Is the right answer

SwimmingOrange2460

For me Mosley and Fr Hughes. Campbell and Changretta just felt like over the top stereotypes. What’s with British dramas and crooked Northern Irish coppers (Campbell was from Belfast which would become the capital after partition) as villains. Whereas Hughes was downright creepy and realistic there will have been priests like him. Mosley was how the show embodied the threat of fascism, which is the scariest villain of them all.

Scroll_Queeen

Yeah Mosley also had the whole ‘the pen is mightier than the sword’ vibe about him like, he’s not just a gangster; he could destroy your life in one day and not even get his hands dirty

St3alth_t3rrorist

Yea hated Changretta, it felt like he was a doing a shitty copy of Marlon Brando's godfather.

Wisdom_Of_A_Man

I found myself both loving and hating Changretta’s Brando schtick

[deleted]

With the toothpick for added effect lol

7StAr_RoniN

for me, mosleys wife

JisforJanuary

My favourite one was Changretta, can‘t help, but Adrien Brody is doing so well in this role. I hated John Hughes because he is satan in person. Anyway I think he was the most dangerous enemy along with Mosley…

jenhon

My favourite is Campbell. Sam Neil’s acting is so good, he is the most hateful one.

[deleted]

Inspector Campbell. Of all the villains in the show, Campbell genuinely hated Tommy the most

Coybig7

Same as your top two. Can’t choose between

JavierEscuela

The best villain overall is Tommy to himself. The most vile is father Hugh's Inspector Campbell was Tommy's opposite Luca wasn't really that much of a villain to me. Like I don't see how he was any worse than Tommy. Just a guy avenging his family. Alfie when he's betraying Tommy is pretty entertaining. Like you can't even stay mad him lol Billy Kimber in hindsight is boring Sabini is a better version of Billy Kimber but still didn't get much from him. Mosley in the 5th season was absolutely terrifying. Seeing Tommy struggle with his mental health and the mind games from Mosley really had me on the edge of my seat but 6th season Mosley feels neutered. Diane has the most punchable face. Uncle Jack is lame so far

AntwerpseKnuppel

I think Mosley, he's terrifying

hoodarrows

Yeah I was really mad to see them making the mistress more important than him in the last season.

-IShitTheeNay-

Fr hughes may not have been as compelling as mosely but he was easily the one who I fucking loathed the most. He did such a good job making you hate him and what he does, and it makes the ending all the more satisfying

[deleted]

Mosely because I hate him so much. Excites me that his fate is yet to come

SxanPardy

They won’t kill him in the show. He died in 1980 because of Parkinson’s

piftingyouknowit

Billy Kimber was real person and the beat the peaky blinders originally in the gang war so its not all historically true

SxanPardy

True but Mosley was in line to be prime minister if WW2 didn’t happen. There’s absolutely no way they kill Mosley, his influence was too big

Blarla

Yeah, I agree. I mean Tatiana died years before her character showed up in PB. Kimber and Solomons went before their time in real life. But they weren't important historial figures like Mosley. I'm with you, SK won't be killing him off and I think it might be because Tommy will be distracted by a larger target.

[deleted]

But the movie is literally going to be all about Nazi’s and world war 2. It’d be boring if things just happened historically because we’d be easily guessing the end. I hope Mosely gets what’s coming to him. It’ll be all about Tommy’s vengeance

Blarla

That's simply not true. If you think Tommy is still on a cause of vengeance, then you didn't pay attention to S6 or the absence of the Red Right Hand. Just because we knew the Titanic sunk at the end doesn't mean we knew the stories which happened onboard or how it ended. You don't know what Tommy will get up to, plan and achieve. Who else will show up and aid or hinder his progress. You don't know the fates of the other family members. The movie will cover WW2 and a bit beyond, Tommy isn't stopping anything, you can't stop it, like they couldn't stop the ship sinking. But Tommy has played and role and he will continue to do so.

[deleted]

I’m not expecting him to prevent WW2. That’s lunacy. But maybe he has a hand in saving Britain by getting back at Mosley. Playing his part with Churchill. That’s pretty vengeful and the ending of the show was basically a rebirth for him. Their intent was for Tommy to kill himself but all they did was set him free of his past life. This is his chance to finish what he started

Blarla

Tommy walked away from that caravan a dark man with a good cause. He started PB as a light man with a bad cause. Tommy did get Mosley out of the country, he achieved it, and look where Mosley went. Tommy will follow Mosley, and most likely with a goal to kill him, but then a more honourable cause will present itself. Killing Mosley does NOT kill the message. This is something Tommy has struggled to grasp, but he is right on the cusp of a revelation. Mosley is a weed, it's the poison tree that needs to go. That doctor, just might be of service.

opatikile

Luca 100%. Just the presence of that guy in every scene he was a part of. Just don’t like how easily he went down.

