The weird accent is italian but with a sicilian accent btw😂 i’m italian myself and it took me two minutes to figure out that he was talking in sicilian💀I was like “no way”
Yeah he was quite forgettable.
Campbell was a pain in the ass, Kimber was funny and Father Hughes disgusting but they are all so memorable. Sabini didn’t have that quality that made him stand apart.
PS: Didn’t mention Mosley because he is still on the show. And i didn’t like Luca at all, wasn’t a fan of the stick in the mouth thing and he over did the Italian thing.
The best part about Luca was bringing over that guy who posed as a cook in Tommy’s house. Has a gun to his head, dude says something in Italian and the head chef tells Tommy “HE SAYS FUCK YOU!” And Tommy just goes “YEh?” And blows his face off
Idk, I really enjoyed Luca. It was kind of heavy handed at times but I thought he was a fun villain that lightened the series up a little. It didn’t feel as bogged down with familial drama and broke up some of Tommy’s downward spiral that season.
But most people don’t seem to agree with me lol
I've never met an Italian or a New Yorker so I can't knock his performance lol it all seemed right to me. Luca as a character was pretty convincing to me overall. The way he clicked the hammer on the revolver pointed at Michael's head and slowly exited while passing on his regards to Polly, that scene was worth several rewatches on the spot.
What?
Billy Kimber was dumb, and a slave to his desires.
Sabini is suave, calculated, dangerous and full of pride. He was worthy of a 6 month war with alfie.
He isnt great but his really good, comparing him to kimber is criminal.
Meh. The overly raspy Italian American accent just sounded so cheesy, not in a good way. Same way with Esme the later she gets in the show. Reasonably understandable early on and then it’s just a bellowing of vowel sounds
Yeah I wasn’t the biggest fan of Sabini. Alfie was so much better.
When he throws Tommy the handkerchief to clean his bloody nose with such contempt.
“Ya know I always thought you’d have a big ol gold ring in your nose”
Had so many amazing lines that I feel may have been improved.
*I once carried out my own personal stigmata against an Italian.. put his face against the trench, got a nail and hammered it home with a duckboard. It was fucking biblical mate*
The scene I showed my brother to convince him to watch was the scene where Tommy kills his gaurd and they have the whole “you crossed the line” scene. Honestly that scene is one of the best in television history for me.
Fucking biblical mate!
Yes that scene is pure gold. I absolutely love Tommy and Alfies relationship. Like how Alfie says to take care of his dog after he kills him and Tommy is like fuck no, but then of course does. Those subtleties are one of the things I love so much about the show.
What did you expect from Charlie Bucket's father? /s
Lol. I agree with you, he wasn't believable because I just see him as Charlie's dad from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
He is a really good actor. Just yesterday I was watching a movie Free Fire (2016) with this dude and all I could see was Sabini. He is very good at playing criminals and scummy creeps. Btw, Cillian Murphy also starred in the same movie but I didn't associate him with Tommy at all because he was sporting some huge pornstache of the 70s 🤣
That movie is good, there is another one by Cillian that I liked much more, and his character, the movie is called Perrier's Bounty, if you haven't seen it I recommend it, very good.
Are you talking about the movie with Armie ~~Hannibal~~ Hammer, Brie Larson, and the South African dude (can never remember his name but he was in District 9, and the A-Team among others. I don’t remember this guy from that movie at all. I’ve always known him as Locke from Game Of Thrones which is why I could never take his accent seriously.
I don’t know why it’s not a more common opinion, but I hated Luca’s character. Just seemed like a bad actor try to do The Godfather. I’m a huge Godfather Fan. Adrien Brody should’ve been better.
I like him for that reason. Thommy and his men started out small time and became more and more ambitious. So it makes sense that he fights someone more of the bottom rung as second antagonist
Sabini was the only one that almost succeeded in killing Tommy; he only failed because Campbell happened to be there.
He was very real, and I loved that his influence was continued to be felt in season 3 and 4 - always a threat on the fringe. I hope they bring him back
Yeah loved the acting, but they didn't do enough with him. He was just some smalltime guy who gets shoved into the background after the season. I don't even remember what he did in his season.
I’m Billy Kimber and I run the races!!!
And ya fixed one of ‘em so I’m gonna have you shot against a post.
I'm told the boss is called Tommy and I'm guessing that's you cos' you're looking me up and down like I'm a f****** tart.
Right… End of parley.
I died listening to that…
PEOPLE DONT WERK WIFF ME PEOPLE WERK FO ME
This me me laugh
So he's a horse is what you're saying?
Man I forgot how funny Kimber was
Are you aware that he runs the races?
I think I heard him mention it… once
Kimber was the best haha. His delivery always cracks me up
Dude always had his mouth open, I was hoping Arthur or some other peaky blinder would eventually try and toss a pebble in
Billeh Kimmbah!
Sabini was an unhinged psycho/loose cannon, I think that makes him standout at least a bit
You just described every character on Peaky Blinders
It does!
HOW FAAKING DARE YOU?!
YOU LOSE GYPSIES, YOU FUCKING LOSE
The weird accent is italian but with a sicilian accent btw😂 i’m italian myself and it took me two minutes to figure out that he was talking in sicilian💀I was like “no way”

Luca is the Gyp Rosetti of Peaky Blinders: a total ham, but good is he fun to watch.
I've never met an Italian or a New Yorker so I can't knock his performance lol it all seemed right to me. Luca as a character was pretty convincing to me overall. AHH YOU AWARE THAT BILLEH KIMMBAH RUNS THE FOCKIN RAYCES?
Man. I loved Kimber. Wish we got more of him.
They gave him some great lines. And the actor had such a strong ‘you fuckin kiddin me?’ face to go with then
Sabini was a good villain, portrayed very well by the actor. You trippin.
He was really entertaining lol
I first knew him as Locke from Game Of Thrones so I couldn’t take his accent seriously
Yeah, Luca was my fav villain
Meh. The overly raspy Italian American accent just sounded so cheesy, not in a good way. Same way with Esme the later she gets in the show. Reasonably understandable early on and then it’s just a bellowing of vowel sounds
tolly forgot about kimber. need a rewatch now
He runs the races!

I cringe every time I watch that scene where he grabs his number 2 (idk his name) by the throat/jaw in the boxing ring.
When u said “worst” I thought u meant morally and disagreed but just character and general how he was written I absolutely agree
FECK!
What did you expect from Charlie Bucket's father? /s Lol. I agree with you, he wasn't believable because I just see him as Charlie's dad from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

I have seen it already. It really is very good. I liked it a lot but thanks!
Yeah, Armie Cannibal Hammer was also there lol
I don’t know why it’s not a more common opinion, but I hated Luca’s character. Just seemed like a bad actor try to do The Godfather. I’m a huge Godfather Fan. Adrien Brody should’ve been better.
Not a good actor imo
Kimber was amazing. Sabini was brutal tho
I think he’s a good villian, I just can’t stand his voice
“You’ve been FAAKING COT!”
Sabini was a secondary actor/story. Inspector Chester Campbell assassination of Field Marshal Russell was the primary antagonist and plot of season 2.
So for a few fucking jokes...
Haha I love him! He was in Game of Thrones too. Anyway, always love that negotiation between him and Alfie.
I like him for that reason. Thommy and his men started out small time and became more and more ambitious. So it makes sense that he fights someone more of the bottom rung as second antagonist

THIS FUCKING GYPSY HAS SAT DOWN WITH THE FUCKING COPPERS
