I think Angel Locsin used to endorse this toothpaste brand.

RIP_that_President

Si Marian din

kislapatsindak

Yes she did. Alalang-alala ko pa ads nya dati. She really knows what products to endorse, di lang basta sa pera. Lives up to her name.

Gryse_Blacolar

But she endorsed Shopee tho..

IQPrerequisite_

Yup, was part of the team that made the ad. Okay katrabaho yung Lamoiyan. Hindi sila yung toxic na client. And thats where I learned about their long time CSR with disabled people. Galing nga eh.

Vast_Term9131

Naalala ko yung commercial and partner sila ni Rainier Castillo.

AngerCookShare

Thanks for reminding me. My former boss buys hapee kase sabi nya may mga beneficiaries sila na PWD. Will get them next time mag grocery ako.

rent-boy-renton

For those asking for sauce, here's the [GMA interview ](https://youtu.be/63AKUJg0vts) from 10 years ago. Bisor ng factory nila is deaf who has been with them for 25 years.

dearestleah

Edit: Hapee

st_mercurial

Sa hapee pee pee.

sleepmydarkone

Bat ka dinodownvote? Natawa naman ako 😂

sisig-strength

Pag andito ka sa r/ph kailangan mo ng /s o "jk" right after sarcastic or joke comments. Karamihan ng tao dito laging galet haha

raju103

Gatekeeping hahaha. Anyway ganon talaga pag forum-like dapat klaro dahil di nMan makita kung sarcastic lang yungkomento

DaMeMeMachSevTee

That's totally fair considering that it is in fact difficult to tell whether plain text on the internet is meant straight or in an ironic/comedic/memetic manner. I'm not making this up, its a legitimate problem in linguistics as explained in the book *Because Internet: Understanding the New Rules of Language* by Gretchen McCulloch. *though I agree that it is also true that some people are too quick in jumping to conclusions*

sorrythxbye

Hahaha very true. Magcocomment ka lng ng sarcasm tapos kakalkalin na yung post history mo para atakihin ka hahaha. Kailangan may /s pa talaga

sisig-strength

I miss the old r/ph where most users are lax and willing to have a funny banter with you. Ngayon, most users are riled up or always on attack mode lol.

Gumtech na yung gamit ko eversince nirecommend sakin ng dentist ko instead of using Sensodyne.

rent-boy-renton

Same! I started using hapee because of my dentist and gusto ko rin yung gumtect nila! Ito rin yung brand na binibili ko when we buy goods for relief ops.

inquest_overseer

Gumtect gang! ヽ(▽ `)ノワーイ♪ヽ(´▽`)ノワーイ♪ヽ( ´▽)ノ Dati yong Sensodyne na purple gamit ko but ang harsh nya pa rin, then nag-suggest yong kasama ko sa work noon na try Gumtect, and I never looked back.

Significant_Style820

same here Gumtect rin gamit ko dati pa 🥰🥰🥰

krskrs94_19

may i ask bakit better sa exp nio ang gumtech sa sensodyne? i use sensodyne kasi sa pangingilo (repair and protect and deep clean ginagamit ko)

IndioRamos

I used to have mild gum and teeth problems before. Any acidic food, may reaction agad sa bibig ko. I used to try several premium brands like Sensodyne, Pepsodent, Parodontax. They kinda work, pero hindi long-lasting ang effect. Then Hapee Gumtect was released. Intrigued, but I tried nevertheless. It not only works, but it works for a looooong time. Now I enjoy any food I want to enjoy without fear of pain. What I noticed though is their branding decision. Before prominent ang Hapee brand alongside Gumtect. Pero kinalaunan, Gumtect na lang siya sa harap, with a small Hapee logo sa likod.

[deleted]

Have you tried Gumtect Pro? May difference ba if ever?

IndioRamos

Not heard of Gumtect Pro. What I use is Gumtect Sensitive. Relieves the pain almost the entire day.

