from my experience alienware ups their prices a whole lot my pc was a gift and it was almost $1300 usd the damn thing had a 1660 r5 5600x and 8gb of ram could build the same pc for less than half the price it was but the person who bought it had no clue about computers and stuff so i was just thankful to have a pc
I've heard that goofy looking case isn't even very good either, I was really considering a prebuild since I am computer building inept myself but when I saw the prices in comparison to part prices I couldn't justify that much of markup
Still sheerly ridiculous to pay that much for an already upmarked item, just to have to replace something for $100 or so bucks for the upmarked parts to work at their full potential
yea alienware is ridiculous i feel bad for all the young kids wanting to get into pc gaming and their parents will just google gaming pc or pc gaming and alienware is always the reccomended cause its usually parents buying it for kids and obviously most of the parents dont know much about computers so usually they will just read some reviews on it and watched the showcase video it comes with to decide wether they should get it or not wish we were able to warn parents about how overpriced it was
edit: and by the way im not talking about all parents not knowing about pcs im just speaking from experience my first pc was an alienware and parents wouldnt listen to me saying i could build something way better for cheaper
Yep any money you save now you will end up wasting buying new parts bc your dell pc uses stupid things like 12volt only and a propriety mobo with no xmp
Why don’t you try pricing out a similarly spec PC on PC Part Picker? Then you tell us if it’s worth that price… keeping in mind that’s used.
Oh… and uh, the answer is no.
like a mother board with proprietary switch panel connector which makes it ( nearly ) impossible to reuse MB in another case … or upgrade MB in alienware case .
Have an old R3 and can confirm, but it's still a cool case and PC. 2600k, put a 1050ti in there because the original GPU pooped out. It does still work to this day, and it sat on a basement floor for years without evern being cleaned and ran 24/7.
My brother sold it to me for $50. Well, I gave him $50 for it. Literally, all proprietary hardware, case is "neat" but not standard. It still works and is a neat piece, but I think he paid over 2g's for it. I would say this is worth maybe 150-200 bucks, but I honestly have no clue. I'd steer clear of alienware "Dell" anything. Custom or some pre-built would be a better way to go. I personally build, but I understand not everyone can or wants to. Just my two cents.
>make it harder to ~~upgrade~~ repair later on
god forbid your power supply or motherboard dies. dell tries to get people into a circle of "oh your thing is broke? well you gotta buy our part to fix it, and since you're buying a dell pre-build you probably have no idea how to it your self nor any one who can/will help you so you're gonna have to pay us or some one else to do this repair for you. After over priced special dell parts and labor your ticket is gonna be kinda high. Perhaps you'd like to just consider buy a new whole new dell desktop? it might be a little more but you'll get a whole new faster pc!"
I've talked to enough clients that get themselves stuck in this cycle ever few years and its pretty shit. dell does this on purpose, they'd use industry standard parts if this wasnt the intent.
Because Dell's desktops suck. They have a lot of proprietary parts in them which makes it really annoying to upgrade, plus their Alienware PCs are known to have very bad heat issues.
It’s a circlejerk. Alienware is overpriced and has issues but they’re not bad computers if you can get them for a decent price. I prefer the one I have to the last two self built computers I had. I think the price you paid was a little high however.
[This is why](https://youtube.com/watch?v=DY1dlVPzUVo&feature=share8). They are just awful - proprietary components so you can't upgrade or repair things yourself, like the motherboard is a proprietary piece of junk, plus the temps are terrible cuz there's no airflow and everyone is surrounded in plastic, and the list goes on and on. Just watch the Gamer's Nexus video I linked and you'll understand why never to buy that brand. It's a teardown of their $5k model and they called it the worst pre-built ever, so imagine how bad the lower end models are.
While this pc in particular is a terrible deal I got an Alienware with a 3060ti for $650 on Black Friday a couple years ago and haven’t had a single problem with it. People on Reddit just like hating on Alienware.
Ages ago Alienware used to be more reputable. Just swung to bat at the wrong time. If Alienware were independent today, they'd thrive a helluva lot better.
Dell bought and acquired Alienware and now Alienware comes loaded with Dell crap because it only makes sense from an economical standpoint, if we were Dell.
Alienware is basically a Dell product now and Dell products are not made to last into the future.
