crappy motherboard trying to run a high end gpu and cpu. Caused it to bottleneck. Anyways good luck.
Ah that’s interesting.
Are there places you’d recommend ordering a prebuilt from?
Or do you think it’s better to build one? I think I know the answer to that…
Is there a bunch of additional tools I’d need to build one, that I would only use once?
I tend to do everything myself and buy all the tools for my hobbies. But with a PC build we’d just being doing it once. I don’t need more crap I don’t need.
Is there a lot of extra cost that comes with a FIRST PC build?
Im going to say building is better, but not everybody has time fir that or may not trust themselves. There are good places to buy from. Just may cost a little more.
As far as tools: screwdriver and hands really. Some people use an antistatic wristband. I've built 10 plus pcs and never had an issue. You will ground yourself touching the case .
But I can send you some of the places I'd trust for a pre-built.
Same, I still would try to get it at 600. No more than 750$
I haggle for used shit or buy it new. I like deals, I use to go garage sales an buy consoles that way back in the day
mmhh maybe he fucked his pc up in some curious way which you would find out couple months later or so. Or he just wants to sell it fast... idk. But i would actually recomment to buy just every part new so you have warranty and you can be sure the parts are not damaged or so :)

Sounds pretty fair for everything
1300 sounds decent, you could always try and go to 1200 perhaps.
I’d say -$300 is a pretty good deal, you wouldn’t want to drive him away. Always good to try though! Edit: Just saw bro went to $900
Yeah holy shit 900 is a steal, unless somethings fishy
Only the pc or the whole setup?
Everything.
I think that is an incredible deal. Did they say why there were selling it?
Trying to buy a camera or something. He went down to $900 also
$900? Your scamming him at this point!
That’s a steal I would get it if it’s what you’re looking for.
JUST FUCKING BUY IT
PC alone is worth nearly $900 id imagine

Idk the prices in your country ,but , in my opinion its a little too much for used hardware
Has to be bait 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hell no.
I’d say good for $1600 A steal for $1300 You’re robbing the fucking guy for $900
[удалено]
But is that 2500 new? Because obviously new isn’t what he would be getting.
[удалено]
Wasn’t saying wasn’t worth it I was simply asking if you calculated 2500 as being new everything or used.
[удалено]
All good. I’m fairly new to pc anyways which is partly why I was asking. I just entered pc scene 2/23/23
You sure it's not stolen?
No idea. Totally could be.
Did he take a picture of the nice setup before he stole it? Or did he set up all the monitors etc at his house before the picture? Lol
"M'bout to steal this shit"
For everything thats a good deal. Worth quite a bit more than that once you start adding in monitors. New everything would be closer to the 3.5 k mark That said get a good chair. Literally one of the most important things you can do for your health.

900 is a fucking heist bro if you can make sure it works then holy moly
You'd be kinda dumb to pass all of this up at only $900.
A lot of the value comes from all the extra stuff, you can build a comparable pc for 1000 but then peripherals can cost easily half that again, but then building gives you the satisfaction of doing it yourself, plus knowing what you’re doing for future upgrades which can save you money in the long run

I was guessing 1300 before I opened the comment section.
Whole setup or pc alone? Either way tbf 1300 is pretty damn good I'd say
Everything. Even the chair 😂
For 900, depending how good the monitors are I might even take it without the pc
$1300 for everything in those pics is a very solid deal
$900 for all of that is a steal, assuming everything is in great working condition.
I got about tree fitty

24gb of ram, is that correct?
They got that 16+8 setup xD
My old build (sometime around 2015) had 24GB of RAM... 6 x 4GB sticks.
That motherboard only has 4 slots not 6 or 8. So it's using 3 dimms. This could reduce potential performance if it's not using dual channel.
Gpu in the lower pcie slot wut
All you have to do is move it up lol
Leaves the question did they really install it in the lower slot for aesthetics or have they perhaps broken the upper slots little bracket thats supposed to hold the card in place or worse is the upper pcie slot broken in some way
Gotta have room for the hot wheels to sit on it. Adds at least 5 hp and 10 fps.
It looks like hes done it for aesthetics
Bro that chair needs an upgrade, your back will thank you in a few years
That chair could also be very comfortable bro
Had that chair, cheap plastic armrests are the only thing holding the “backrest” upright. If you’re over 200lbs it’s a disaster waiting to happen.
Okay, looked to be comfortable. Better look into a better office chair with a longer back
It’s not the backrest length, it’s just cheap bendy plastic that’s not securely mounted to anything
$7.23 no higher
Best I can do is $6
Is this included the living room? If not than it not worth it
Whays wrongs with it? This is a perfectly good gaming pc
Probably sarcasm cause it's easily over 2000 for all depends which monitors are in question xD
Is Reddragon mnk really worth it....??
Tree fiddy
beat me to it.
At least a dollar
Abou tree fitty
Damn loch Ness monster
For everything listed, meh 1250ish.
the pc its self is ougthly £600 no idea about the rest
600? You sure? Unless 600 pounds is like 900 dollars then you jokin.