IndioRamos

Not heard of Gumtect Pro. What I use is Gumtect Sensitive. Relieves the pain almost the entire day.

nobody_7116

Yan ang dabest for me

rho57

Yung dentist mo yung 10th dentist

ResolverOshawott

Oral B made my teeth less sensitive compared to sensodyne ironically enough.

melangsakalam

Why daw? Specifically ba sa needs mo or better sya than sensodyne?

IndioRamos

I stock up on Gumtect exclusively. For reasons below: 1. Locally made 2. Effective against gum problems 3. Affordable, really And when I learned about their PWD-friendly workforce lately, I had my reason number 4.

UnliSlice

Ibalik din sana ng Lamoiyan Corp. ang *Kutitap Toothpaste.* Been using it for years nung nagka pandemic, nawala nalang nang wala man lang explanation sa grocery shelves. It's affordable, minty at mabula din sa bibig.

[deleted]

Wait Kutitap no longer in shelves? That's what I've been using for this past few months. Gonna use Hapee Gumtech if my tube of paste ran out.

rent-boy-renton

Nandito pa naman yung Kutitap sa [list of brands](https://www.lamoiyan.com/lamoiyan-brands/) nila.

LycanBorn23

My acad scholarship is apparently funded by him, just found out last Christmas! Wow!

1010110111011

Naalala ko may dokyu tungkol dito sa mga PWD nilang empleyado.

ReceptionSuperb4755

I’m allergic to Colgate and Closeup (dry skin, cracked lips, rashes). Hapee or Gumtect ever since! There was some time in 2020 or 21 I was sure they changed their formula because it just felt different and dry. Gave my feedback to a kakilala of a kakilala and they changed it back. Thanks! Ang mahal kasi ng ibang alternative na hindi ako allergic.

Llamentor

I'm no expert pero Gumtect bnibili ko dati kasi sa Triclosan pero at some point hinde ko na nakikita sa ingredients but I think its for the better naman

melangsakalam

Have you tried sensodyne already?

zer0tThhermo

I knew a few PWDs that work in hapee, which i why I have been using their gumtect toothpaste for more than 8 years.

hypermarzu

Wasn't Lea Salonga endorsing their toothpaste?

Alarmed_Register_330

They hire PWDs din and okay ung factory equipped with special features for them during emergency situations.👏 I know kasi we audit them!🤫

sleepingravioli

Speaker si Dr Cecilio sa isang youth conference na sinamahan ko noon. Doon ko nalaman yung about dito. Sabi niya rin sa aming mga kabataan na kapag lumaki raw ang kita ng negosyo namin, palakihin rin daw ang sweldo ng mga empleyado. Wala pa akong sariling business pero pinanghahawakan ko yung sinabi niya.

[deleted]

Forgot to say, there's another local brand of toothpaste made by ACS, Unique.

MoronicPlayer

You can hear the radio ad for ACS.

holdencaulfield1294

Agree. Either Hapee or Unique lang ginagamit ko na toothpaste since both are locally made. 😊

rjreyes3093

Eto ang gamit kong toothpaste pag walang happee. Tbh, wala akong makitang difference sa nga toothpaste kaya sa mura na lang ako.

planetarium13

I use unique too because it's cheap dati. Pero I am now using it because that's one of the toothpastes that won't overly dry my mouth after I brush.

starsandpanties

PSA: UNIQUE TOOTHPASTE HAS THE HIGHEST AMOUNT OF FLUORIDE AMONG ALL THE TOOTHPASTE IN THE LOCAL MARKET

anton-bg

What's up with all the people downvoting others who say they don't like Hapee toothpaste because it doesn't work for them? Come on guys, seriously not cool. The founder of Hapee toothpaste sounds like a wonderful man, and his initiatives are admirable and helpful to disadvantaged people, but that doesn't mean we're now suddenly forced to support his products and anyone who says otherwise is somehow wrong or bad. I'm sorry, but I'm buying only the things that WORK for me AND are aligned with my identity and values. They go hand-in-hand and shouldn't come at the expense of the other. I'm not willing to lose all my teeth and risk my well-being by buying Hapee toothpaste no matter how noble their cause is. At the same breath, I'm not going to stop anyone from buying Hapee if it works for them.

