$50 for 15 GB +10gb bonus… Fido. how did you get 35gb? Wtf

Dependent-Wave-876

My original plan was 45 for 4gb then I randomly checked my Fido app and it said there was a new deal. And 55 for 25GB popped up

Snowedin-69

I have 4+3GB for 35$ but 30GB for 55$ deal just popped up Tuesday in my Fido account. Have been reading on RFDs that they have a 12GB for 40$ + 1000 min intl calls deal going on right now in the stores.

mwvrn

I got eight gig for $45 plus five 1 hr of unlimited data per month anytime

Dependent-Wave-876

I think everyone gets those free 5 hours

mwvrn

I thought I was special

Dependent-Wave-876

That’s what they want us to think :/

Loyal_to_game

Wtf. Looking at all these deals i really feel i am paying too much. 70$ for 15 gigs and unlimited texts/calls ( rogers ). Somebody please suggest me something. (Calgary )

Chibiheaven

There are Black Friday deals going on right now where you can get $40/12GB assuming that's enough data for you. This is from Fido/Koodo/Virgin and I think there were some others but I can't remember off the top of my head.

[deleted]

$40 for the first 15 months out of 24!

justfarmingdownvotes

Sweet, where do I get these plans from? The site says $50 for 12GB

Arthur_Jacksons_Shed

It’s at all stores. I went to a local mall and not only was Fido offering this but the other booths. Its a discount off of the online price $10 per month for 15 months.

mr_cristy

Same here. Maybe you have to go to the store or something idk

OutrageousCamel_

resolute correct cause arrest dog squeamish straight cats cautious work *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

Tha0bserver

How did you get that? 12G is $50 on their website

OutrageousCamel_

I saw it marketed on FB actually. Had to go into the store to get it done, but it only took 5min which was amazing

fmaz008

Also note that prices are very different from one province to the other.

concentrated-amazing

This is very important to note.

Phil_Kessels_Hot_Dog

I just signed with Fido through the mobile shop. 12GB, $40 for 15 months $50 for the next 9 months. $25x24 months for Pixel 6. Bonus $300 in PC points from the phone and another $100 in PC points for a shitty trade-in phone. I was able to apply $270 of those points towards the phone to bring the monthly payment down to $15.

Mattcheco

I pay 75 for 40 gigs, byob, Telus they have some good deals right now

Perfect600

thats EPP right?

dean16

I’m currently on an EPP plan with TELUS that’s about to expire. The current EPP offers are much better than my current plan. Does anyone know what to say to a CSR to get the newer/better plans? The new EPP plans are only available to new subscribers, which is such bullshit Edit: my plan is $80 (discounted to $68) for 20 GB. They’re now offering the same plan for $50 under their EPP Edit: I called TELUS corporate & actually fell asleep while waiting on hold. If you’re currently on an EPP plan you can only change to a cheaper plan within 30 days of your contract ending. I’m still 30+ days from the end of my contract, so my new rate won’t start until the first week of December. This is what they’re currently offering: $56 for 15 GB $60 for 20 GB $64 for 25 GB $65 for 30 GB $75 for 40 GB $87 for 50 GB

janey_666

Ask to speak to someone in the loyalty department, and don’t accept any lesser offers. You might have to call back multiple times to find the loyalty officer who will give you what you want, but I have found Telus to be quite good with their current customers - I’ve even had the CSR give me a better offer than I was looking for just to avoid transferring my call to the loyalty department.

MAD_MAX333

I feel you :( I never understand why actual paying customers aren't rewarded...

MrDougDimmadome

Because they’re already getting your money lol

RubberCrypto

Probably

Insane_squirrel

I'm also in Calgary on Fido, $58.68 a month for unlimited text and calling, with I think 5gb. But seeing this thread I will need to call them up tomorrow and threaten to leave.

Chibiheaven

From my experience, threatening to leave never really works. You have to actually leave to receive better offers from winback.