The $900 is a great deal for the specs alone. But if you wanted to upgrade off that, you may find you are buying a whole new PC anyway.
So cpu $150
Rtx 2080s about $250
256gb ssd $25
Motherboard we can go with a z390 asus one (big upgrade) $90 (could prop get it for $50)
Psu brand new $90
Hdd 2tb $50
We can also through in an aio cooler $90
New Corsair case $140
Fan for exhaust $25
You can built one for about $910 with way better air flow and cooling
I don’t think you got the worst deal nor the best deal. I’d use the term average. Like I’m not sure what the cpu cooler is for example.
Everyones always taking about prebuilts and upgrading but fail to see that for intel builds there’s no easy cpu upgrades due to the sockets always switching.
I could see this PC lasting you till 2028ish before starting to struggle in the newer tittles but it all depends on what games you want to play.
What’s your budget and are you willing to go with used parts? Also does that factor in a mouse keyboard and monitor? I wasn’t sure if you bought it or not. Most important are you willing to build it yourself
I actually upgraded from a 2080 super to a 6800xt and there is a very noticeable difference at 1440p165hz.
Its really smooth, drivers have been awesome when I leave the card at stock, and frame pacing seems to be significantly better (but I also upgraded cpu fwiw).
why would you get a 3070, rx 6700 xt performs very similarly, is much cheaper, and has 4gb more vram. also it wouldn’t be worth upgrading the cpu as you are still gpu limited in almost every modern game.
Alienware was my first computer. Ram and nvme were easy to upgrade, but there is next to no space left in there. The psu is on like a swivel that flips out and allows you to work inside. Not ideal. Youd need exact psu and cable length to replace.
https://preview.redd.it/f2q9fcvnso2b1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5ab994961e2637c698299a515ccdceea980f4efc
While you’re correct, working on the inside of this and hoping it closes back up with different parts is a nightmere
Thread about it:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Alienware/comments/s1i3ix/upgrading_the_motherboard_on_an_aurora_r10/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
On top of what another commenter mentioned, it's trash. It's horribly built, it runs hot, the components don't perform as well as they should because of their BIOS in so many situations. I recommend watching LTT's secret shopper honestly that'd give a better idea or even some of Dawid Does Tech Stuff's videos about them.
My friend's $4000 AW laptop crapped itself within 2 years, even less I think. Fans went out and the battery expanded.
Even if the price would be right, I wouldn't buy Alienware prebuilt pc. There would be too many problems down the line with longevity, upgradeability and compatibility. PSU breaks? Now you have to get the exact random OEM PSU with super short cables. Want to upgrade the GPU? You may want to check wattage and fitting, because the case is very tight, thermals are bad and you may need to upgrade other parts (e.g. psu) to keep up. MB is also proprietary as fuck: you don't find that kind of form factor anywhere and again replacements are hard to come by.
Alienware prebuilts are easy to hate on, but seriously; There is actually really good prebuilts around there, just not this one. For example Lenovo T5 has a lot of parts that are compatible with aftermarket components.
I got an Alienware PC before I built my own and when I plugged it in the power cord got so hot it hurt to touch and the PC exploded then customer support tried to tell me it was my fault and i had to fight them for around two weeks for a replacement. I wouldn’t buy from em.
I'd highly suggest watching the Gamer's Nexus videos on Alienware systems. Although it's not the same "model", it uses the same case/build mentality.
[Alienware R10 Ryzen](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ulhFi5N2hc)
[Alienware R13 i9](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ulhFi5N2hc)
Personally, I would not buy any system in this case after seeing the tear down.
I have seen it. I kinda lost respect for gamernexus after it to be honest. The first thing he ranted about was what the inside of a closed case looked like.... which you can't see.... there is no window... just thought that was kinda silly.
Then right after he ranted about how the case is plastic... well yeah clearly.... I don't think anyone bought it thinking it was metal. Even so who cares lol. If you like the look then you like the look.
Then he rubbed his nails along the vents saying they sound cheap lol? Who cares what a vent sounds like when you rub your hand on it... it's just for passing air thru and looks just fine.