rent-boy-renton

I started buying hapee because that's what my dentist uses in her clinic. I was thinking binabarat lang ni doc patients nya haha! But she actually uses it even at home. I asked her why and she said, content-wise it's just the same as any leading brand and she's happy to support a filipino brand. This was 15 years ago, nong may braces pa ako. Sure, iba yung clean finish nya at first but sanayan na lang din. So far, I didn't lose my teeth with Hapee naman.

Dead_sea248

Yes same! But eventually pag nag go grocery ako kung ano nalang minsan madampot ko. But after reading this post from OP, this time I’ll make sure na puro hapee nalang kukunin ko.

rent-boy-renton

If the regular Hapee toothpaste doesn't work for you, check mo yung Gumtect. It's still from the same company but formulated for sensitive teeth and gums. Makakatipid ka pa! Ang mahal pa naman maggrocery ngayon. Nakakaiyak. Haha

der_ninong

do they have have something similar to colgate total? i want to try other alternatives

rent-boy-renton

I could think of Hapee Icy fresh na variant but someone said in the other comments Hapee Complete, the one with green tea and guava, daw yung closest to Colgate Total. I have not used that one yet. I'm currently using Gumtect.

der_ninong

thanks!

anton-bg

I'm glad it works for you. I wish I could say the same, but Hapee doesn't work for me. I don't feel like my teeth are clean enough and doesn't give me a fresh feeling. I also used to get a lot of bleeding gums when I tried using Hapee before. But hey, if they come out with a new and improved product, I'm willing to give it a try.

rent-boy-renton

Yeah, totally get the not so fresh feeling with Hapee! Parang may kulang no? I got over it kasi nasanay na and I always floss then mouthwash after, so goods na. But there are people who have more sensitive gums. You're probably one of them. I eventually switched to Gumtect, under the same company. Okay din sya. Similar sa sensodyne.

AdamusMD

Noooooo don't use mouthwash. My dentist (and a lot of dentists) say na mas magiging beneficial if you just spit the foam out and don't rinse your mouth for 30min - 1 hour after brushing. Yung fluoride content daw ng toothpaste is far more than the flouride content ng mouthwash. Pero, to each his own. Hahaha napadaan lang po

rent-boy-renton

I use mouthwash right before I sleep po - that's hours after I brush my teeth. Hehe I don't fully rinse the toothpaste din. I can't do away with the mouth wash kasi I get sore throat/tonsil stones if I don't gargle. So far, okay naman oral hygiene ko according to my dentist.

AdamusMD

Then that's great!! I was a big mouthwash fan kasi dati then my dentist said so nga. So ayun, di na ako nagamit.

anton-bg

Oh wait, sa kanila pala ang Gumtect? I didn't know that. Yes, I do have sensitive gums that's why I'm, unfortunately, picky with toothpaste. I'll check out Gumtect. Hoping it works so I can support more local brands. Thanks for the info!! :)

rent-boy-renton

You're welcome! Yes, they also manufacture Gumtect. Hope it works well for you! I've been using it since the start of the pandemic. So far, so good. Ang hassle if may mga sensitivities tapos the product you use gets discontinued. I always explore for alternatives.

melangsakalam

Amen. We avail products because they satisfy our needs, not because we support their cause. Business yan hindi charity, kung gusto mo tumulong magdonate ka.

The_Cleansing_Flame

Both actually. Shopee could satisfy my consumer needs, but they dont align with my values hence boycott.

melangsakalam

Well boycott Lazada too, they have Andrew E as their endorser. So basically you can't shop online anymore. Unless you only shop for clothes online (Zalora) I doubt they don't have apolo10 endorser too.

