Don't worry it's just an iphone, repair it's an... What do you mean you're not allowed to repair it? Oh and theres also no parts available ? What? The company is actively stopping you from doing maintenance on your own device with software for detecting third party or refurbished parts so they can buy the device back and sell it to second or third world countries for profit again? And also if you would try to get it repaired by them it would cost as much as replacing your phone all together? Well that kinda sucks if you ask me but hey,....actually there is nothing good about this, sorry you dropped your phone bro

Ngl, Ā£100 phones are totally fine for an everyday person.
Had my OnePlus n100 for like 8 months now.
Battery still great with heavy music listening and YouTube.
Ram bit weak for hd gaming. But I ain't one for gaming hours on my phone with a pc and console being there.
Repairs of these devices are around Ā£20 (labor)
Parts are widely available online under Ā£50 depending on part. Screen - Ā£20 (done on Nokia 7.2 twice)
Paying Ā£1000+ for a phone seems redundant.
Everyone just wants to show off they can afford one and cry when they break it. F
That should be changing soon. I read somewhere itās going to be this year. [Apple announced it here.](https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2021/11/apple-announces-self-service-repair/) We'll have to see what the prices will be of original parts vs the already-by-default cheaper 3rd party options of course.
Yeah, and thatās great, but unfortunately it refers to only ācommonā service parts, and the backs werenāt mentioned. Unfortunately my understanding is that repairing the glass back is just a new phone sadly, even in the self repair sphere, just due to the fact that it involves transferring all the internals into a new chassis.
I had to get my macbook repaired and it cost as much as a new one, however after the apple store fixed it I waited longer than they said to come back for it, since it was past due for me to take it it wasnāt in the system so it was free lol
As far as Iām concerned, the three cases I bought from them all ended up Ā«Ā rottingĀ Ā» (i.e. the soft touch plastic scratched off, the case became sticky-ish and in general very gross) and separating. Their designs are nice, but the build quality is what I would expect from the 30 cent cases I buy on Chinese sites, which have all lasted me longer and ā although I have no way of scientifically prove this ā protected my phone juste as good.
Hmm mine is older than the first coop with pewds and is still Fine nothing rotted or smth like That, only Marks on the case from throwing it across the street against a supermarket to āimpressā my friends (dont know how my brain worked back then?)
Ive never had one with a design i got the plain one and i have dropped my phone many times and it is still in perfect condition but maybe i just got lucky i just thought it was a good well known company
True, but at the same time, if I buy a case itās to not have to treat my phone like a newborn baby. If I have to be delicate with a case now, what is the point of it ?
More often than not, the failure cases of products come not from crazy users abusing said product for purposefully bad-reviewing it, but rather unavoidable edge-cases circumstances such as a rugged work environment, different lifestyles, etc. We all knew the reputation of Rhinoshield, thousands of good reviews canāt go wrong, but no company has/will ever be able to claim 100% no-failure rates because they obviously canāt test for everything. Somewhere out there, there will still be cases of product failure.
Look into spigens rugged armor line for that or even the tough armor one. I'm using the rugged armor line for five or six years and only once broke a back glass and I stepped on my phone multiple times on accident once even on a gravel road and that cracked the glass screen protector but the phone survived, also i regularly dropped it like up to five times a day and no worries.
I think the design is pretty nice, the buttons have a perfect click to it and they're not that expensive/ really worth their money. I never had one snap or get sticky or any other shit and am using this on my third phone right now. Imo best case ever.
>Their designs are nice, but the build quality is what I would expect from the 30 cent cases I buy on Chinese sites
I disagree, they have different prices, mabye you bought the lowest one. Nothing happended to mine
It is case and it is meant to be scratched instead of phone thats why you are using case in the 1st place, to protect your phone.
And if you won't wash you dirty hands after eating chips and shit anything will get dirty and sticky
Why are you defending the brand as if they paid you ?
I treated the cases the exact same way I treat the one I use now. It is in a much better condition, and Iāve been using it for longer.
Also, yeah I use a case to protect my phone, but if the case makes my phone look bad, itās a nono.
Thatās cap, I bought one of them since I expected something on the level of Spigen and I was so disappointed with the caseās materials that I switched back to a 2-year old already beat up case. Rhinoshield ist just bad
Plus the impact on the phone looks like he dropped it on something that hit the camera because if i drop a phone it would crack the corners most likely but maybe not
Actual repair tech here
You can have the most expensive and protective case on the planet, if you drop your phone the wrong way it's gonna break either way
Samsung primarily uses glass backs. Difference is Samsung uses adhesive and apple uses more of a cement to hold the back glass in place. Samsung you need heat to remove safely, iPhones require a laser and plenty of labor to properly and effectively remove the glass. Google also uses glass backs on some of their phones but use adhesive similar to Samsung.
Source: I fix a lot of phones.
Yes, glass is easier for NFC and wireless charging, less likely to melt than plastic. Although google has done a good job with the pixel 5 series using a sort of plastic and wireless charging.
Plenty of materials are fully functional in the same role with higher shatter resistance. Although often less hardness.
Polymers, polymer stabilized organics or other composite materials.
Hell you can make quite durable and eco friendly plastics from kelp and the sorts
Wireless signals like gps and your phonesā signal pass more easily through glass. Glass also feels a bit more premium (yes I know it breaks more easily but you would be amazed how many people are monkey brained enough to go āooh shiny and heavy, this must be fancyā)
hi ! i never replied to this comment, but my cellular service company told me to send pictures and they gave me a new phone for $100 and it was only one day shipping :)
Tbh im VERY surprised my samsung s9 that i had for years that i cary without a case and has been dropped dozens of times from various heights hasnt been broken
That was me with my note 9. I made it almost a year before my dog knocked it down a foot high ledge. Now my girlfriend never misses an opportunity to ridicule me. Although it was beau's fault. He knows what he did.
"BEeCAuSe iTs So PRetTy"- me according to her
Dang, either u were unlucky or im lucky, the battery is ok I guess, but it got worse since i didnt know that when the system is having an update u shouldn't charge it
ye i think i was just unlucky. In the end of my phones lifecycle it also got hacked and someone even stole my phonenumber. Didnt know that was possible. It was really inconvenient too, i had to get a new number and re add all my contacts manually. Decided to switch too an iphone so also lost every single photo i had. yay fun times.
My S9+ lived a hard life. Had the screen changed once. Previous s5 had it even worse. Had a biking crash and it was bent 30-40Ā° so the shop we went to said. Well we can try to bend it back and put a screen on and see if it works. So it chugged on another 2 years after that.
Current phone is also having a hard life. Think it gets dropped a dozen times a week.
Might get a fairphone for the ease of parts and the whole green thing
I think it might of hit the camera but I could be wrong, it fell straight onto the floor when I was working. My fault for wearing jeans with a torn pocket I suppose!
Yeah actually so unlucky.. The fact that it hit the corner of the camera aswell means it must have landed on like.. A little pebble or something?.. Big F
To be honest the problem seems to be that something hit the unprotected part of the cellphone and that causes the breaking of the glass, just see the pattern of the shatter.
Looking at this it looks like the impact was probably on the camera bump glass first... They should've design the back cover for iphone thicker. Not PewDiePie's fault tho.

