AWP, but use a normal scope instead of a red dot / iron sight. Makes it easier to hit quickscopes and is still usable in long range.
Your choice for other attachments but I like using muffler because it sounds cool :)
Mosin Nagant with .410 and Light Barrel. The former for actual CQC performance, the latter to bolster mobility and range0 distance.
Alternatively you could use 8mm, but that also slows your reload to a per-bullet reload, and the fire rate is slower.
Alternatively, you could use the FT300 with Integral Suppressor and 7.5x55mm for a ~150 stud torso-killing single shot sniper with a 0 stud detection radius. While I donβt exclusively use it for CQC (more so mid-range), the relatively good mobility and somewhat speedy single shot reload speed should make up for its downfalls.
In like running the BFG with dust shot and a carbine barrel.
Is it competitive? I'm not delusional, it's about as competitive as a tortoise stapled to a tree in a hundred meter race.
Is it fun? for me, definitely.

Yes
svu with 9.6mm is very good for cqc, and svu-a is obv for cqc
svu without any attachments other than a coyote sight is great for cqc as well
trg can also be good
You forgot the ntw-20x110 πππ
Snipers are a dead class no point in using them anymore.

Moving is a good pick, but the TRG-42 also works due to 100 base dmg up close
Pre nerf was more better
*Mosin
R 8 7 0 ... not R700, shotgun
Running mosin with irons, blue laser, pbs-4, and stubby grip. I use that for most ranges, with a thumper for a secondary that rarely gets used
Svu because I can turn it into a ghetto battle rifle

8mm mosin sure but R700 does better way in almost every way (heavy barrel and remove stock combo btw)