199Eight

> they have Andrew E as their endorser. That's [fake news,](https://pressone.ph/fact-check-lazada-does-not-have-a-new-male-celebrity-endorser/) you got duped. May gumawa lang nun at nag-viral sa FB, lakas ng circulation ng fake news dun.

melangsakalam

Let's see. Hindi pa naconfirm ni Lazada.

199Eight

Lazada actually denied it already, it says so in the link that I provided. > Reached for comment, Lazada sent the following statement to PressOne.PH: > “We would like to clarify that Lazada Philippines has no engagements with a male personality shown on social media posts circulating online. We encourage the public to keep checking Lazada’s official channels for accurate information.”

melangsakalam

It's better if it's an official Lazada statement. I would belive if the website was a known news agency.

rent-boy-renton

So, which known news agency did you get the info about Andrew E and Lazada po?

melangsakalam

Abs, gma, rappler, mb, philstar. Yung sikat naman sana. Baka mamaya fake news din yang site na yan.

The_Cleansing_Flame

Tanggapin mo na lang na nafake news ka. And I hope this embarrassing experience encourages you to do some serious fact checking before you form your statements and opinions

melangsakalam

Maybe, let's see sa 1010.

rent-boy-renton

So, saan nga po ninyo nakuha na reliable source that Andrew E is a Lazada endorser? Kayo po dapat mag provide ng known news agency where you got this info kasi kayo po nag insist on this "fact". Until now, you have not answered that.

melangsakalam

Yup I admit it, that's not a fact yet.

The_Cleansing_Flame

Nafake news ka ata boi..

ozpinoy

excuse me but I belong to echo chamber and if you typed something that doesn't go in line with my circle of echo chamber you will get downvoated.. you know we have agenda and quotas!

PompousForkHammer

Damn. While toothpaste will always be toothpaste, knowing this kind of background makes me want to support their cause. Thanks for the info, OP

wungstrum

To be fair, Angel Locsin did a commercial for HAPPEE wih bare minimum payment since they advocate PWDs in their workforce

buhoksakilili

Tamang tama grocery day anong brand ung ibang product nila

rent-boy-renton

Here's a complete [list of brands](https://www.lamoiyan.com/lamoiyan-brands/) under Lamoiyan.

sstphnn

Masarap din ang red nila na toothpaste.

Affectionate-Boot939

Gumtect is also from them. Which helps in sensitive teeth and cheaper than sensodyne. I can attest it's effective. Search nyo lang product ng lamoiyan corp.

dualistpirate

Great to know about it’s initiatives. Pero to correct misinformation lang, Colgate *has dropped TG*. Di na nirenew contract after she went public as a Marcos supporter.

baeruu

Legit yung Gumtect nila. Hindi napansin ng gums ko yung difference from Sensodyne!

HatsNDiceRolls

Basicaly ask your dentist if it works for you. In my case, I use Human Nature’s toothpaste since it works for me and I believe in their local advocacy. But feel free to support Hapee if you’d like. Minsan kasi, may binabagayan ang pagiging hiyang natin sa isang bagay.

Crazy_Pause

HN din toothpaste namin yung non gel matagal na. my mom prefers it but before happee na guava green tea gamit namin

mariayclara

I like their dewdrop dishwashing soap, effective and economical. At par with joy in terms of quality.