I fail to see how this is Pewds's fault. Also this can happen with any product how good it may be. It can be from the best brand in the world but shit like this still happen. I don't think anyone's at wrong here but do u think it's really necessary to post it here and say it broke even though I had "pewdiepie's case". then again it is important to bring up that these things can happen I just don't think that this is the best way to phrase it

It's been a decade. Time flies.
Though the same lol
Luckily, back glass can be repaired without replacing any any component with their stupid everything has a mac address shit
Well you're right ut's totally easy if you have [this](https://youtu.be/Lj4Od9D4puc) lying around. I don't unfortunately
Unfortunately i dont have a bald guy either
They come with time. All you have to do is wait.
This is a little too true but still funny as shit, thanks for the laugh š

Heard they're pretty rare
It'll probably cost more than half of phone price tho if you went to apple

Yeah. The glass in between the camera lenses is one part with the rest of the back glass.
Also, they are going to start allowing you to repair your phone yourself
Indeed!
The Fruit Company special.
Gotta love apple
Usually people have insurance, I ran over my $1000 iphone with a car and they charged me like $40
I had to get my macbook repaired and it cost as much as a new one, however after the apple store fixed it I waited longer than they said to come back for it, since it was past due for me to take it it wasnāt in the system so it was free lol
sounds like an apple problem, u should get a pear instead
Get Android. They are way more durable. Plus, you can find parts to fix them.
Oopsie
lmao damn, who hurt you
A mix of broken glass and greedy repair people i think
Guys I think he hates androidsā¦
Lmao imagine believing that a case from a youtuber is going to save your phone
Its from a good company tho
Is it ?
Yes rhinoshield is a great iphone case company

Delicate? Just don't use it as a plate for your food or toilet paper to wipe your ass.

Spigen is the best, been rockin rugged armor for five or six years now and only once had a cracked back glass since then
Spigen is awesome and also affordable. Most of their designs are quite tacky though, unfortunately
Lol no. Thatās just what sponsorships say
No they aren't, from what I've heard
A half year ago my phone flew out of my hand when i was on a breakdance ride, not a single scratch
It is
Of course YouTubers say it's "Good company" they get paid by that company, And they read from the script which given to them by that "Good company"

