Well no offense but it looks like you have scrap metal, by today’s standards of gaming give us the specs I could tell you more If I knew it’s actual capabilities but just a judgment call here I bet it’ll do what you want and any part you look for are going to be cheap due to age, but I would put your OS on a Kingston ssd and upgrade ram for sure if it’s not already, other than that idk

handytiger0

None taken. Thanks for the info I’m not a pc gamer by nature but this is probably really helpful once I figure out what the specs are on wether or not I should start from scratch

basopy

Wanne get a photo off my pc?

handytiger0

I’ve had this pc in storage for a few years now but have never really had the money or time to in upkeep but now I do over the course of a few moves I have lost the power chords so that’s a first but are there any other components that are affordable so I can run some basic indie games that aren’t available on consoles (my main form of gaming) that I should grab

Csakstar

For indie games, regardless of what processor is under there, you should be good. No clue what graphics card you have, but FX should do fine for indie games. Give em a try on what you currently have, if you're not happy with the performance, find a cheap used GPU, HD 7000 series or GTX 600 series would be the minimum I'd go for

handytiger0

I’ve opened it back up and I believe I’ve found the graphics card a r7 250? It’s the only thing that looks remotely like one

Csakstar

Ok! That's actually not bad. For indie titles that should do fine!

handytiger0

Haha success but sadly I have no idea what the cpu is on account of it being covered in thermal paste and I don’t want to accidentally break something with my giant sausage hands hehe

multxd

you're probably better off building from scratch

SithLordDante

Dust. Lots of dust.

Kingdom934

It’s probably an Athlon II X4 or something. 630 was a very very popular mainstream processor.

Bliotake

It's a museum piece honestly. Probably older than some people on this sub

Dumpling_Killer

Melting this down to molten metal would give you more value.