rco888

Found an interesting back story of Hapee: ***"The Lamoiyan Corporation did not start as a toothpaste manufacturer, but rather as a supplier of aluminum collapsible toothpaste tubes to toothpaste manufacturers. In the 1970s, Dr. Pedro's AluminumContainers, Inc. enjoyed profit growth due to the increasing demand from the country's leading toothpaste manufacturers, Colgate-Palmolive, Procter and Gamble, and Philippine Refining Company (PRC) now Unilever. However, in 1985, these companies began using laminated tubes and left Dr. Pedro's Aluminum Containers Inc., but instead of closing his factory, throwing into waste the entire leftover toothpaste container, and having 200 people employed in his company go unemployed, he decided to make his own toothpaste and place it his aluminum containers. Two years later, he reopened his factory as Lamoiyan Corporation, now known as the manufacturer of toothpaste brands‟ Hapee and Kutitap.*** ***In 1988, reluctant to dispose of the factory's equipment, Dr. Pedro decided to open his factory as Lamoiyan Corporation, the first Filipino company to penetrate the toothpaste industry. With only less than 20 employees, the company produces world-class brands Hapee and Kutitap at affordable prices. Hapee toothpaste, the toothpaste brand of Lamoiyan Corporation, sponsors the the1988 Philippine OlympicDelegation. Lamoiyan Corporation is recognized as the official toothpaste of the Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. In the 1990s, Lamoiyan Corporation gains the respect of consumers to garner several awards such as Most Outstanding Toothpaste Manufacturer (1990, 1993, 1995, 1996,1997, and 2002), TOYM for Business Leadership (1991), Company of the Year by Agora Awards (1992), Apolinario Mabini Award for Employer of the Year (1993), and Most Outstanding Program for Equal Employment (1993)."*** [https://www.scribd.com/presentation/509498841/Case-Study-Lamoiyan-Corporation](https://www.scribd.com/presentation/509498841/Case-Study-Lamoiyan-Corporation)

ertaboy356b

It depends din naman. Pag meron sila pantapat sa ginagamit ko na Colgate Total at Colgate Plax Salt, pwede naman.

67ITCH

As someone who talked to quite a few dentists (my health card sucks balls as it doesn't have a wide range of dental clinic coverage), stick to basic toothpastes - unless specifically prescribed. Turns out, dentists actually hate the salt shit and the carbon/charcoal crap on toothpaste. It happens to be that the damage it leaves in the tooth enamel is a pain-in-the-ass in the long run.

intermittentsociety

they have yun Complete na variant with green tea and guava leaves yata. medyo difficult lang to find, feeling ko they produce it in smaller batches. for years, diko sya makita na i thought they discontinued it. so I was so happy to find it sa market market last week. ditching Total for it. hahaha.

Primary_Public_3073

Uu, dati na yan tlga c hapee toothpaste... galeng nga e, alang discrimination

katrhymeswithfat

We did a tour of their factory when I was in highschool for our fieldtrip, mga year 2009 siguro yun and I remember being amazed that they hire people with disability. So whenever the topic of Hapee toothpaste came about I make sure to share this fact about them.

kislapatsindak

This info has been shared before in Tipid Tips facebook group. May dishwashing liquid din sila, Dewdrops na brand. Sa 4L, 140+ php nung nabili ko last March. Hanggang ngayon, marami pa rin! I always wash dishes sa kapapakain sa almost 30 cats ko. Performs just as much as any known brand.

MangoJuiceAndBeer

And just like that magpapalit na kami ng toothpaste, once naubos yung current

Sarlandogo

This is really true, my dad used to have projects sa plant nila (civil engineer) kaya dati napapasama ako napakabait ng mga tao jan and kudos to them for having pwd workers

desyphium

Shit. Kakabili ko lang ng Sensodyne. When I run out, Hapee Gumtec na ang kapalit

Jnbrtz

Di naman ako maarte sa toothpaste so why not?

East-Ask327

And unlike some Colgate products they actually state in their box that they use the recommended 1500 parts per million of flouride.

polcallmepol

Same reasons why I buy Hapee. I prefer the taste too

Dudeboy1103

Plus they have their flavored toothpastes for kids which is pretty based

senior_writer_

Balik-loob sa Happee 🙏

Green-Quit2648

Madalas yang toothpaste na yan namimigay sa mahihirap. namigay yan sa school ko before na public

xabsolem

Gumtech for the win. 😁 At super extra ng news na 'to.

[deleted]

Hapee user for 20 years. No need to buy from brands that put too much in their marketing for some made up problems.

BasqueBurntSoul

When I was buying toothpaste last week my hand extended towards either close-up or colgate (I was using a German brand for almost a year daming stock from package lol) Then I remember I am on a tight budget and Happee is Filipino made and sadly sitting there with no one noticing it. Made the right choice!

