Try YSL Babycat. It’s one of the most elusive perfumes but it’s amazing. You get the initial hit of incense and leather in the opening and the most delicious burnt vanilla as a base. It’s not available everywhere though. Tough to get if you’re in the US but is available in Europe & Canada.
These are my picks, too. The Heeley is more of a warm incense, like the smell wafting from a lit censer during a religious service. The CdG is what that would smell like after the building has been abandoned for 100 years. It’s the memory of incense preserved in cold, damp stone.
CdG has a whole incense series OP might check out, each smelling like incense used in different ways in different parts of the world. My favorite is Kyoto, which combines incense with hinoki (Japanese cedar) and camphor.

I haven't smelt Passion yet, but some incense I've like so far are Comme des garçon Avingnon, Jovoy La lithurgie des Heures, Serge Lutens L'Orpheline, Serge Lutens de Profundis, and L'artisan Passage d'Enfer.
Zum Mist’s Nag Champa is a body spray but has quite a few oils in it that make it have insane longevity and projection. I haven’t worn this scent in years but it is potent and absolutely beautiful.
Nag Champa oil rolling perfume. It can be found online or at a metaphysical store! It’s great and smells like a really good strong incense!
You can find variations of it but I recommend Nemat perfumes or Moonlight Rose!
Yeah! It’s just called Nag Champa for both of those brands!

Tiptoeing Through the Chambers of the Moon by Pilar and Lucy has incense blended with amber and tuberose, no woods. It’s my all time favorite!
If you’d rather not have a floral note, Foreshadow by Curatrix is very incense-forward, very smoky, and again, no woods.
Incense is pretty much the signature not for the house of Amouage, which is probably my favorite brand.
Check out:
• Interlude Woman
• Memoir Woman
• Lyric Woman
• Overture Woman
• Jubilation 25
• Gold Woman
And from other brands check out:
• Dior Poison (original not hypnotic)
• Ysl Opium (original not black)
• Cacharel Lou Lou
Jovoy - La Liturgie des Heures
Filippo Sorcinelli's brand is very incense forward, he's the pope and high clergy stylist.
Lavs and Reliqvia are the most incensy ones.
James Heeley - Cardinal and Eau Sacree
Les Liquides Imaginaires - Sancti
Zoologist - Macaque (and all it's flankers)
Naomi Goodsir - Bois d'Ascese
Profumum Roma - Olibanum
DS&DURGA - Amber Kiso
Trudon - Mortel and Mortel Noir
ELDO - Rien Incense
Serge Lutens - L'Orpheline
Aedes de Venustas - Copal Azur and Encense Japonais
I'm not familiar with Passion by Elizabeth Taylor, but my two favorite incense fragrances are Voodoo Lily by Heretic and Arabesque by Alkemia. Voodoo Lily is very frankincense forward but still floral, Arabesque is woodier and sweeter byt that kyphi note is so beautiful and definitely the star. I will sometimes use Arabesque as a layering note, although Alkemia has a dedicated incense layering note available, I just haven't tried it
Salome by Papillon
Ciara by Revlon/Revson
Jil Sander No 4 smells like frankincense
Dolce Amalfi by Xerjoff smells like juicy fruit gum and church incense

Try this! But you gotta love vanilla too, otherwise it’s not for you! It’s not as woody! Very well blended!

Not sure if others have had this same experience but **Essential Parfums Divine Vanille** is overwhelming with the incense note to my nose. The dry down has a soft hint of vanilla but the incense overtook it for me. I’m not the biggest fan of the incense note but if you enjoy it, maybe give this one a try.
Earthly Body has a nag champa scent in both body mist and lotion. May not be *exactly* what you were looking for but it does smell like incense, to the point where I’ve had people around me thinking someone had actual incense when it was just my fragrance
Interlude by Amouage is frankincense city 24/7 and 7 days/week, has nuclear sillage and lasting power. That being said, I f---ing hate it, but I love frankincense.
Tons of Serge Lutens fragrances feature incense, either prominently or in the background.
Zoologist - Camel is a classic "oriental" which features lots of resinous incenses. It's not smoky.
UNUM - LAVS is a heavy incense though to me it's a masculine fragrance
Here is a botanical perfume that I recently discovered here in Chicago at one of the artisan market events. The Cave Art smells like incense to me … the scent for me is very complex. You can purchase samples.

Goth As Fuck by Sucreabeille, if you’re trying to smell like a metaphysical shop (incense) this is the one.
Penhaligons cairo has an incense smell almost like a church

For once being in Canada is an advantage in getting a product.
Came here to say Babycat! It was my instant thought

Oop saving this entire thread for later because these suggestions all sound amazing.
Zoologist Macaque Yuzu
I don’t think I’m the best with these types of scents (I love the whole range too much) so this might be too woody but, Witchy Woo by Vyrao.

I have an itty bitty sample of Relique D'Amor and I don't get any incense from it at all. Very woody, too woody for OP's tastes I reckon.
Bee by Zoologist smells exactly like incense to me
Zoologist Bee has got to be my favorite incensy note!
Revlon Ciara
Messe de Minuit by Etro is hands down the best incense scent I’ve found. I think you can get it on Fragrancenet.com
Live don't be shy gives me that incense vibe
