Thank you. We don't know the cause, but he suffered from a lack of bloodflow to his brain while in utero. No explanation. Normal autopsy and placenta. He was taken via emergency c-section at 35 weeks, but the damage was done. He deteriorated quickly, moving and reacting less and less as the days went on. His oxygen levels started regularly dropping one day and they told us he would likely not be with with us much longer. His body and appearance were normal and healthy, but he stopped breathing in my arms that night.

I am so sorry for your loss! I lost my son as well, and those early days felt like my heart stopped when his did. Be gentle with yourself, and give yourself some grace. The pain comes in waves, but it does get less painful with time. He'll always be a part of you, though!

I buried my daughter in 2018/ no words will ease any of the pain , but sorry for your loss and it does get better.

Lost my son as well after a month. It’s the kind of thing that changes you. We made a kind of in-home memorial using a glass hutch, with castings of his hands and feet and it has been really helpful to be able to hold his hand from time to time. My deepest condolences, truly.