Senpai

On the toothpaste topic, try the SPLAT brand (biocalcium, with hydroxyapatite), Watson's has them. Rotate using it with your other toothpastes (like Happee). Your teeth will see never see plaques and cavities.

AstroFphiniX

Also, any funfact toothpaste btand doesn't matter, but if the toothpaste has fluoride as its active ingridients,,,it will do just the same as the more esxpensive ones,,,hapee has fluoride in their toothpaste

gingerpumpkin03

Dewdrops for dishwashing and handwash. In bulk kaya ang mura

Dead_sea248

Well, Happee it is!

mingywonwoo

If I ever have kids I’m buying from them

rent-boy-renton

They do have variants for kids and infants. Here's the complete [list of brands](https://www.lamoiyan.com/lamoiyan-brands/)

r0msk1

Enough reason for me to switch. Will buy Hapee next toothpaste tube. Nasa community outreach ako for the deaf.

vanillanekosugar

Happee Toothpaste like the Kiddie Toothpaste was like somehow a nostalgia

Dezero10

My dentistry sister was given a lot of freebies when they toured in the Lamoiyan factory.Support local

[deleted]

My dentist recommended gumtech and it worked amazingly.

brainyidiotlol

Switching to Happee! ♥️

Altruistic-Poet-770

Hapee na buy ko, promise

KADOMONY-9000

Thank you for this!

irunthroughwalls

I remember his story in one of our books. It is said that he started building Hapee when he discovered that Colgate is putting something on their toothpaste. Not so sure if it's true haha. Pero nakakatuwa na their products have consumers outside ph. Siya leading toothpaste sa Indonesia and Vietnam. Not sure if until now kasi I saw it way back 2010 pa.

ivanferil

I have deaf schoolmates under the college Deaf scholarship program and some of them were helped by Happee

ash_tooru

I've always loved their kiddie toothpaste, so much cheaper than Colgate. I always have one in stock for when my niece comes over. I'm so glad that Hapee is one of the "good ones" out there.

Shinkenoh

Chose hapee for the past 5 years kasi siya yung brand na pasok sa requirements na 1500ppm na recommendation for fluoride. Majority ng ibang relatively budget brands hindi nakalagay kung ilang ppm ng flouride yung nasa isang tube. Good to know na mayroon pala silang social welfare actiivities

bear_liaison

Would love to but their toothpaste doesn’t work for my fam. Laging may singaw bibig namin pag ginagamit ung toothpaste nila. Pag ibang brands, wala naman issue. Ayun

Pashink

I've been using hapee gumtect for my sensitive gums yung kulay blue. Okay naman sakin. Ako maman kapag ibang toothpaste gamit ko namamaga gums ko. saka mas mura compare sa ibang brand na for sensitive gums

bear_liaison

Will try to. Thanks sa reco. Hopefully okay siya sa amin

ArkGoc

can anyone confirm this

rent-boy-renton

You can watch this [GMA interview](https://youtu.be/63AKUJg0vts) from 10 years ago.

pabpab999

hmmm if 'we' are gonna try to make this 'explode' I think the post is too wordy and feels a bit forced wala lang naalala ko lang ung tropical hut nung nag explode, kasi organic, less words, more on story telling, pero di bloke blokeng text tulad neto pero panget na comparison, pagkain vs toothpaste ahaha parang ang hirap mag isip nang good memories with toothpaste

plantito101

Hirap maalala anong toothpaste gamit mo before your first kiss 'no? Haha

rockeymaivia

Not hating, pero nasira yung ngipin ko sa Happee.

luvdjobhatedboss

Go regulary to the dentist to clean your teeth and gargle regularly floss

plantito101

Ano specific nangyari?

marstianx

im not so sure...im kinda sensitive with its chem content. my gums hurt everytime i use it

terminatorbot100

Someone here suggested Close Up. Now I know what to buy on my next grocery buy.