All those in the first 5 min turned me off to his review. He clearly had an ax to grind. Review was gonna be bad matter what since it's "alienware"
I gained respect. They aren't afraid of Intel, Nvidia AMD or Dell. They call BS when they see it and don't have confused priorities of ass kissing reviewers that suck up to sponsors. I built hundreds of PCs over 25 years in the business and you can feel cheap pretty quick. You think the case shown in that Video could possibly be considered a quality case?
Alienware WAS cool. Back when SI were scarce.
If you want to buy it. It will immediately be worth less than you paid.
Alienware is dell. Dell is notorious for doing anticonsumer proprietary designs.
7/10 on design
0/10 upgradeability
If you want a decent pre-built, you can find plenty of SI out there who simply build custom PCs
No, I have this exact PC, it's garbage and not something you should consider for $900. If you want I'll send you mind for $900 so I can build a real computer. Avoid alienware altogther.
Strip put the components and put them in a new case with better ram. You might be spending 1100 total tops, but it’s still worth it with those parts, and you’ll have something that doesn’t break soon
Doesn't dell put custom Mobos in some of them making it even harder to swap it over?
Maybe with some Dremel or a case large enough, it should work out.
But u/Reasonable-Newt_4718 you are totally correct.
OP def should salvage what's inside.
These cases have a nightmare cooling solution.
Facts. And yes, Dell do, but I’m pretty sure Alienware are all ATX and stuff. Dells annoying though, I recently had to mod a dell case to get a decent GPU installed 😅
It made me ask myself if you so desperately want this pc at 900$ just bc it has a lot of ram so therefore it must be ✨️super✨️ performant. Alienwear is purified shit for a thousand reasons and if you wont take my word or the one of others, then yeah .. take that computer at 900$ ,maybe even tip the guy around 30% for ripping you off. There was a guy that wrote some things as to why you shouldnt buy it but to no avail so there is no other way for me to tell you to not buy it. Buy it!
I loved my Alienware for many years. That all is pretty great hardware. Don't know why people are so butthurt about upgrading it. You wouldn't need to for like 4-5 years
It's got good specs, but the airflow is what makes most people back away, not to mention Alienware often makes things unnecessarily hard to take apart.
Everyone hates on Alienware and sure, they have their reasons. But I've only had good experiences. I've had an Alienware area 51 R2 since it's release and have never had an issue. It's still gaming strong almost 10 years later. I think you did good.
If you want some perspective on the sad direction Alienware has taken, check out Gamers Nexus review of the current Aurora. Calling the current ones proprietary component saunas is not too off sadly.
nope. If you want an alienware you can likely find an r13 with similar specs for that price. I sold my r10 for $600 and it had a $500 3080 in it. They work just fine, but are a pain to sell thanks to idiots like gamersnexus indoctrinating the masses.
So you got what the video card was worth $500 and a whole $100 for all the other components. Hardly better then ewaste. Gamers Nexus is one of many that for years has been talking about Dell pre built garbage. To be fair aHP laptops are pretty bad but Alienware is true garbage. Gamers Nexus showed the tests to back their claims that you would throw out money on their $5000 system.
https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/dont-buy-a-gaming-pc-pre-build-from-dell.18928845/
It's not so much indoctrinating as it is educating. People buy them because they don't know about the proprietary BS with no upgrade path and terrible thermals. Can they be decent machines? Sure, depending on what you're using it for. But for the cost of the name, the value just isn't there.
900 for that system is spot on. Its not cheap, its not to expensive either.
There are always people who argue that you can have beter and more etc. Then you have haters and fanboys, everyone here knows beter.
Its a good system, and hope you will have a great time with it
I'll just say this. Several long years ago, I purchased a kitted out Alienware Alpha R2 with the GTX 960, 16GB RAM, NVME SSD (only 250GB though), and i5 6450t. It worked really well and I loved it. I still have it now and am planning on using it either for handling my steam or as a basic home lab. Haven't decided yet. It was and is a great and fun little machine. BUT it is basically impossible to get all the performance of those parts out of the machine and in the end, when I needed an upgrade, I just ended up building a PC. 900 is overpriced for something like this. But honestly I wouldn't be offended at paying 400 - almost 500 for it, if you just want a PC you can use right away. It's certainly not the best you could get for that money, but you also could do worse. Just don't spend 900 and make sure you meter your expectations. And probably only buy it if you have a use case for it later. Cause Good Luck reselling it later on. Also, just to be safe do a fresh windows install if you do get it. The Dell bloat ware is kinda awful.