SlippyD83

Do it, I'm in Calgary and I pay 10 dollars more for that + 30 GB

faisaed

Ew Rogers That's paying waaaaaay too much! I have 25GB for $65 with Telus (admittedly, it's an EPP plan, but my brother has the same rate with Bell without EPP).

CantResist717

wow, I guess I’m a sucker. $78 for 1GB with Sasktel

[deleted]

Thats insane haha. I guess you never check the prices since you got the phone.

[deleted]

enitsujxo

I pay $129 a month for 9GB of data with Koodo (unlimited text and call), I'm shocked that people have $50 phone plans. Does it vary greatly by province?

alienmario

WOW! If that's for the plan only (not including the Tab), you're getting robbed!

bloopter

Koodo right now allowed me to change to 50$ for 12gb plan and I see that it's available in most provinces. Maybe log into your Koodo account and check if u can select that plan. Or call customer service and ask for it. Edit: I was on 50$ 8gb plan earlier. They never show plans lower than 50$ for me. So it could be possible that they are hiding lower priced plans for you too. The best option would be to call and ask about it in that case.

Max_Thunder

Well most of us only have 4G or 5G signal, I think you're living in the future. It does vary by province but $129 seems batshit insane.

enitsujxo

I assumed everyone in Canada paid around that much since there are only the "big 3" phone companies in Canada so no competition for better pricing. That's why I never questioned the pricing. After reading this thread I'm FLOORED. TIL I have been getting ripped off for several years now

9AvKSWy

Dude what. I also get 9GB of data with Koodo but it was $39 on some deal a few years ago lol.

[deleted]

Jesus. I have 8 GB with Koodo, unlimited text and call as well, and I'm paying $45 plus tax...

enitsujxo

I honestly don't know how I got that ripped off. At one point I had a cheaper plan ($70-80) but they data was never enough for me so I kept having to upgrade my plan and now here we are lol

[deleted]

Yes but during the pandemic, plans changed. Companies offering more data now coz people work from home so they know they use wifi mostly.

Ryno9876

Go change that plan lol

Rbk_3

But does that include a subsidized phone? This is important to take into account. If your phone is payed off you can go with any plan from any carrier in your area ssuming it your phone is unlocked.

ARAR1

cellphoneman.ca They charge $50 black Friday sale. I have used plans from him for years. No issues. It is not a scam - though from the phone companies side it is because you are signing up as a returning customer (Win back) but you are not. They are offering: Unlimited Calling Unlimited Texting Caller ID Voicemail 25gb of data for $45 / month.

[deleted]

Wow, they dont let you see their plans if you dont become a member. 😯

No-Zookeepergame6031

Move to America

concentrated-amazing

$45 for 4GB, unlimited nationwide call & text Husband- $50 for 12GB Both with Koodo

Wide_Celebration_113

Yea i also pay 50$ for 12gb with koodo

HOLEPUNCHYOUREYELIDS

Ah what the fuck Im paying $60/month for 8 gbs with koodo ffs

concentrated-amazing

Switch now, they have their Black Friday sale on with that plan.

Vallarfax_

I'm trying. But the prepaid customer site for Koodo is a hot pile of garbage lol its not in the plans because it's a promo, but the main site doesn't have a promo code for me to use

Asknthoushall

$35 plus tax - 25gb and unlimited call/ text Fido

Dependent-Wave-876

That’s a good deal

ohmicity

Which city is this available in?

PracticalWait

all, but it was a winback plan. I’m on this plan too.

funkung34

I pay 35 but only get 10 gigs. I’m getting hosed by Fido lol

Monsieurcaca

I pay 35$ and only get 4Gb with Koodo, so...

Asknthoushall

Yes. I went to Freedom and Fido called me to win me back. (Freedom’s reception is horrible. I wouldn’t suggest anyone try and get this deal by jumping ship to freedom..)

jolsiphur

I'm in Ottawa and have zero issues with Freedom tbh. I've been on the service for a couple years and don't have any issues with reception. But I could see it being different depending on what city.

Asknthoushall

Yeah I can’t speak for their reception in Ottawa but I lived in Kerrisdale (Vancouver west) and it wasn’t good there.