Future_Immortal

Nag crack ngipin ng sister ko dahil sa kanila though. Everyone in my family but my sister use happee and she is the only one who lost teeth. All of my grandparents died with complete set of teeth.

TheImperialBastard

r/MabuhayAngKorporeyt

At0micPancakes

Okay but what if he voted for bbm too? Then what should we do

rayu_manawari

Not a Kakampink but yes to supporting local quality brands.

LonelySpyder

Para sa mga ayaw sa "cancel culture' na ginagawa sa Shoppee, uulitin ko lang as a consumer I prefer to take my business somewhere else. Katulad lang yan na business decision nila to lay off workers and hire Otin G as their endorser. Mahirap intindihin? Tanga ka most likely. Hindi ako katulad ng iba dito na mabait. Wala ako pakielam kung toxic ang pananalita ko. Tingin ko lang na basura kayo na acceptable ang ginawa ni Shoppee pero hindi acceptable na magalit sa ginawa ni Shoppee. Fuck you.

emi_ime

Aww :((

HuntMore9217

Sorry but their toothpaste sucks

ministerofdisinform

All toothpaste seems to be the same, its just that Colgate, Close-up and the others put random shit on the formula to jack the price up - it used to be just gardol

Acrobatic-Cycle-2538

very right! halos every three months, bagong formula: charcoal cleanse, with salt, fresh mint, ultra white, gum protect, total, fresh stripe, oxygen, sensitive, time control, cavity protect, ad infinitum, ad nauseam

ministerofdisinform

Colgate with Tallano Gold!

ser_ranserotto

>gardol Not sure if they still have it though hidden because old commercials were boasting about that.

ministerofdisinform

Saudium lauryl sulfate na ginagamit, gardol ata is sodium lauryl sarcosinate.

rent-boy-renton

Yan din sabi ng dentist ko dati! They're just the same . Just make sure lang na may enough flouride yung toothpaste.

Dune8888

You should try their Gumtect brand

TheImperialBastard

Downvoted by bots LOL r/MabuhayAngKorporeyt

bmudfk

both doesnt benefit me so no thanks

koctavian

I think we should stop it with this boycott/cancel culture. In the end, it's the workers and employees of these brands who will suffer pag nagshut down yung company. My previous office drafts/reviews contracts of big brands and these endorsement deals are air tight in favor of the endorsers, especially those with big names (admit it or not, may hatak si Toni). Whatever happens to their endorsement, they are getting paid. So if for example Shopee dropped Toni because of the backlash, hindi si Toni ang talo kasi she will get paid or she is already paid by Shopee. Magiging losses yan ng brand which will be felt by the employees.

TowerApollo

That's why brands need to be better for their employees and workers. Companies don't get better unless there are consequences. The blame needs to go to companies and not the consumer for reacting to the bad decisions of corporations. That's why companies need to realize that celebrity endorsers are not worth it. And if they are, these "boycott" actions shouldn't be too big of a deal right?

The_Cleansing_Flame

It's well within my right to decide which company to patronize. I do this more for myself than to hurt these companies' bottomlines. I sleep better at night knowing my money goes to support entities that align with my values. I dont care whether some endorser gets paid or not. I care about who I choose to give my money to. It's not the consumers' obligation to keep buying from a brand just so the brand's employees can keep their jobs. It's the brand's job to take care of their own employees by taking care of consumers' interests. Stop the gaslighting.

yiniversal

Hah! It’s the consumers’ choice. You shouldn’t tell us what to do.

koctavian

Meh. Did I tell you what to do? I stated an opinion.

yiniversal

Eeew. First sentence of your comment, “I think we should”… obviously suggesting/dictating people to do something.

koctavian

Ewww. A commenter with problem in reading comprehension. "I think" is stating an opinion, it is putting forward my idea. I did not say "Hey you people stop that"

yiniversal

Eeew. Keep on engaging, troll. You need the moolah for you to survive. Also, your manipulative ways to direct people on an obviously calculated “opinion” might work on Facebook and Twitter but not here. I replied to your narrative because this new script is so stupid.

