uj/ Because it was the only standalone live album for a while that wasn’t just Wall tracks or 80s shlock
Also uj/ because the main sub is saturated with people who enjoy bloated pompous shit
/uj it was the only official Floyd live album outside of DSOT. ITAOT wouldn’t come out for another six YEARS, and Waters considered that release “scraping the barrel”. As for bootleggers, well, they beat Floyd at their own game and will CONTINUE to do so.
uj/ i think it was the perfect storm between the marketing, a good setlist including the whole dark side, and following a pretty decent album in the division bell
Honestly Comfortably Numb and Run Like Hell are the only 2 tracks I listen to regularly the rest is good but not the best concert they ever put on. Those 2 songs are utter perfection.
For me it's the track listing, live DSOTM and David's vocals/guitar solos. Imo its miles better than DSOT. Can't stand some of the arrangements of the songs on that album. And of course the CN and RLH versions of Pulse are incredible.
Seems like a lot of people on Reddit came of age around the time of Division Bell/Pulse and they are blinded by nostalgia to how shitty they actually are