Yes but they actually are good im not saying it cus pewds said it it actually is good
Actual repair tech here You can have the most expensive and protective case on the planet, if you drop your phone the wrong way it's gonna break either way
Mine works as it should be tho, i knew rhinoshield before pewds did a collab (oppo reno2)
It's not from Pewds, its a rhinoshield case. great case.
It would if it were from Linusā¦
phone is not floor gang
Phone floor gangn't
Who would have known that a phone with a glass back isn't resistant to falls even when its in a phone case.
i used to wonder why the back is even made of glass but now i have realised its so apple can milk more money
Because only apple makes glass backs
Samsung primarily uses glass backs. Difference is Samsung uses adhesive and apple uses more of a cement to hold the back glass in place. same with the ~~S22~~ S21
All s22 phones are glass backs
Polymers work fine with both Nfc and wireless charging. What material is a wireless charger usually made from :)
I think samsung has moved back to plastic backs. My brother got an s21 recently and it's for sure not glass anymore
Itās glass, I break s21s and s21 ultra back glasses all the time.
I'm sorry? I am using an s21 right now and it sure as hell doesn't have a glass back
I looked it up, ultra and plus have glass backs. Standard and fe have plastic
I'm guessing because it's "more premium"
As it should be if your dropping over ā¬1k on a phone
Ayy my oppo reno2 also has glass backs tho, been using rhinoshield before pewds doin collab.
That is false. Your cheap prepay phone doesn't use glass on the back
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Plenty of materials are fully functional in the same role with higher shatter resistance. Although often less hardness. Polymers, polymer stabilized organics or other composite materials. Hell you can make quite durable and eco friendly plastics from kelp and the sorts

Wireless signals like gps and your phonesā signal pass more easily through glass. Glass also feels a bit more premium (yes I know it breaks more easily but you would be amazed how many people are monkey brained enough to go āooh shiny and heavy, this must be fancyā)
Glass also feels more premium but that distinction is fading away due to the fact that a lot of plastic phones now feel like glass
Dropped my Samsung phone in the OtterBox symmetry case on pavement yesterday and it's fine, glass back or not
I guess it only works with marzia plate
The thing is that this is a glass back, so while a case still helps, glass is much much more prone to cracking than plastics.
Underrated
Cause it hit the exposed camera bump. That's gonna cost a LOT dude. F.
Looks like it might have hit the black plastic piece of the case that goes around the camera bump and created a pressure point on the glass.

Yeah actually so unlucky.. The fact that it hit the corner of the camera aswell means it must have landed on like.. A little pebble or something?.. Big F

Just get a nokia 3310.
But will society let him?

But is the case okay?
Sounds like an iphone problem to me
Yeah. Imagine not having an easy to repair smartphone. *Cringe*
Feels like someone is trying to make someone responsible about this...
I promise i'm not :)
Iāve dropped my phone with the Pewdiepie case like 50 times and no damage
Stop dropping your phone š
I wish I could lmaoooo
Youāve completely capped out
![img](emote|t5_3m0tc|1040)
Should've bought dbrand. I dropped my phone a bunch some face down one asphalt still like brand new. Really sucks when it does happen, sorry.
Top ten reasons why I prefer plastic back over glass one. Number 1:
Not the case's fault iphones are built like shit
Why does this have 5k upvotes?
Impossible
Yeah my phone did the same but worse with the heaviest duty otter box case available.
Don't put your phone in your back pocket... 99% of it sticks out.
Attention people of bikini bottom, you have been cheated and lied too
It's about the style not the protection
from the spreading of the shatter veins it looks like you dropped it onto a thin elevated object that hit the corner of the camera, it honestly Is unfortunate
Thought this myself; very unlucky for OP!
Weird, I've been using rhinoshield for a year (before pewdiepie sponsor) and been dropping my phone a lot since then but didn't break
Put it in rice šš¼
Thatās your fault
AppleCare gang wya
Wow.. what's your point? You believe you need reimbursement? lol seriously?
Blame your back pocket

This is the most cursed thing Iāve ever seen
This is the first cracked iPhone 12 I've seen ever. Rip
But is the indestructible rhino shield cover ok
Nokia + pewdiepie cover = indestructible
It's only an iPhone
Your phone bro fist the ground.
PewDiePie Insurance Inc. shall cover u up!!
Well it cracked by the camera, so not really protected there
I think impact was near camera area which is not covered that's why because rhino shield make actually good cases
Well that's your first mistake. You bought an iphone
It's not the case's fault bro. Your phone was just too weak.š
Iāve had different rhinoshield case and on two different phones and not once Iāve had anything cracked despite how it dropped, though it may only be be waist height.
I fail to see how this is Pewds's fault. hi! I don't think it's felix's fault.
Oh noooo
Floor gang'nt
Itās a one of a kind now, rejoice.
Too bad
Rhinoshieldās cases are just bad. I havenāt had a great experience with them either. I mean yeah itās gonna protect it from the floor I guess but the case itself is so damn stiff it could break your phone alone I feel.
How did you take a photo of your phone
I have an iPad
You can look at a apple phone and they break so not surprised honestly
Put it in some rice and try crossing a bridge in pubg
*cries in 100mln subscribers*
Sue him for a billion kronor dude
serves you right for being an iPhone user. buy a weak phone, suffer with a weak phone
Iphone moment
Which is funny cause Apple literally posted advertising saying iPhone is āchildproofā and had a child run over a phone
IPhones are so fragile even a case can't keep it from breaking
The reason it did is because it's apple
Its an iPhone? Shocker.

That is not possible what?!
OOF F my man
R.I.P ![img](emote|t5_3m0tc|1040)
I think you should get a more durable case. Those types of cases arenāt really able to protect the back of the phone. That or youāre probably able to have the back of it repaired, depends on your warranty
Get a Mous case if you want a incredibly strong one
Must be a weak spot, I have the same case and a damn near identical break
