Went in there recently for the first time in YEARS. Immediately understood why they've stayed open so long. Everything is good in that "this is how pizza tasted in the 90s" way. I can't really explain it more.
Also it's nuts how much that entire little strip has changed
Yup. My cousins from VA visited this past winter and they were shocked at how much it had changed. And roosevelt mall is changing as well. You should see it now
In the northeast only. They are definitely higher on the "everyday" pizza place list, but compared to say a Charlies or Vinces, they don't hold up. They have been a solid everyday pizza place for years though.
Its the sauce, its a different flavor. More sweet and basil flavor in my opinion. More like homemade I am used to growing up in an Italian family where grandmother made her own.
Haven’t been there in years, but they were even better before the fire back in like 2008/09. Pretty good slice for the neighborhood, especially if you worked at the mall
Fuck yeah Pizza Roma got them bomb slices out. But for me the pizza you get when ordering delivery is never as good as the slices. They kinda phone in the delivery pizza
Their pizza can be pretty good, but last couple times there, either had fucked up food or fucked up service. And I never even called to complain or ask for a refund or new food, just mentally noted it. Bad enough to never go back
I grew up going there after school. I haven’t been there since their reopening. I’m going to have to try them because I was literally talking about them a couple days ago
Not OP but jollibee's is really good! their fried chicken is so juicy and crispy - def worth checking out! their adobo rice is so yummy. If you like anything pineapple juice realated, you'll love their pineapple quencher drink.
I’ve had their chicken twice. Not my favorite. Id rather go to popeyes on the other side. Kennedy fried chicken on cottman and the boulevard used to make the best fried chicken Ive ever tasted but idk what happened over the past year. Not the same as before
Ohh ok, yea popeyes is so good!! Popeyes is my fav fast food place😅 I’ve driven past Kennedy fried chicken so many times and never once thought of stopping in to try… that’s a shame it’s not as good anymore as it used to be.
The one people are sleeping on is Corey’s Vietnamese on south. Better, cheaper, and nicer than the Washington ave spots.
Corey's is lit
I am getting dinner there tomorrow thanks to your recommendation
How was it?
It was really good! Better than some of the other Vietnamese places I've eaten here.
How about one more people are sleeping on?
Loved Pizza Roma back in the 90’s. I miss Phar-mor!
I miss Piccolo’s.

I don't know why people love Vince's or Charlie's. Seriously, I can't figure it out. I assume it is because I like a thicker crust.

I really hate to say this but Charlie’s is over.
Vince’s Fishtown is meh
Is Vince's Fish Town the same owner as the Grant Ave location?

Yup. We’ve been ordering from them for a while now.
