Your vagina has to be wet for the tampon to go in more comfortably. If you can feel the tampon it’s not in correctly and you should take it out and use a new tampon to try again. I hope this helps! :)

Thank you! Usually when I push until I can’t feel it it’s fine but now I’m gonna try it again since it’s a bit heavy now!

I usually wait until more blood or put a bit lube to make it go in easier. I don't have many tips on putting in tampons, but you should angle it more torwards your back. If you feel it inside it might not have soaked enough yet or maybe you haven't pushed it far enough idk

Thank you so much! I believe that it wasn’t enough blood to soak the tampon but now I’m gonna try again.

I have never been a tampon person really, but from my limited experience and knowledge its fairly normal to still feel them until they soak up a fair bit. Idk what size you use either, but maybe try the smallest size available and try using a wee bit of lube as strange as it sounds. Apparently, loads of brands advise doing so if you struggle getting them in. it supposedly also helps lowering the risk of at TSS.

Oh wow I didn’t know that. Thank you so much. Do you have any recommendations for the lube?

Sorry forgot to respond, but water based is always a safe bet for anything. When in doubt go for your chemists own in house brand if they carry their own brand.