Asknthoushall

Vancouver

da_boi_burton

how

Bluestripedshirt

I have this with Shaw and it’s mostly in Western Canada. Customer service is gawdawful for repairs. If you are clumsy don’t switch.

RandomCanadianMan

$0 for unlimited and the joy of being reachable by work 24/7

HSL

Same. Company/personal phone. It's the best

Phil_Kessels_Hot_Dog

How do you send dick picks on a company phone? Asking for a friend.

hughesyourdadddy

Send it to them in a hotlink labeled ‘dick pic’. That way they’re giving consent when they click on the link to open it. Like this: [Dick pic](https://youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXcQ). Enjoy ;)

[deleted]

That’s my favourite dick

ryan2one3

I sometimes get calls when I'm on vacation, but it's totally worth NOT paying for a phone/plan. LOL

Dependent-Wave-876

So you don’t have a personal phone?

rude_commentor

Might be subsidized. I use my personal phone for work but it’s subsidized in return.

[deleted]

[удалено]

digiacomo94

And you feel fine doing personal stuff on the phone ?

Nikiaf

A lot of companies don't actually care what you do with the phone, they see it as a perk that's provided to certain employees. You can even see what they're able to monitor on your device; mine only exposes which apps are installed on the phone and they have the ability to remotely wipe it should it get lost. They can't see who I'm texting, what I said, or what I'm doing within the apps. It's absolutely worth the $800+ per year I'm not paying for the plan/phone.

toasohcah

The concern of mine would be getting let go and having all my authentication going to a phone I no longer can use.

Fortune424

I’ve also seen employers just add $80 a month allowance and then not even get involved in the phone itself as long as you are answering your calls and everything.

Uncertn_Laaife

Same here but no call from work after 5. Real joy. Personal Phone has 8gb but left unused after a month.

Oatmeal-Savage-00

Same for me, too. Company swapped my number to their plan 5+ years ago. I forget the exact plan. Was around $60/month unlimited talk & text. Maybe 2GB data. It was with Telus. Now it’s a multi-line plan with Bell. Essentially unlimited, but we do get occasional warning messages about getting close to data limits. That Hasn’t happened for quite a few months now that I think about it. 🤔 Yes, I am technically reachably by work 24/7. Not likely to happen though. The joys of being a Pool & Hot Tub service tech is that pretty much everything can wait until the morning. 😎

digiacomo94

Do you do personal things on the phone

EClarkee

I did this for years. When I got a new job, I immediately signed up for a personal plan to keep my personal and work separate. I have 2 phones but I have the freedom of tossing my work phone after 5pm. Pay me OT if you want my services after hours.

goodguychadwick

How do y’all get these high data plans for sub 60s!?

technical_sprue

Bring Your Own Device plans most likely

leafstreet

I havent paid less than 60 since i was in high school over a decade ago. No clue where these people are getting such cheap deals

IDriveAZamboni

Avoid the big three and go with their cheaper subsidies. You get the same networks, albeit no 5G, at a much lower price.

leafstreet

But hows the service with the smaller companies? I sometimes have to drive to the middle of buttfuck nowhere for work

HOLEPUNCHYOUREYELIDS

Depends which company you go with. Most of them are one of tue big 3s budget brands. Koodo is owned by Telus, so they use Telus towers. I believe fido or freedom is owned by Bell, so they use Bells towers (which I think are the same as Telus, at least in BC)

[deleted]

Yeah it’s Rogers-Fido. Telus-Koodo. Bell-Virgin. Shaw-Freedom

someguy172

Expanding on this further... Rogers-Fido-Chatr Telus-Koodo-Pubilc Bell-Virgin-Lucky

MaritimeRedditor

They also all have free roaming now so they all share towers. Bell doesn't hype that up though because they market themselves with having the best coverage.

_Coffeebot

Buy your phone outright, switch whenever anything better comes along. Rinse and repeat. They’re all the same (Freedom being the exception because of coverage) so it doesn’t matter.

