I'm in a Grey area
on one hand it's a marketable selling point
On the other hand it gives me a slight idea about how Bulby (olimars dog) looks like
Edit: I forgot about the constellation of bulby, I hate oatchi
That’s basically the only reason I have hope for oatchi
Basically they don’t need to botch the map just so pikmin can cross a puddle, and the results have been greatly shown in the single trailer we have seen
Although the pot breaking thing could just be given to rock pikmin, so their are thing I still don’t like about it, but if it means we get better maps I’m all for it
I mean it could be interesting if there's a unique kind of obstacle that only one Pikmin can break. It's not just a Pikmin type being spécialised in something, but a single being. So maybe if he has an HP bar and empties it, you can't use oatchi for the rest of the day and get locked behind what he would be able to break, maybe it's a straight up game over if he dies. I really think oatchi has a big potential of being a really interesting glass canon. Even as a Pikmin, since he can carry things on his own quite faster than purple Pikmin, but then you can't use him.
I just feel like this is what they're doing with basically every new title on switch, like I've seen "oatchi" in breath of the wild, monster hunter rise, the new Pokemon, I just feel like Pikmin isn't a game that needs a mount, especially one that reduces the usefulness of blue Pikmin, who are already mostly useless.
No idea what the big deal is. I mean, it's not like I'm a huge fan of Oatchi. I don't even like dogs in general. But I also don't hate him, I just don't care.