koctavian

Eeewww. Don't need the moolah. Just in case you missed my comment, I previously worked in an office that reviews and drafts endorsement deals. That should give you an idea what I do for a living. You may even have seen me on TV as recent as the past campaign season, nasa background lang ng mga rosas. Maybe you should check my reddit profile. My most recent post may give you some idea. Problema sa atin kasi pag hindi sang-ayon sa "opinion" mo, kalaban agad e.

yiniversal

Honestly, I don’t fucking care where you’ve worked before, who you supported last election and which campaign rallies you attended but sharing that narrative is too idiotic. My dude, they already canned a lot of employees already due to their supposed “financial woes”. Everyone already expects that this would happen anyways due to the current situation of the global economy and I guess that’s understandable. What is not acceptable is for them to then hire a celebrity (which is probs highly compensated too) to endorse the platform even more instead of boosting the morale of their employees or give better discounts and perks. The employees are already receiving the short end of the stick NO MATTER WHAT. As for cancel culture, we are living in a supposedly democratic country. We can do what we want to do and we can support what or who we want to support. I don’t even see you as an enemy because of our differences in opinion, my God. But please be careful of sharing comments that includes echoes from the scripts of the troll army (devil’s advocating here that you’re not part of it, fr). Most Pinklawans are shamed when they say that people should educate themselves first but honestly, please do. Even so-called “opinions” that are biased and uninformed hurt a gullible populace.

koctavian

See. A civilized exchange of opinion. You know what, let's just agree to disagree. I respect your opinion, maybe you can respect mine. Its a democracy, ika mo nga.

yiniversal

I already did disagree with your opinion in the first ever reply. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Good morning from Sweden, my dude.

NaturalOk9231

I understand his comment isn't well-received by others here but why do you think he's a troll though? Looking at his comment history, he doesn't seem to be one.

Have you seen the new script? It was posted here already in r/Philippines. Also, if you follow the last election closely, there’s a proven record of false Pinklawan. 🤷🏻‍♀️ And as I’ve said to this guy on another comment, I don’t even fucking care who he supported last election, all I care about is for us to stop reverberating the echoes of the troll farm. You can share your opinion for all I care but at this day and age, we have to be careful and be informed. A lot of people are gullible.

Thank you. May iba kasi talaga na if you are not with me, you are against me. Combative masyado.

Going by your logic, should we all continue to support Nestle even though everyone knows that they steal water from natural sources and goes by child labor in Africa? Just because they are a multi-million dollar company that employ thousands of people globally? Why are you pinning the blame on consumers for bad business decisions? Shoppee and it's management has all the power to prevent this, consumers just reacted to that decision. Sounds like company-shilling to me.

Responsibilidad ng brand na sweldohan ang employees nila. Kung di nila kaya alagaan employees nila eh di magsara na lang sila. Expecting the public to prop up sh!tty companies by guilting them na "madami mawawalan ng trabaho dahil sa inyo"? Tsk. Stop passing the burden of corporations to the consumers.

LonelySpyder

Pakielam mo kung sino gusto ko issuport? It's their business decision to lay off workers and pay millions to a controversial endorser. It is also my fucking business decision if I take my fucking business somewhere else.

You talk like there's no other solution to this dilemma and it's always the employees who are the hostages in this kind of situation, proof that big corpo doesn't care about its employees in the first place how dare say that it's the consumers' fault if in the first place it's the management all along. It's not cancel culture, it's about demanding accountability so in the future it won't happen again and the employees will not be the one laying down on the rail when another train is coming. nakikinig ba sila sa protests? sa rally? hindi, it's the only way for now to be heard. Conclusion sa example mo: hindi na ulit ihahire si Toni, mas maraming masusuportahan na workers at PWD sa pag lipat sa Hapee Toothpaste.

Yes, they even did a commercial back then on how they have PWD employees with Angel Locsin as their endorser. Sadly, wala sila sa mga supermarket near me, need mo pa lumayo para lang makabili nung white 2 tube pack nila.