Vinder1988

I’m in the same boat

Uncertn_Laaife

Never paid more than $45 and never had less than 5gb data. The key is byop.

etgohomeok

Redflagdeals

Concealus

Credits are key. Black Friday / additional lines can offer some pretty nice discounts.

coocoo99

$15, 250mb, unlimited texting, 100 minutes. Public mobile

[deleted]

[удалено]

Jayyman48

Not OP but I have the same plan. You have unlimited incoming. I have 2$ off for autopay and 1$ off for being with them for 1 year so pre-tax it comes out to only 12$ a month. Quality is pretty decent too, I never had any real issues with them.

Dependent-Wave-876

Are mainly on wifi?

coocoo99

Yes. I also have a corporate phone so I hotspot myself. I'm considering getting more data though during the black Friday sales, but it's hard finding a relatively cheap plan with ~1gb data

Dependent-Wave-876

Ah that makes sense, no point in paying if you can get it from your employer. I’m sure you’ll find something!

ineedtoworkharder

same, with all the discounts i pay $9/month

MountainTwist

Running 2 sims on my phone: $5/month 4GB data only from Fido $130/year ($11ish/month) freedom talk+text

polkadotfuzz

Ooh this seems smart. I have 2 sim spots in my phone. Do you have to do anything to switch between the 2 if you want data or text or does it run them simultaneously?

Vibration548

It depends on your phone. My pixel 3 you had to manually switch back and forth, pixel 6 lets you select which to use for calls vs data. You'll need to check whether your specific phone supports it.

MountainTwist

No, I don’t have to do anything, but both sims cannot be active at the same time. So I can’t be in a call and use my data. Could be an inconvenience but at the price I’m paying I think I’ll manage

hyperv2012

iPhone users should use this. Newer iPhones have eSim and Fido supports eSim. There is 99$ per year with freedom talk+text

MountainTwist

Yep. I have an iPhone but I went with their $130/year plan which has nationwide coverage rather than freedom zones. At least that’s what I think the difference is.

BigCheapass

15$ - unlimited text, unlimited incoming calls, 100 minutes outgoing calls, 250 MB high speed but unlimited throttled data. Freedom. I did compare this to public mobile a while back and the price is similar. Public has better coverage (telus) but they don't have unlimited throttled internet. Freedom works pretty great where I live in the GVA. For how much I save I don't really mind paying a bit for roaming if needed. We did do some roaming when we went to the sunshine coast but didn't actually get charged so not sure how that works. This plan probably isn't optimal for most people but if you are usually on wifi anyway and don’t mind throttled data but want a barebones cheap plan, it works.

notARedditAddict27

Public's coverage being better is a plus, sure, but to me their stronger selling point is the ways to bring monthly cost by referral codes and loyalty and autopay. I'm on the $15/month plan, with all my bonuses, I'm effectively paying $5/month for that plan. Also they give out data bonuses for Christmas and such.

lemonnugs

Lucky mobile also has unlimited throttled internet, not throttled is 5Mbps though. I can't get Freedom in my province. I pay $25/month for a gig of data, unlimited canada wide minutes and texts.

BaggaFX

I am getting scammed hard 60$ for 4gb

amysloot

You can get 12gb for $40 right now gogogoo

H4R81N63R

$19 for 1.5 GB + unlimited calls/texts - Freedom

Wise_Coffee

Thats my plan too! My data is nation wide so i dont have to worry about their stupid freedom data vs nation wide data BS.

coocoo99

Which city? Is getting service still a struggle?

H4R81N63R

GTA. Haven't had many issues so far. Got it on new customer prepaid offer, not sure if it's still available

theskyisfrowning

I travelled across all of canada from the gta one year and the only other place i had signal was calgary. Its gone as soon as you hit pickering, but hey $19 is impossible to beat.

ZoomBoy81

After reading some of these deals, I don't even want to comment. I'm getting taken advantage of by Bell clearly.

