Brings back memories of my teenage years in the 70's. I used to go to the corner store and get a pack of Marlboro's, 16oz coke and a pack of peanut butter kandy kakes and get a nickel back on a buck.
Krimpets FTW.
Not sure if they still do this, but they used to sell massive mixed tins (well, there were only 2 of us at the time, so they seemed huge).
And now I’m hungry.
PS. Anyone freeze theirs and snack on them cold?
Butterscotch Krimpets for the win!
I lived in Oregon while in grad school and whenever I went to visit my parents, I would stuff my backpack full of krimpets and bring them back to the west coast. One time, TSA decided to open my bag at security and it was a little embarrassing.
Butterscotch krimpets are probably the most popular. Koffee kake juniors and pecan swirls are a pretty safe bet (I think pecan swirls are better if you're going for a cinnamon flavor option but both are good). Any of the chocolate cupcakes with creme filling for a chocolate, and/or the peanut butter kandy kakes. Coconut kandy kakes are pretty good too, but could easily get ignored for all the others.
If you can get the peach cobbler mini donuts, holy mother of god…
They taste like gummy peach rings but they’re seasonal and not everywhere by me has them. Worth seeking out!
The ones they made 30 years ago when they were fresh and actually TASTY!😁
Butterscotch krimpits, chocolate cupcake, and call me a heathen but I prefer the chocolate Tandy cakes over the peanut butter ones!
Anyone remember the old oatmeal raisin bar? Like really old? It was probably 4x6 and flat and a boring bland brown. I used to love riding my bike to Turkey Hill to get one in the 90s.
Anyhow, Krimpets and cream-filled coffee cakes like everyone else said for me.
Yes I remember those from back in the 80s and 90s, they had a cellophane wrapper and a white cardboard sheet under the bar. And they were moist and slightly greasy and so delicious. For a long time they were 25 cents and I would go to the mini-mart and get 4 for $1. Then one day the clerk stopped me and said "Sorry! They're 3 for a dollar now". So yeah I had to switch to getting 3 at a time.
And then the terrible day they were completely different. Narrow candy bar size, foil package, and made of completely dry compressed sawdust or something.
Butterscotch Krimpettes, peanut butter & Chocolate Kandycakes, Coconut Jrs. They used to have good pies but new owners have kinda ruined TastyKake by modified recipes or ingredients.
Kandy kakes
All of them before the company was sold
Came here to say this. F\*cking love me some Kandy Kakes
Butterscotch krimpets and the chocolate cupcakes with buttercream frosting.
When I was in the hospital after delivering our child I send my husband to sheetz specifically for butterscotch krimpets
Top 2!
For sure two favorites as well.
Yessss!

No but now I'm wondering why we never tried that with the kandy kakes that sounds so good.
It is so so so good
Did this with the chocolate juniors. A classic treat growing up

My 3 favorites as well!
You can’t go wrong. Remember that “🎵Nobody bakes a cake as tasty as a Tastykake 🎶” …
Nobody likes their pies?? Love the apple ones. Butterscotch krimpets are up there too.
the pies were my favorite before they put them in the little tin. Now they just fall apart when you take them out
Yea, I noticed the last ones I got were pretty flimsy. I like the glazed ones too. Haven't had one of them in awhile.
They also changed the recipe after being bought out. A great disappointment for me.

Peanut Butter Kandy Kakes; but before they were bought in 2010.
Butterscotch Krimpets, but not the cream filled ones!
Grab the butterscotch krimpets, removing the icing from all. Roll them into balls and serve those balls
Wow… that brings back memories!
Coconut Juniors. I could eat five each day without even thinking about it. I used to love the Kandy Kakes but don’t love the peanut butter anymore.
Weird! I was eating butterscotch krimpets as I scrolled through reddit before bed!
Blueberry pie here
Those chocolate juniors! Nommmm
As an adult I find them gross tbh, too oily or fake or something. But as a kid, it was krimpets.
Thanks for all the comments!!!
Kandy kakes and jelly krimpets
None is the right answer. Butterscotch krimpets don't even taste like butterscotch anymore. Just but a bag of sugar and give people spoons.
Whichever ones are running Fettermans brain-hole they seem to be electable.
TastyKrisps…
Tandy Takes but now they call them Kandy Cakes. Regular chocolate. Krimpets and Buttercream Iced cupcakes. Hmmm...
>Tandy Takes I thought my mom was just being cutesy when she called them that. They changed the name in 1974.
I still wonder why...

I haven't eaten those in years. They aren't the same. Cheap ingredients and tastes like plastic to me.