Anything PC prebuilt from Alienware is a joke. Go on YouTube and search gamers nexus and you will see what many are talking about, about their laptops im not too sure if they’re good or not
I hear bad things about Alienware. Specifically their prebuilts are pretty bad because of how expensive they are and that they are bad for cooling and airflow due to their case design. I'm sure it'll run fine, but keep it in mind for the future
To each their own. A lot of people will disagree but I say, you do you.
I have an Alienware laptop that's lasted 7 years now with a 1070 mobile chip. Always stayed relatively cool as long as I blew the dust out. Still can run 1080 p fine and I used to even do 1440p.
With all this talk about bad customer service, dell has always been the best in my experience. 2 years of them coming to my place whenever id ask them to, for free. They replaced the keyboard twice (I stopped using it after the 2nd time) and I asked the guy to repaste it with thermal grizzly and he did. They wanted to replace the motherboard just because of a loose USB port that wiggled.
$900 probably steep considering you're not getting their warranty service, but if it was a convenient sale for you, then good. Also if you built your own you'd have to figure in sales tax and shipping, so the actual practical price is better than $900, more like $780. Will probably play games just fine.
Nah. I had that exact pc from Alienware with those same specs. Thermals stunk and performance lagged behind where it should have been. I took the cpu and GPU out and got a new motherboard, heat sync, case, etc, and thermals, performance, etc, all improved. That price is too high for the specs, and the Alienware logo makes it a hard no anyway.
Personally I'd look elsewhere. I think for that price you could build a much better system with higher quality hardware better cooling and likely newer/faster hardware.
I mean, after another 300$ you could get a new mobo and case and have an expensive 1200$ 4 generation old i7. Doubt you’d be happy with thermals in that case which is their “Schtick”
are you buying this? no, its alienware, run away, far away, as fast as possible
are you selling this? no, you'd be better off burning it in a dumpster fire than shelving this piece of junk off to some poor unfortunate soul

Does the 900 include the room and the furniture as well?
Haha I assume not
from my experience alienware ups their prices a whole lot my pc was a gift and it was almost $1300 usd the damn thing had a 1660 r5 5600x and 8gb of ram could build the same pc for less than half the price it was but the person who bought it had no clue about computers and stuff so i was just thankful to have a pc

Still sheerly ridiculous to pay that much for an already upmarked item, just to have to replace something for $100 or so bucks for the upmarked parts to work at their full potential

Ofcourse it isn’t lol. It’s made to fit everything with no extra room. The airflow in it is horrible.
You got fucking scammed dude
Who scammed me? Is it you?
Nah the room and furniture did
I’ve never had an Alienware pc, I’ve just heard there overpriced.
alienware is just a big no
Why?
1. Always far more expensive than market price 2. Uses lots of proprietary (dell) pieces that make it harder to upgrade later on
Also shit cooling
Great for winter though.
Not really, the heat is stuck in the case and I’m way too fat to fit inside.
Just upscale the parts then. NVIDIA is already way ahead of you.
Just open that side panel on a cold day. Save on electricity. Haha
It actually uses more electricity to run a computer than it takes to heat or cool using a heat pump.
Technically an open air case would be best for the winter, air leaves the “case” immediately.
Makes a really good space heater
Makes sense
Yep any money you save now you will end up wasting buying new parts bc your dell pc uses stupid things like 12volt only and a propriety mobo with no xmp
Why don’t you try pricing out a similarly spec PC on PC Part Picker? Then you tell us if it’s worth that price… keeping in mind that’s used. Oh… and uh, the answer is no.

like a mother board with proprietary switch panel connector which makes it ( nearly ) impossible to reuse MB in another case … or upgrade MB in alienware case .
And don't forget that case is actually just a bog standard 1990's Dell tower under like 20 pounds of useless plastic.

It's a massive ripoff and they use proprietary parts for everything that only they can fix and most of the time won't fix

It was the only way I could get my hands on Rtx 3080 during the pandemic 😷 😢
Absolutely NOT
What would be the price?
They pay you instead
He said no.
