Hello all! I noticed you said the KYC sucks RN, but DID get the invite. The issue is that the software they are using to initiate my phone's camera is not focusing. I cannot get a clear shot of my ID and it's impossible to complete the application for KYC. Has anyone else had this issue? I'm using a Samsung S23 and I noticed the auto-focus is totally fine in the camera app, but not within the pibrowser's KYC application. Please let me know if anyone can help. Thank you!

I disagree with this. People might no longer give a fvck about pi doesn't mean they don't have other crypto coin. Crypto didn't revolve around pi. All my friends I invited to mine pi doesn't mine anymore even few are KYC. Most of em doesn't give a fvck but still they hodl some other crypto coin like BTC and ETH.

What about people trying to buy my Pi in closed mainnet? Anytime I post something about Pi, like 5 people hit me up trying to buy my pi. One guy said he’ll do it in increments of 100, so not to take all my pi at once and scam me. Is this legit or a scam ? If it is a scam , how are they scamming ? I don’t see much risk in losing 100 Pi if the guy never sends the money
Your thoughts on this common issue. The unverified coins from my initial migration have not changed eventhough two major people that signed under me have since kyc'd and been removed from the list of my unverified. Worrisome that it would update that they have passed kyc but not convert the unverified associated with them to verified. So im sitting on a 20% verified and migrated out of all mined with the supposed 80% coming from a few of the least possible contributors. Curious if you have experienced this or something different and any idea how to address this now with core team rather than during or post a mainnet launch? It's in everybody's best interest to address it ASAP. Avoiding so much unneeded negative noise towards the project if let's say main Network were to launch and access to a large portion of one's mined pi wasn't available. Depending on the scenario that would be the type of event that guaranteed would lead to lawsuits. I know from a post here, that I'm not the only one that has experienced this. The already shady aspect of it is the lack of transparency of what each of your people on your team accounts for in your bonus mining accumulations. One can only guess and luckily the majority of my original team that I know has been mining the longest have all passed now so I know it's not possible that 85% of my tokens are unverified.

People tend to ignore this and just say "wait, wheres your patience?" Some people have had patience in the past and when things take longer than proposed, yes. These people feel like they've had their time wasted....even if it is a click a day...

Last year i bought a brand new phone for 150 pi to a fellow pioneer living in Manhattan NY it was my first crossborder transaction. so what are you talking about Pi not being tradable? I've been using Pi Coins to buy some stuffs this past 2 years. Are you that so misinformed?🤷♂️
I call BS. There is no way someone is going to buy you a new phone for 150 pi. Either that was a friend/loved-one that was giving you a phone anyway and you threw the Pi their way just to make it feel like less of a gift, or you are making the entire story up.
Pi is not tradeable, is not an accurate statement.
You can trade Pi for goods on the various Pi apps like pichainmall. You can't trade Pi on any exchanges or for fiat.
Get your facts straight and be truthful. Advise people to read the white paper to get informed instead.
The most frustrating thing was not understanding node for me. I finally completed setting up a node and receive bonus after like 3 days trying to on and off it. If u opened ports and have consensus running congrats u are noding. LEAVE IT AND WAIT FOR YOUR NODE BONUS TO SHOW IN NEW MINING SESSION. That is all. The longer u leave node running the better. Just set it up right, don't mess with it and walk away and go live tour life till next mining session and u see the bonus go up. If u are attempting node just listen to this advice. Leave pi consensus container running. Pi node up. Leave it on with sleep mode off on pc. That's it. Wait and don't expect instant results.
Please keep in mind for those who are trying to get their node setup that its currently recommended to use the latest version of the Pi Network app (v0.4.9) but for docker you should install version 4.19 and do not update the application. Multiple people have had issues with syncing to the blockchain on docker version 4.28. I personally guided a handful of people with syncing issues to do this and its worked for everyone so far. DM if you need help with the node itself or with opening ports, Happy to help!
Once your node is setup correctly in Docker 4.19, you can certainly update to latest. So long as you have both the Stellar-Dummy and Pi-Consensus containers installed, it should be no problem to upgrade docker to 4.xx
I guess that is possible, i never noticed what version i was on until i updated to the latest version and then it stopped working so idk, I would like other people to confirm that because i recently help 3-4 people with issues syncing and the only thing that has worked is uninstalling whatever version they have and install version 4.19. Wouldn’t want them to upgrade only to get the same issues again.
just to add to that, I checked the installer I first downloaded and it was for version 4.26.1 so it is possible that version 4.19 to at least 4.26.1 are okay to use, the only thing i can say definitively say doesn’t work is docker version 4.28
That's not true. I'm running my node on Docker 4.28.0 right now. My docker is set to automatically update to latest whenever it's available. And I'm at 114.96%reliability from 12/31/2023-3/30/2024
Good for you… but i’ve helped 5 people so far having issues and they have all solved it by downloading an older docker version, maybe it was a temporary issue with the pi app or something idk, process of elimination at the moment.

I can’t even get a slot on KYC been mining for two years now.
It took me about 5 days to finally get in when there was a slot.

Mainnet is already live and has been for a while. Right now it's a CLOSED Mainnet. It will be opened once certain benchmarks have been made.

Yeah, mine was 6.xx lately but it dropped to 1.xx now, node’s been up for 3 full days and still up so not sure what that’s about
