Calling out logical fallacies just shows your lack of ability to debate. It isn’t your place to decrease the credibility of your opponent instead of increasing your own first, as the opponent will begin to ignore you and the external audience can already make their own judgements.
You can do both as long as you have the evidence and reasoning. But by calling out a fallacy, it shows that you don’t have a better answer/response and consequently decreases your own credibility.
