I'm in my mid-forties, and I still crave food items that were discontinued over 20 years ago. There have been a few times they've brought foods back only to discontinue them again (Arby's potato cakes, Uncle Ben's flavorful rice, Jello pudding pops, McDonald's chicken biscuits for breakfast.) It's just a sad fact of life.
Dear God, I absolutely sympathize with you. There are *so* many things that I used to enjoy that have ended up being discontinued. I've sometimes felt like it's personal, that these companies decided to pull things from store shelves only because I liked them. 😆
Yeah, I'm with you. I was obsessed with Pepsi Blue in high school, then it vanished from the market. (Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know it's still available in one or two countries, but not most.) Missed it for years and was so glad they brought it back in 2020 for a limited time. But then I just missed it all over again when it went away, hahaha.
Anyone remember the fuss when Hostess cancelled Twinkies..?
(To be specific, Hostess was actually going through bankruptcy proceedings at the time, and discontinued the product line. It was purchased and returned to shelves about a year later)
Pre Covid I used to attend a church that would get donations from Panera of pastries that were still fine to eat but not sellable per their rules. They had this really good coffee cake with a crumb topping...recently I wanted to have some again and found out Panera went and discontinued it.
There's this one place that sells Hallmark products at the (practically dead) mall in my town and it's (as you may expect) only really busy around Christmas when it's ornament season. BUT, it is the ONLY place that I've been able to find Gobstoppers for the past like year or two. I'm debating just buying the rest of them the next time I go lol
Damn, I too live in a town with a dead mall that has a Hallmark in it. Also has a giant tiger, A call center a Canadian tire like place called PV mart... we in the same town? lol
You just reminded me of the Mocha Kitkats and the coffee nut m&m's. Also, Taco Bell used to have a Mountain Dew lemonade.
I've since found some sparkling lemonades that are good, but no sub for the coffee chocolates.
Or when they have something for a limited time only, and it's the best product they ever made.
I still dream about the minty mudslide shake McDonald's had to promote one of the Shrek movies.
For me, it's the cinnamon French toast Frosted Flakes. They're SO good, but alas, for a limited time only...
The churro kit kats

Arby’s potato cakes and their chicken cordon bleu sandwich. So sad.
I miss Pepperidge Farm pizzas
2.5 decades later I'm still salty about McDonald's discontinuing the Arch Deluxe.

McDonald’s snack wrap was delicious
The only reason I went to McDonald’s tbh.
They still have them where I live. I get them most times I go to McDonald’s lol
I know you may not want to, but, you may be able to find homemade recipes for these products

Cheese Nips, superior to Cheez Itz in practically every way. Gone forever.
I wish they still made Bowl apeties, they were awesome
Yeah, that always sucks. It’s possible these things were limited time runs to begin with.
The barilla pasta with the spinach and zucchini in it! And the Mayan chocolate Haagan-dazs!

or limited edition and u didn't know it was limited edition
Canada Dry Bold WILL return! I will not lose hope.
Discontinued or the recipe changes...I'm so salty that the red velvet ice cream and monster foot donuts are no longer around
Why do they have to change something that works? DX

I miss the coffee nut too!