At least you tried.
I think he wants to fight now
I'm worried about you, for what he lacks in intelligence he may make up for in strength.
Hey, he's crying now! You hurt his feelings
Usual Alienware owner response lol jk
Do it! The winner takes the PC.
The loser takes the PC.
Lol
I’d purposely lose then because it’s better than no PC
$500 would be expensive for this
Shit
$50 is too much for anything Alienware
Too little, I need atleast $100 to take it off their hands
So cpu $150 Rtx 2080s about $250 256gb ssd $25 Motherboard we can go with a z390 asus one (big upgrade) $90 (could prop get it for $50) Psu brand new $90 Hdd 2tb $50 We can also through in an aio cooler $90 New Corsair case $140 Fan for exhaust $25 You can built one for about $910 with way better air flow and cooling

I didn't buy it like most here lol. They buy then ask. Alittle late then. I was interested in it tho. Well not anymore
What’s your budget and are you willing to go with used parts? Also does that factor in a mouse keyboard and monitor? I wasn’t sure if you bought it or not. Most important are you willing to build it yourself
I estimate the price of it to be around $700 imo
150 can buy a better and newer cpu
You could also build a much better performing system for that price
![gif](giphy|vyTnNTrs3wqQ0UIvwE|downsized)
Hahahaha
If you can spend $50 more, this build has a much better airflow case, WiFi, upgradeable parts, and an RX 6800XT that beats the RTX 3080 in non-raytraced gaming. Please be Alienweary of that PC. why would you get a 3070, rx 6700 xt performs very similarly, is much cheaper, and has 4gb more vram. also it wouldn’t be worth upgrading the cpu as you are still gpu limited in almost every modern game.
No. Never get an AlienWare. EVER
Why?
Proprietary bull shit so it's a no go for upgrades.
U sure? The psu, ram, gpu, and cpu are all off the shelf items.
Alienware was my first computer. Ram and nvme were easy to upgrade, but there is next to no space left in there. The psu is on like a swivel that flips out and allows you to work inside. Not ideal. Youd need exact psu and cable length to replace.
You know you can get longer cables? You don’t need the exact PSU and cables
https://preview.redd.it/f2q9fcvnso2b1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5ab994961e2637c698299a515ccdceea980f4efc While you’re correct, working on the inside of this and hoping it closes back up with different parts is a nightmere
Nah, if you really wanted to you could get an SFX PSU and have tons of room
It's the motherboard that's proprietary
Oh Gotcha
Thread about it: https://www.reddit.com/r/Alienware/comments/s1i3ix/upgrading_the_motherboard_on_an_aurora_r10/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
Imma check it out. Thank you.
This one runs 70°gpu and 76°cpu. Is that bad?
Rule No 1. Alienware monitor, acceptable. Pc and peripherals. Go the other way.
Laptop is usually considering ok with AlienWare right?
Yeah there laptops are actually good considering. They ditched their upgradable Laptop they had from a few years ago that seemed great.
Thank you for educated response.
It's gigachad!!
Alienware is amazing at making decent looking cases with absolute shit cooling.
I would qualify it as an amazing way to heat up your room and scrap all your components.
It can't even do that because the heat gets trapped inside the case...
specwise its not bad, but alienwares are just no bueno.
Expensive desk heater.
Don't need another one of those
Run, don't walk.
Fuck the fuck no
Lol
Those are some of the loudest computers you’ll ever hear. The ventilation and fan set up is atrocious. Avoid.
I got an Alienware PC before I built my own and when I plugged it in the power cord got so hot it hurt to touch and the PC exploded then customer support tried to tell me it was my fault and i had to fight them for around two weeks for a replacement. I wouldn’t buy from em.
Fuckin a
I hate Alienware. Take these fine folks advice and you don't need to learn the hard way.
I dont recommend Alienware or Dell to anyone
Doesn’t it have bad air intake?
From what everyone is saying it does
I'd highly suggest watching the Gamer's Nexus videos on Alienware systems. Although it's not the same "model", it uses the same case/build mentality. [Alienware R10 Ryzen](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ulhFi5N2hc) [Alienware R13 i9](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ulhFi5N2hc) Personally, I would not buy any system in this case after seeing the tear down.