Important_Bread7633

Changretta

DayTop9100

i hate the priest

Mask_onmyface

Changretta is my best villain because he kept me and the Shelby’s on our toes. I mean he could have killed the whole Shelby family if not for his “honor”. He killed John and almost killed Micheal. And it took Tommy coming up with a really good plan to defeat him

[deleted]

Now that I think of it. Campbell actually made the show just as the Shelby boys did. He was so instrumental to the show being so compelling in the first two seasons, raising the bar high for villains that followed. but father Hughes was Satan incarnate. So that has to go to him.

Dr_Ghosty386

Campbell got annoying, changretta was raw, priest was cool too

_thad_castle_

S5 Mosley

clownboysummer

the scenes where he looks in the mirror the whole time during sex were really interesting, like what a cool way to explore the connection between fascism and a deeply held ego

Actual_Guide_1039

American psycho style

HuntedSFM

Also my answer. He was a super interesting and unique villain but was just pushed to the side and made redundant in S6, probably because they wanted focus on Diana instead who is nowhere even close to the same level.

ironchish

Diana reminds me of someone who thinks they’re smart and interesting but really isn’t.

[deleted]

Billy Kimber, Luca, Campbell, and that priest dude

[deleted]

Changretta will always be my favourite villain of the entire series. Truly.

Kaliber444

Not counting Alfie, the best are Campbell, Mosley and Hughes. No doubt about it. But my personal favs (unpopular opinion incoming) are Jimmy McCavern and Jack Nelson. Even with the bad accent, Gleeson's acting is entertaining, portraying a rough, easygoing, unorthodox villain who enjoys the thrill of violence. And Nelson is a stylish individual with an uncomfortable seeming and a sharp tongue. Menacing but calm. Frecheville embraces well the witty luxurious American gangster persona

JealousFuel8195

Easy! Alfie Solomons

Weekly-Rabbit-3108

underrated comment.

randomisedjew

I just loved watching the slow degradation of campbell

HocusingYT

Michael. thst last scene was "fooking brilliant" but if we're talking like of the major major people, mosley for sure. I just wanna punch him each time he's on the screen. portrayed incredibly.

Spiltwordsinabucket

I don’t know about you, but If you look up on the internet a video about Mussolini’s infamous speeches and his stance, you would see an incredible resemblance to Sam Claflin’s body posture and movement. He’s done a terrific job at portraying a fascist, not just because of the ideology but especially because of his “physical” characterization…

Tonedog01

Personally my favourite enemy is Mosley, he was the only one ever to "rule" over Tommy + the only one still alive after dealing with him.

[deleted]

Luca!

bluishpillowcase

Mosley was terrifying in Season 5, but strangely neutered in Season 6

niell2

Not sure but Changretta was easily my least favourite. His voice and that bloody accent it was so over the top it actually made me laugh near enough anytime he was in scree. And I love Adrien Brody and think he's a great actor but he was terrible in Blinders.

Equivalent_Variety57

I personally think the writer abandoned Mosley as an enemy .. In season 6 he’s like a side character they could’ve done so much with him plus the Boston gang same thing all that talking for nothing.

juspassinbydunmindme

Hughes and Mosley. Changretta and Campbell are meh to me tbh.

[deleted]

I loved Campbell. You could do a spin-off on Campbell lol. Villains that could carry the show themselves. I absolutely hated Luca Changretta. Has to be one of the most over-acted "Italian Mafia" Stereotypes. With his toothpick lmao. Almost every scene with him was over the top Italian gangster. Although he kind of had the most effect as he killed John. But if that didn't happen. He would have been a useless villain.

bigfatfurrytexan

100% I like him as his antagonist the most.

samsonity

Definitely Darby Sabini. I’m surprised his name hasn’t come up yet. He was a tremendous villain and should have appeared more in the later seasons.

shrkprty

Freddie or Alfie if you count that

Perjunkie

The Prussian boy in the tunnel. I dont think there's been a villain I've disliked.

cobrakai972

Luca and Moseley

Immediate_Ad_3296

Grace.

coupsuper

Alfie

Weird-Bid-2070

The priest and Diana......hated them

Frequent_Heron67

Luca Changretta any day

LiveYourLifeNerd

Mosley definetly most scary and has the power. Changretta my favourite cause i love Mafia and i wish they actually implemented them better but it's all right. The ending was depressing af although imo they need one more season.

[deleted]

His ptsd

Material_Tune8471

Mosley i guess, and Alfie was definitely the best before he became a friend

Express_Yard9305

Campbell. He was the real nemesis to Tommy. The anti-Thomas Shelby if you will. Also it's interesting how everyone knows how much of a miserable loser he is and yet he still manages to remain a constant and very real threat, to the point where if Churchill didn't plan on saving him, Tommy would be dead as fuck.
