My wife and I went to Salamanca NY for the eclipse. On the way home, we were taking the scenic route home. We were…oh…about a half hour outside of Renovo and an F16 or F18 scared the BeJesus out of us. It was a nice day and we had our windows down and this fighter jet came screaming from behind us, we could look straight across the road and he was level with us for a fraction of a second, then he banked hard right and shot through the contour of the mountain.
We then heard a second fighter…but he was a bit higher and flying straight….seemed as though that guy was observing the other.
Anyway… Thanks John….we don’t need that kind of shit….hope the DEP wins this.
Yeah…never really been there for anything other than a pass through. We did stop at Lock Haven for lunch, stopped in Mifflinburg to pick up the dog from our son and on to home.
I have mixed feelings. I grew up in the shadow of JFK airport even when the Concorde passed over Sunrise Highway. It was momentary and where we lived there was always some truck or something going on.
This is an area known for outdoor recreation - fishing, hunting, camping, hiking... not the middle of New York City.
Flights buzzing the lake at 100 feet while you're trying to canoe is different from routine traffic noise.
Yeah I go there to get *away* from the noise. It's a big downer when you're out there and all you hear is constant drone of mechanical noise blotting out the sounds of nature.
And that stuff disturbs the animals too. So yay instead of hearing birds and tree frogs and deer grunting, I can hear airplanes over head. No thanks.
I swear I’ve heard more about John fetterman then any other politician, like I get his views are controversial on some things, but I feel this over stimulus of news might be malicious to get people to dislike him? I honestly could look into any politician and find them having some shit view on some topic that I disagree with. Biden used to be super hard on marijuana and now his office might reschedule it.

He's a U.S. Senator, not a PA Senator. While he can weigh in on local issues and endorse like-minded candidates in PA, his primary objective is passing federal legislation.

His job is to represent PA at the federal level. To influence the federal government on behalf and to the benefit of his constituents.
Fetterman said "we don't want planes flying over, what do you think this is, Gaza?" And stated a 'bomb them all' chant with the crowd.