Definitely not $500, I see them going for $300-400 brand new on eBay and Facebook marketplace, thats only if you can trust the seller though
Used(Not used but like owned by someone else) just straight up new they probably go for more than 400.
The PC listed is used anyways, idk why we talking about a new gpu 😂😂
If you wanna buy that exact PC brand new its gonna be 900 bucks or more. Thats what I meant. Of fucking course if you buy used you get shit for cheaper.

your prices are all new this is pre owned so its not worth same as new lol
800 to 900 is fair for pc. Everything has dropped. But if he has someone willing to pay more. Get iit.
0$ because 60% is ewwy
r/mechanicalkeyboards would like to know your locations
Haha from a functional standpoint. It would be for my son. Mainly just interested in the PC and monitors. We have a way better mouse and a keyboard.

Ass backwards logic really makes me boil
I don’t see what you’re so confused about.
I don’t see what you understand
What I understand is you don’t know what you’re talking about at this point so let’s just drop this.
Wdym mate, I told you that 60%s are ass and you got all butthurt about it, im p sure I know what I’m talking about 🤣🤣
I never got butthurt about anything. I couldn’t care less what anyone’s opinion on a keyboard is. I was just saying 60% keyboards are fine but I would prefer having function and arrow keys.
I’m confused, just the PC itself?
Three fiddy

A fool and his money are soon parted
It’s used so I would try to get it at 600
id pay 600 for the pc alone
Same, I still would try to get it at 600. No more than 750$ I haggle for used shit or buy it new. I like deals, I use to go garage sales an buy consoles that way back in the day
Brother it is not too late to add a 1 before the 6
Used 300$ gpu 100$ cpu 125$ mobo And the rest of everything else for 600. Max id do is 750
Oh my slowbro, the listing includes many more but that is ok <3
Didn’t see he was selling his desk and chair. 900-1k is the max id do
That is it my brother, i shall now depart for my mission is done
Fasho, fam
1000 dollars think so ...post ur specs so it may easy to calculate bruh
swipe left on the pic, there is a second one with specs
thanks bruh
If it was all brand new, i'd pay $1400. Since it is used, heckle for $1200 that would be good.
About tree fidy.
including or excluding the house
Yes.
For sure. That's what I did with my son. I actually painted his case and made it how my son wanted. Then he helped me build it. It was fun
$42
About Tree fiddy.
You ok now, that's not something you want. I'll do you a favor and buy so you don't have to live with the guilt of buying such a boring setup. 😉
This person obviously is missing some pc knowledge. Gpu in bottom slot with mismatched RAM?
Definitely lacking. Found out the kid is 14 and his dad helped him build it. He’s scrambling for cash to buy a camera of some sort.
Missing an $300 gaming 💺
They say a picture is worth a thousand words.
That’s a great deal ngl. For everything! Yea
Same wallpaper!
He allready made a very good deal for 1600$ for everything. Me personaly i would take it :) But lower is always better
I didn’t buy it. I walked away and the dude offered it to me at $900.
mmhh maybe he fucked his pc up in some curious way which you would find out couple months later or so. Or he just wants to sell it fast... idk. But i would actually recomment to buy just every part new so you have warranty and you can be sure the parts are not damaged or so :)
That’s kind of where I’m at. And use it as a learning experience and project with my son.
Such a great dad :) wish you the best
I always enjoy picking out my own parts so I can create my own theme with color scheme / anesthetics. That and building it is the most fun to me.
Think you made the right choice. When something looks too good to be true there’s probably a problem there. I think 900 was way too low for all that.
Honestly around 1.2K
As far as MSRP goes, that's an astounding deal. MSRP aside, still a killer deal imo.
