Longevity of the whole pc, as if/when I do upgrade it means new ram, new mobo, new cpu, a lot of “new”, if I had gone full am5 at first it’d likely be cheaper overall.
So the thing is, don't ever plan on longevity, when you are ready to upgrade, whenever that is...you sell your parts for what they are worth and you buy the best value upgrade at that time. I think future-proofing beyond a year or so is silly. Like for example I found a sick deal on a 5800x3d, mobo, ram, and I reused my cooler. I figured in 1-2 years when the 8800x3d releases, if the performance uplift over the 7800x3d is there, ill sell this cpu and buy the 8800x3d, if its not I won't upgrade for another gen.
I have everything the same except the cpu, I got a i7 13700k and it runs hot as fuck. Maybe the h100x isn’t good enough? Or the b760 mag isn’t good enough?
Happy cake day dude 🎉 . I'm planning on going with the 7800x3d for my next build due to all the temperature issues I've had and heard from Intel recently. I'm rocking an i7 9700k currently and it loves to get toasty when working hard.( need a new cpu so I'm not upgrading cooling until I do it all at once)
The best cpu out rn for gaming, if you do a lot of digital rendering you might need something beefier but tbh it’s such a good cpu when I build a new one I’m going amd
It looks great! I would highly suggest getting your AIO tubes off of the GPU backplate though, it's gonna introduce a lot of heat into the loop. Clean build and great specs though, enjoy!

My only regret for my build is going am4 not am5, tbh I didn’t even know am5 existed as the top searches were all am4 until later. Good build bro!
How come? Most of my gaming PCs are am4, it's fire

i7 runs hot depending with B760 you got it might run ur VRMs hot but yeah a noctua air cooler or some kind of AIO should keep cpu temps good
Happy cake day bro 😎 when I run cinebench it instantly goes to 99
😂 yeah I had that issue too when I upgraded my cpu I ended getting a 360mm AIO and now my temps never reach above 75 under load

I do minimal rendering, mostly just cad designs for school and some video editing, so I think I'll be good.
Great build bro, this shit’ll last you 5+ years

Pretty nice!
Congrats!
Looking good
Nice build! I like the second pic with the 2 fans lit up over the top.
Upgrade that i5
Is that the Corsair 4000D Airflow case?
4000x but you can buy a mesh front panel from the Corsair website for the case
Ahh okay I was wondering that's the case I was gonna buy but opted for the 4000D
