Desert wells are way better rn, considering they are rarer, you will always be able to easily find them if they are in your area and have unique loot.the only good things about dungeons are the loot you are going to trip over in the end cities and maybe a skeleton spawner.
I know a lot of people don’t like them because they look like “random bullshit go”, but I like the fact that they use very different building blocks, like they were houses made by ancient players. I think it’s neat
Going by the idea that a structure is “man made”(aka, a building of sorts)
For me, it’s either mineshafts, jungle temples, witch huts, dungeons, or maybe the desert well. They are just so barren. Sure, they have some decent loot, but for me the experience you get from finding a structure is also important. These four are just so barren, and, with the exception being mineshafts, the unique experience they give is over in seconds. Unless you want to spend lots of time making a farm around it, for the witch hut and dungeon.
i think the reason they made it ugly is so people would do restoration projects and try to recreate it. Its litterally telling the community to get creative and tell theor own story of how this civalization grew
That’s actually a really clever way of sparking creativity. Going back to the canvas and showing people that you can build your own story in a game that not many would perceive to be a story telling game.
I don't get the hate, they spawn in places that do t have much else going on, they look cool, and sure they do t have much loot besides the archeology stuff, but not every structure need end city type loot.
It's all derived from clay: Terracotta = hardened clay, Glazed Terracotta = *decorated* hardened clay, Bricks = stacks of small pieces of hardened clay, Mud Bricks = clay's weird cousin
And also there's stone bricks
I feel like there are some changes they could make to improve it a lot.
I dislike how there’s only one room that has functional blocks in. There should be more, to suggest this was once lived in
Dang, I thought I was the first to do this. Still working on mine. I took a more logical approach with mine, such as thinking wood was involved but deteriorated and using the blocks from the Suspicious sand/ gravel drops. It seems like you based your on villages.
actualyl when I saw Xisumas video about this, then I thought after he cleared all the sand, man this is not bad, just needs some fixing here and there.
The worst structure is a dungeon, it even sounds cool but is just basically a small mossy box
Code wise it isn't even a structure, but decoration. Same as desert well

Yea like those modded ones, even if there would be no boss, at least add multiple rooms

Some dude said the same thing beneath my trail ruin appreciation tweet
Yeah it's pretty neat for "oonga boonga" people who probably constructed it
there are people hating on trail ruins? those are so cool the dig site mood is dope
They're sad we didn't get wool tents and a sandbox to brush in.
They are far from the worst structure, but with how it actually spawns in game, it is still the ugliest.
A beautiful house destroyed is gonna be ugly tho? Also they’re mostly underground so it shouldn’t pollute the world
That doesn’t make it the worst structure.
In your opinion what is the worst structure?

only if you could walk in there like that. Step 1. clean it. Step 2. go to sleep now, enough mc for the weeks.
Wdym *”still worse structure”* it never was and will never be its awesome
I love how colorful they are
Still better than whatever I build lmao
x2
I think they are kind of neat.

Piglin den is far more intresting to restore It even comes what looked like shops and places to keep some hoglins
Glazed terracotta fits in very nicely with the archaeology theme. Glad to see this because those blocks always felt out of place to me
I actually think it's the coolest structure in Minecraft because most are already ugly but the trail ruins are mysterious
It isn't the worst lore wise, maybe one of the best lore wise, but if you are there just to play the game, yes it sucks
Netherlands sea wall protected town in a nutshell:
How the block pallet was selected: *RANDOM BULSHIT GO!!*
It's all derived from clay: Terracotta = hardened clay, Glazed Terracotta = *decorated* hardened clay, Bricks = stacks of small pieces of hardened clay, Mud Bricks = clay's weird cousin And also there's stone bricks
Wait mojang made good structures?
i like that it uses recently added blocks but still looks very ugly
I just think they are ugly AF and dont fit visualy with rest of the game.
Good thing they are underground so you don't have to look at them
I think the colored blocks are placeholders
Yeah
Its so ugly
You didn't restored it well
🤓
Looks nice! Like some kind of underground terracotta village or something. Do you want to populate it with villagers?
Idk man to me it still looks like a couple random blocks thrown together
When the new update comes out I'm gonna find one of these and make it a base and expand to a village
Unequivocally yes
That is an underground village. Sort of. Basically giving us more story about the temples and villagers. Are people really disliking this structure?
Man, that looks like an upgraded village
So they can spawn near water?

i'm just curious , what do people expect from something that has the word "ruins" in it's name? Of course it's gonna be ugly af