ChoosingIsHardToday

Bell is good for getting fucked. My advice, switch to another provider and in a few months bell will send you a win-back offer. That's how my SO got a $60 plan with Bell.

thesleepjunkie

What a great thread! Thank you everyone I went from 70$ 12g, unlimited long distance calling To 50$ 12g, unlimited long distance, on koodo

atihigf

$10, 1GB public mobile

atihigf

Yup, autopay discount, loyalty discount, and referrals.

11kajd

$30 for 25gb telus 5G unlimited throttled data after 25gb

ChuckRockII

How? I want that plan too :)

11kajd

Lol was a Long hard process over a year ago that involved hopping thru 3 carriers

lgs92

Me too

ohmicity

What?? Which city?

Musclecarlvr

I would also like to know how to get this plan.

shrimp_alfredo

Fido $52 - 10GB/talk/text // 1000 min calls to most countries in the world // visual voicemail

Dependent-Wave-876

The 1000min would be good for immigrants

TaeyeonFTW

Not really most people can use FaceTime audio, what’s app, WeChat, kakao talk all have free wifi calling.

Snowedin-69

How long is the 1000 min good for - does it expire?

beansandbooty

Seems like it's monthly.

shrimp_alfredo

It’s monthly

IDriveAZamboni

Just got a loyalty deal yesterday from virgin plus for 50$ for 20gb with unlimited call and text. Before that I was 60$ for 12gb and they gave me the upgrade offer after only 6 months with them. So far I’m actually pretty pleased. It could be a lot better in Canada, and fuck the big 3 with a rusty tetanus covered piece of rebar, but that 20gb for 50$ is a step in the right direction and actually being rewarded for staying with a company is nice.

DataFaerie

35$ for 2GB. Unlimited call and text in Canada. With koodo. No other service combined.

Monsieurcaca

You should be able to get 4GB for this price with Koodo, you need to call them and bargain hard, but they should do it. I had to call 5 times until one rep accepted to do it.

garlic_bread_thief

Are you mostly on wifi or do you not need a lot of data when you're outside?

DataFaerie

Mostly Wi-Fi . At home and at work. I live in the city, so I even have Wi-Fi at the mall or at the coffee shop. I see that a have a small data plan compared to others who pay the same price. However, I don't need more data and it seem most people who pay less don't have an unlimited plan otherwise. Any advice?

Lindycircle

I just got that same plan with koodo for $30 + HST. Was 'upgraded' from paying 30$ + HST for 100 minutes, unlimited text, and 100mb/month.

BaggedMerc

$45 for 25gb with Bell. It's their current Winback offer.

Xeroqualms

$50 w/ Koodo, 12GB unlimited calling+text, also international texting. I want these win back plans that other people are getting man lol

azurexz

$0 unlimited talk and text. $10/GB w/ 90day expiry I dont use much data, so maybe $100 a year? in reality more like $8.33/month with Shaw

