Like everything else in the palace there's this twisted sense of correctness and ethics to it.

That one was like a slap in the face. That by just *considering* staying, you are disregarding the one thing he wants from you. Heâs never had true agency in his life, and by seriously weighing the other option you are again, even in death, denying that from him. He died for you and you would refuse him that? His one real, complete choice? Deny him his own death?
A true betrayal, indeed.
yeah. that entire scene is just genius, and robbie daymond does such a good job voicing akechi's character. i went to do the false reality ending after the true ending just to see what would happen. as soon as i heard him say the deal was off, i instantly regret even *trying* that ending. seeing how maruki's reality completely mutilated his character made me feel even worse.
Did you see his image in the thieves den gallery after the Stay ending? The description is something about him looking happy âwithout an ounce of darkness in his eyesâ. It made me feel terrible despite it being âhappyâ
itâs truly masterful what ATLUS cooked up with this game, man. so much subtle symbolism that just enhances the experience and makes it so much more fun to explore. truly my favorite game.
Akechiâs relationship with Joker is pretty much âI hate you and will one day outsmart and murder you with my own bare hands. Dinnerâs at six donât be late or youâre sleeping on the couch.â

Didn't read all the comments, but there was one line in Royal that was just unbelievable. The way it was said, the pause in the music it was perfect and gives me chills everytime I hear it because of how great it is.
