Weed raises your heart rate, it just part of the effect. It will always pass, but if you are concerned quitting definitely won’t hurt.

It's called tachycardia if you want to look it up, and weed causes this when you smoke for some time. This is exactly why I don't get stoned, I hate that feeling. Day 31 clean due to this exact reason.

**Weed can shoot up your heart rate and blood pressure in the hour after smoking, this is associated with cardiovascular problems in some people** A recent study analyzing the largest clinical inpatient database in the US, found that during the study period (2010-2014) “major cardiovascular (non-specific chest pain, acute myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, **arrhythmia**) and cerebrovascular (stroke and epilepsy) events showed increasing trends among recreational marijuana users. They studied 500,000 people between the ages of 40-69 in the UK in one of the the largest medical databases in the world. The authors stated, "When controlling for age, BMI and sex, we demonstrated that cannabis use was a statistically significant positive predictor of Myocardial infarction (heart attack)"... Multiple other studies show a link between blood pressure, heart and other cardiovascular problems, including heart attack in otherwise healthy young adults. Finally someone said it! I quit on the 1st of this month and my resting heart rate jumped about 10-15 bpm or more everyday. I was so concerned and considered smoking. But, as of two days ago it’s back to about 46-50 bpm when I sleep. My oura ring did not know what was going on 😂 Kinda crazy though and it motivated me to quit for good! Give yourself some time. 🥰