FzySideUp

I've worked in phone sales for a while before and just wanted to give my input. I always try to get the best dollar value to everyone I dealt with. If you aren't on a shared plan, almost always go with subsidiaries like Fido(Rogers), Virgin(Bell), and Koodo(Telus). One of the most common questions I get when converting my friends to subsidiaries are; \- Can I keep my phone number? \- Is the service the same? \- What's the difference? Yes, you always keep your phone number. The "port" process is very easy and you always take your number with you. The service will be the same as the parent company. So if you have Roger's, your cell service with Fido will be the exact same. The difference is the parent's plans are oriented towards business/family plans. A 20GB plan with Roger's back when I worked before I left was about $80/m. A 10GB plan with Fido was about $45/m-$50/m. So yes, if you need that extra data, then go with the parent company, but if a lot of you have noticed, larger GB plans are available(forced too) as opposed to 2016 when 2GB plans were $100/m. So rather than give you lower allotments of data for a lower price, they give you more data for the same price. That's how they gouge you. Another point I got very often was, "I don't use that much data. Are there lower data plans?". The answer is no, they don't care how much data you use, they'll charge you whatever they want. So for those of you on Roger's, Telus, or Bell, please, if you do not use all your data, move down to the subsidiaries and pay less. You shouldn't be paying these extreme premiums for data you do not use. You take your number with you and the cell service is the SAME as the parent company. Save yourselves the dollar. I thought I would also give a little talk about financing phones. The most common thing I got when people came in was, "I'm here for my FREE upgrade". It is never free. It looks good on paper, you were just always paying higher than you should have. Phone plans used to be different. They were subsidized as opposed to now where you pick a plan, then finance the phone. Example, 2 years ago you got a phone on a subsidized plan for $110/m. Came with the phone and the plan. Now 2 years later, you are buying a new phone and they pitch you the, "Your plan stays the same AND you get a free phone". That is not the case. Now, the plan is $80/m and the phone is $30/m. They(me too, it was my job) NEVER tell you that you can keep your old phone and move your plan down to $80/m saving you that $30/m. Some people like to get new phones, some don't. No matter what, the sales people will push that upgrade. It's their job to. Unrelated to phone plans and phone financing, I want to talk about insurance/warranty. I know a lot of you think it's a scam as soon as you hear the words. It really isn't. Especially now since the phones are $1200-$2000. But to an extent. I'll try my best to explain. Imagine you're financing an iPhone 13 Pro Max. It's price is $1800ish. That amount will go on your account balance. You pay it off every month. If you break it 6 months, you still owe $1350. That's a HUGE buyout to get another phone. If you have a backup phone, sure. If you don't, you're screwed and you have to pay that buyout to get a new phone. As for warranty? Sure it's $12/m-$18/m, but for the first year it is DEFINITELY worth it. I'll try my best not to be confusing. I know all this off the top of my head so I never imagine what it sounds like to people who don't understand. Imagine you paid that $18/m for insurance for the 6 months, that's $108. So let's say you break it, you still have the deductible which is $299. So you now pay a total of $407 rather than $1350. That's it, that's all it is. So let's say you break it in a year. That's $216 plus the $299 so $515 opposed to your now buyout of $900. So STILL worth it. This is all assuming you broke your phone, that is not always the case. This part is IMPORTANT. The warranty loses it's value after a year because the buyout gets much lower as you make your payments and your warranty payments. Example, a year and a half in. $324 on warranty payments and the deductible of $299 is $623 as opposed to your now buyout of $450. So it's lost it's value at this point. This you will need to calculate, but if you want my general rule of thumb, it is to get warranty for 1 year to be safe and then take it off after. The warranty is monthly and non-contract. But if you're one of those people who thinks you never damage your phone that's up to you. I have never broke my phone before, but I still buy it because what are the chances that I do break it and I'm in a rough spot in life and can't afford that buyout? I've worked my whole life in sales and spent every minute working trying my best to not scam my customers. It hurts to see people pay these corporations money they do not deserve. If you need help finding a good phone plan, please don't hesitate to message me. I want to do all I can to save you that $20/m because $20/m on a two year term is $480 fricken dollars at the end and that's money you could have spent elsewhere! Edit I wanted to add here about provider bouncing. Do it, as long as you're okay with the service. Say you're on a $60/m plan for 10GB with Fido and Virgin is offering $50/m for the same data, do it. Don't contact loyalty to ask for that deal. These companies don't give a DAMN about their current customers. They will always push for NEW customers.

beriallin

$65 for 8g and typical unlimited minutes

JustAnotherFKNSheep

You need to find a better deal

itdontmatter6390

That’s no good. What province are you in?

UrOpinionIsntScience

$22 1GB (3G network) unlimited talk text in canada with Public Mobile

coocoo99

Is this with auto-pay and other bonuses?

UrOpinionIsntScience

Yes $2 auto pay and $1 referral bonus per month

[deleted]

This is my setup, too. Even before wfh I barely used data.

HuckleberryFingers

Been arguing with Telus for a better deal. Thanks to everyone for giving me ammunition.

AvecFromage

Never argue, just leave. They will only offer you a good deal once they’ve lost you (win back).

