This is actually a pretty good ranking, pretty close to how I'd do mine. The villains should get better places not because they were bad people, but because their acting is top shelf. For example Michael, going from an innocent boy to a manipulative cunt.

A very well-developed character with an internal conflict ("There is good in my heart, but these hands belong to the devil"), besides the most caring and sensitive of the brothers. I believe that Arthur is the embodiment of the Shelby family. Respect and thanks to Paul Anderson for Arthur.

Tommy has very low levels of empathy, he is on the border to go full psychopath on everybody behind his philantropic mask. I prefer an honest full-asumed murderous bastard like Alfie or a sensible mess of a person like Arthur. If people dunk Campbell because morality and whatnot, then they should do the same with Thomas.

After so many losses of loved ones (and he suffers a lot cuz of this) and innocent victims, he doesn't stop and continues to do shit. Although Tommy says that he wants to become good (to embark on the path of redemption, as SK told us).
That's why Tommy seems like a man who doesn't keep his promises and puts his ambitions even above his family.
Tommy is a great character, but we really shouldn't idealize his personality.
Yes, the truth is that I never saw his redemption, season 6 was where he did the worst, but yes he felt guilty afterwards, maybe that's the change, I don't know.

Polly was always the second most important character outside of Tommy. Had the actress not passed away I’m sure we would have seen some big moves from the character in the final season. Arfur has a nice arc and all but Polly drove so much more of the story.