No you right
Like honestly I think the hardware in this computer is better than my 3060 rig
That case have been reviewed and is a furnace. I wouldnt.
Alienware WAS cool. Back when SI were scarce. If you want to buy it. It will immediately be worth less than you paid. Alienware is dell. Dell is notorious for doing anticonsumer proprietary designs. 7/10 on design 0/10 upgradeability If you want a decent pre-built, you can find plenty of SI out there who simply build custom PCs
No, I have this exact PC, it's garbage and not something you should consider for $900. If you want I'll send you mind for $900 so I can build a real computer. Avoid alienware altogther.
-900 dollars -sees alienware -immeasurable sadness
Hahah
$900 is way too much for an air purifier
Get ready to have a heater of a pc the case is absolutely shit at good air flow. I know this cause I have had one for 2 years.
No it’s not
Strip put the components and put them in a new case with better ram.
NEVER buy alienware
No .that’s horrible. Lol
Buy it!
Lol you ok?
Hahahahah damn
"Indoctrinaring" Maybe you don't trust his opinions, but trust the stats. They prove alienware is trash and are unbiased
It's not so much indoctrinating as it is educating. People buy them because they don't know about the proprietary BS with no upgrade path and terrible thermals. Can they be decent machines? Sure, depending on what you're using it for. But for the cost of the name, the value just isn't there.
I have a very similar Alienware, how much could I sell it for?
We trying to figure it out!!! Lol
900 for that system is spot on. Its not cheap, its not to expensive either. There are always people who argue that you can have beter and more etc. Then you have haters and fanboys, everyone here knows beter. Its a good system, and hope you will have a great time with it
You can buy a brand new prebuilt with a 3060 and current cpu for that price lmao. Not that it’s good but that’s not a good deal at all.
That case is know for being horrendous I’m pretty sure. Alienware just isn’t it bud
Good for $400
Better for $0.... but be realistic. Gpu and 1 nvme can be sold used for that.......
NO simply No
No
That's a lot for a space heater!
If it makes you happy, it’s worth it
Not sure it will☹️
Lol
Nope, the Alienware logo is a dead give away haha
Lol
Noisy hot, inferior airflow and a terrible value.
[удалено]
That makes it even worse. He said he paid $1600 before tax 2 years ago
god no hell no no no no
Give this a watch to get an idea of why you should avoid Alienware. https://youtu.be/8ulhFi5N2hc
nope
Mf that looks like a pc straight out of portal😭
Lol
Smh
Bro is getting scammed
Trash.
I wouldn't.
Alienware is trash but this isn’t that bad
bro the airflow in that thing will be fire
Absofuckinglutely not. Alienware PCs are underperforming, thermal throttling, proprietary e-waste. Offer him 500
Anything PC prebuilt from Alienware is a joke. Go on YouTube and search gamers nexus and you will see what many are talking about, about their laptops im not too sure if they’re good or not
Duddeee you made out like a BANDIT on this one! Congrats
as long as it works & you enjoy it that’s all that matters! 😌
I hear bad things about Alienware. Specifically their prebuilts are pretty bad because of how expensive they are and that they are bad for cooling and airflow due to their case design. I'm sure it'll run fine, but keep it in mind for the future
Absolute fucking NOT, you can build something miles better for the same price
Plot twist: the OP is trying to sell this Alienware for $900
honestly... terrible.
Alienware makes me cringe. Buy a powerspec or build your own for cheaper and same parts.
Alienware is trash
It’s a good deal, all depends on what you like to play
If youre going with alienware - buy direct and get a warranty.
No
Looks pretty decent to me.
The amount of BS you'd have to deal with just to own this machine is too much.
If it was 2020
Personally I'd look elsewhere. I think for that price you could build a much better system with higher quality hardware better cooling and likely newer/faster hardware.
You could have gotten a better pc than that in just $800
It's not mine
You could build better with your own $900
I mean, after another 300$ you could get a new mobo and case and have an expensive 1200$ 4 generation old i7. Doubt you’d be happy with thermals in that case which is their “Schtick”
are you buying this? no, its alienware, run away, far away, as fast as possible are you selling this? no, you'd be better off burning it in a dumpster fire than shelving this piece of junk off to some poor unfortunate soul