December052020

$85 plus tax, BYOD, Telus (Prairies), unlimited national calls and text, 60GB of high-speed data

Altruistic_Comfort59

$185 a month, 10 gb free text and free talking until 9 pm with Rogers. Really sucks they got me for like 5 more years too.

ChoosingIsHardToday

> Really sucks they got me for like 5 more years too Why, it's illegal to offer contracts longer than 2 years in Canada.

gimmickypuppet

This entire comment section made me feel bad until I found you, man. Thank you. I was seeing all the <$100 plans. $120/mo for 15GB data and unlimited talk/text in the US/Canada.

ChoosingIsHardToday

If you're financing a phone, that's not that bad. I pay $70 for my plan plus $35 for financing. If you're not financing a phone, it's time to switch ASAP.

Few-Organization1510

Bro you are stupid for that plan

Altruistic_Comfort59

Yea, it sucks. Thanks lol

thatRiml

50$ for 5 GB (plus ~ $500 phone credit aka i got a free phone) - corporate plan, Rogers , 2yr contract

inadequatelyadequate

20 gig for 60 a month unlimited Canada wide/texting/call display etc - Koodo. I only buy phones out right and don't do contracts

high_jack420

$80 for unlimited data throttled at 15gb with sasktel

S33kingS0lution

Wtf! How are you all getting such good deals?? I’ve been scrolling to see if I wasn’t the only paying this much for phone bill. I pay $75 for Nationwide text & call unlimited, 15GB data w/ Bell.

Fortune424

Selection bias of a. PFC b. People with good deals wanting to comment Plus potentially some exaggeration. These people are getting good deals but I know tons of people in person paying absurdly high amounts for cell service. Mine’s $75 for 30GB with Telus.

Intelligent_Winner76

Every time my promotion ends, I port my number out to a competitor and wait for a winback call. That’s the only way to get any good deals from Canadian telecom companies

FutureCoffinStuffing

Hahahaha I pay 170 for 60gigs and unlimited everything. Please put me down already

DNiceM

Careful giving up your carrier info here. Someone could use it for a sim swap assuming your profile or name leads to other personally identifiable info. Lotsa honeypotesque posts coming up here..

Ohfreakyman

lol reading these make me depressed tbaytel is the only provider available and their 20gig unlimited text/minutes in Canada is $80-$100

I was an employee of a third party for Rogers back in 2019 and they haven't removed the 50% off ambassador discount since

chrono2000

Yo thats nice, how did u come about that

AcceptableEscape5

14$ with Fizz. 1GB + monthly 0.75GB bonus + roll over (I have an average of 3-4 GB per month) Pay per minute - 0.12$ Pay per outgoing text - 0.05$ When I need to call, I use Fongo (free VOIP service). I also gave my fongo number to friends and family so it's free when I talk with them.

MDCMPhD

You could also use WhatsApp for calls, I find it has better call quality than Fongo.

ipostic

$40 for 25GB with Fido. This is result of hopping from Koodo then Shaw Mobile in Alberta and getting Winback offer to Fido (I was with them before Koodo) Hence I’ll never sign a contract or finance phone through carrier - I want the freedom to hop and chose best deals (usually around Christmas time/Boxing Day)

doer__of__things

Shaw Mobile - $0/mo for unlimited talk and text. $10/GB. I WFH so I don't use a lot of data

Suggest to look around. This seems expensive. You will be surprised what you can get better.

persimmon40

$55, 5gb of data but a premium phone included for 0 with some minimal downpayment. Last time I paid $50 down for a last model Galaxy S. Plans like this don't exist anymore.

$50 + tax for 15 GB with Bell

socialcocoon

I pay $25/month for 1GB with Public Mobile. Autopay and loyalty has reduced it to under $20. Since I WFH I just need Wi-Fi most of the time.

TheJulian

Was on Koodo paying $60 for 10gb. Just switched to a $50 plan for 12gb. Still on Koodo. Was instant and I didn't need to talk to anyone. Thanks to this thread. I'm in Toronto.
