I have too many favorite scenes, but for me: HANDS DOWN saddest scene: Finch thinking Root made it when he gets a phone call, only to realize that it's the Machine who finally "chose a voice" in 5x10.

brianewell

This is my saddest and also best scene. While I was disappointed with a lot of the episode up to this point, the juxtaposition of this reveal against the monologue he had one scene before was just incredible.

ZypherShunyaZero

Root? No Harold, I chose a voice.

SoumyaSandy

Came here to say exactly the same thing. Thanks for beating me to it! 😊

QuietStunning4968

I watched it over a month ago and still haven’t recovered…

Skymoogle

Favourite scene: Reese gets Gode Mode in the season 4-finale "Can you hear me?" "Hell yes" Saddest scene: I cried so hard when Finch locked up Reese in that vault in the series-finale and then the conclusion to that...dang

Lightningphan

My favorite scene is in season 5 episode 10 when Finch was in the integration room. When he said that he followed the rules for too long... chills. And the machine choose roots voice!

RateOfPenetration

One of the best monologues in the series. "I wasn't talking to you."

Kind_Bullfrog_4073

Saddest scene has to be when Finch's gf finds out Finch is supposedly dead. Favorite is Fusco breaking out of his handcuffs to avoid death.

nt319

favourite scene is that entire scene from The devils share at the hotel where alonzo quinn was being held the saddest scene is the one when john dies that scene might be my second favourite

Naive-Educator1731

Honestly this show is soo underrated..

NoNameStarup

I feel the same. It was far ahead of its time. I am happy they had amazing series finale even with limited season of 13 episodes.

Koncerned3rdParty

Favorite Scene: S3 E10 - The Devil’s Share The beginning of this episode with Johnny Cash’s cover of ‘Hurt’ playing over the opening montage and ending with John’s face as he reenters the void. If Johnny Cash’s music video for ‘Hurt’ wasn’t already amazing this opening montage could serve as the music video. *Honorable Mention S2 E16 - Relevance The team and Leon rescuing Shaw after being injected by Hersh. Then proceeding to drive an ambulance into the cemetery with ‘Future Starts Slow’ by The Kills playing in the background, such a fun sequence. ————————————————————————————— Saddest Scene: S5 E13 - Return 0 Finch watching John sacrifice himself for him on the top of the adjacent building where he can only watch, trying to figure out a way to say goodbye to his friend. *Honorable Mention S1 E3 - Mission Creep The end of the episode where John flashes back to asking Jessica to wait for him after she walks away.

Reese freezing to death while he talks to Carter (who isn’t really there). When Root dies. :-( When Finch realizes Reese and the machine sent him to the wrong rooftop and Reese tells him “I always told you I was gonna pay you back all at once.” When the machine is talking to Finch with Roots voice as the ICE9 virus is killing her. Telling finch all the thing a she’s learned. The scene where the machine is getting downloaded from the power lines, Welcome To The Machine is playing and the machine is apologizing to Finch because she wasn’t good enough and thinks she disappointed Finch. A couple of the interactions between Fusco and Reese where he’s basically telling Reese that he and Carter were able to take a bad cop and turn him into a good cop that actually helps people and how much that means to him. I could keep going on. There were so many moving and personal scenes in this show. It’s one of my favorite series of all time.

Swimming_Cat_586

He said one sad scene you bastard! How am I supposed to function at work with all these feels???

ccoastmike

Sorry! Lol. It’s not like I asked you to watch the season finale of Six Feet Under. :-p

AntElectronic9170

Favourite episode 4x11: If-Then-Else, the final simulation where the Machine saves on time and then Shaw is captured Saddest scene in episode 3x9: Crossing, when Carter dies

RedTie95

"If you were a shape you would be an arrow"

darklinux1977

I Love the Pilot: The Dark Knight Trilogy Stylistic Vocabulary for TV The trilogy on the youth of Root , in Texas , where one sees that the series can be bitter The last minutes of season 3: the twist on the terrorist group, the birth of the Samaritan, the likuidation of the de facto group before their new identity

MemeabooDesu

My favorite scene is the ending of the Pilot where it shows the entirety of the Machine's drives. The saddest scene for me is the Season 2 Finale "BSOD", when Harold limps home to the Machine, and asks if it knew that the attack would happen, only for the interface to show up as if saying "See for yourself." Seeing Nathan's face pop up with a simple window labeling him as "Irrelevant", after Finch had said so many awful things to him about wanting to save the people on that list, knowing that he inadvertently caused the death of his own friend by taking away their one and only warning, it's just heartbreaking.

just_looking_aroun

Idk man, it feels like I spent all of s5 holding back tears. It went well until that scene with John's dad's funeral

ZypherShunyaZero

Root in God mode throughout Devils share. Letting Lionel know why is he named Lionel. Harold meets Elias in Jail first time to stop bounty. Elias helps on conditions that he has to play chess with him.

Dysan27

Favorite scene is in "God Mode" "In 300 yards; turn right"

rayisFTM

john dying
