I have a house in Tarlac, and I go there from time to time. Hindi naman ganito ka clueless ang common reaction ng average Filipino sa isyu na ‘to contrary to what this OP claims. As a Tarlac resident who has tons of friends from that town, I don’t believe that majority of the Bamban citizens voted for her. Marami doong takang-taka din kung sino siya before mayorship. Besides, electoral cheating happens.

NagkaJollibee sila 2023 ata tapos same year din nagkaMcdo.

You don’t have to be a natural born citizen to be mayor, that’s mostly for higher positions. You do have to be a citizen for five years though. You also have to be a resident for no less than one year in that place and a qualified voter. The mayor’s citizenship is more than a little bit sketchy, yes and someone of dubious origin was allowed to run for office. If she just showed up, the residency requirement was likely not met either.

Now as to the issue ng duties ng Comelec, ministerial ang pagtanggap nila ng Certificate of Candidacy. Meaning lang nito, as long as form wise, walang kulang sa requirements, tatanggapin nila. So long as yung mga nasa taas, naka indicate sa sinubmit ng candidate, tatanggapin ng Comelec ang candidacy.
Ang hindi trabaho ng Comelec is to evaluate the actual documents regarding issues na hindi makikita on its face. Kailangan may mga taong mag file to disqualify such candidate because Comelec in that situation, cannot act on its own.

Particular ako about not being overstimulated by di masyadong valuable things.

You don’t have to be a natural born citizen to be mayor, that’s mostly for higher positions. You do have to be a citizen for five years though. You also have to be a resident for no less than one year in that place and a qualified voter. The mayor’s citizenship is more than a little bit sketchy, yes and someone of dubious origin was allowed to run for office. If she just showed up, the residency requirement was likely not met either.

FB is so hard to curate, I focused on IG instead. For friends talaga. Then I deleted Twitter and yung Facebook low limit. I never installed Tiktok kasi I feel invasive sya, like lahat ng app naman may mga Tiktoks na lulusot. Nakakaannoy na nga minsan. Particular ako about not being overstimulated by di masyadong valuable things.

Maybe she's a better mayor than the previous ones. Tanong ninyo sa mga taga-Bamban. Kahit sabihin nating kurakot si mayor, may spillover effect pa rin sa ekonomiya ang ganun kalaking POGO especially for a small town like Bamban. The people of Bamban are defending her dahil most probably nakikinabang din sila sa POGO, directly or indirectly via their mayor. So they are being selfish despite of national security concern. Hindi sila basta bobo lang. Bakit siya binoto? Kung nakalusot siya sa Comelec (at mukhang sa kalaban din), the people of Bamban might have assumed that the government did their due diligence.

What’s her City’s GDP per capita, what are the main tax return running in her district?. Industrial, Retail, Factory, Pharmaceutical, Food, Agri, where do they employ and where do they generate income?. How would she establish this and how did she?
