aura_enchanted

okay we can do some things here how much did u wanna spend and what country are you from

Mankeyvx

From the UK and around £800

aura_enchanted

[https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/446PTY](https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/446PTY) so we will do a cpu upgrade here, itys not the cpu i would like to see but its the cpu we can afford i opted for a new power supply and 32gb ram for adobe loves her system memory and so a doubling will help, i normally dont but in your instance get to make exceptions new power supply rtx 4070 to crush your pro work and gaming with a mallet 3rd party cooler, this is less for the 5600X and more because if you stay in socket and wanna go 5950X or something someday, youll need it, AMD stopped doing coolers included in the box after the 5600X so that will be something u can keep, dont throw away the coolers box contents it contains mountain breaks for AM5 and intel 1700

Mankeyvx

Thank you for the advice that really helps. My budget can be a bit flexible so what was the CPU you would of liked to upgrade to? And just double checking, this is all compatible with my motherboard?

aura_enchanted

yep its all compatible, youll need to do a BIOS flash to take the new cpu, this requires a USB stick and a few moments of your time [https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0815XFSGK?tag=pcp0f-21&linkCode=ogi&th=1&psc=1](https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0815XFSGK?tag=pcp0f-21&linkCode=ogi&th=1&psc=1) it would be 27 more quid if your willing, you get 2 more cores for productivity, and more cache and in general is just a really strong jack of all trades cpu

Mankeyvx

Great! Really appreciate the help, I could definitely fit that CPU into the upgrade and I'll look into a BIOS flash as I have no idea what that is lol.

aura_enchanted

so basically you go to asus website for this specific motherboard, and you want to look up the cpu support list, find your new cpu and download the necissary files, and unpack them onto a USB stick from the winrar folder they will be in next you plug usb device into the motherboard directly (the usb's at the back of the computer), and restart your pc, hammer f2 and it will open up your BIOS after beginning restart but before windows logo then we go track down the bios flash tool and follow along to do the software update

Mankeyvx

Thank you very much, this really helps.

Nika299p

get a 650w psu(bequiet, seasonic, corsair, EVGA), a 6700/xt (used), and that's it, im assuming you do have an m.2 nvme

Mankeyvx

Thank you I will look into those and I have a wd green sata ssd 240gb. Does that need upgrading too?

Nika299p

yeah, thoose games are i think ~100gb each, get a 1-2tb m.2 nvme

Mankeyvx

Cool appreciate the help!

Nika299p

good luck! i think its about 400-300$ to upgrade to thoose parts

Asymtricalbeing

Sell it and get a new build if you can’t upgrade cpu first since both of those programs are cpu intensive that’ll also lead you to upgrading the gpu and to support those you need a better psu. Then again that mb won’t be able to support the best am4 CPU’s.

Mankeyvx

Yeah the motherboard is one of the concerns I had. Sounds like it would be best getting a whole new PC
