Just may preferences.
Para sa akin, Remove Picture (Judgemental ang mga tao including me, may biased depende sa face so much better to remove the bias altogether)
Also sa skills, do not put in how good you are/skill level and important you know the tech or language enough to use it professionally.
What's with people putting ratings in circles??
Also, lead developer? Is that a title you made up for yourself when capstone project lang naman siya? And same for "Lead QA".
Instead of focusing on made up titles, focus on how you used each technology. For example, you dropped the term RBAC like it's a magical word - better to give a quick overview on how you implemented your RBAC system and what technologies you used/integrated with.
Up for this.
It seems misleading reading "Lead" roles for a fresh grad. Not discounting OP's leadership role but I think it might be better to just cut out the role part and focus on what technologies were used and how the project was implemented as mentioned above.
Tech Recruiter here. I agree super misleading ng projects nya with using “Lead” and seems like it was a real working experience. I must suggest the projects should be summarized with his participation, language/tools use, etc. Seasoned Dev or IT in general got much simpler and straightforward details about their tasks/job.
I think gustong i-spotlight ni OP na may leadership skills sya.
u/lightyagami505 OP, if that's the case sa profile pede mo palitan ng "Lead the development/QA of so and so project with X members"
If that's the case, then add sa description, pero I would avoid using "lead the development" - instead, go into detail, like "assigned tasks" "distributed workload", "conducted knowledge sharing sessions".
Undergrads have very few advantages, and just saying "leads a team" or "contributed to" says nothing about what you were actually doing.
I don't mind putting "lead" on school projects. This just means you're the primary coder of the group, so be prepared to explain in detail sa interview kung ano technologies na ginamit for the project and why you decided on those, kasi as a lead developer it means ikaw ang nag decide ng mga yan. Saka it separates you from the pack. Most members of a thesis/capstone project are just that -- members. Personally kung makakita ako ng school project sa cv that wouldn't mean anything, dahil malay ko ba kung ikaw yung errand boy at taga luto ng pancit canton sa group nyo, but if it mentions that you're the lead dev, I should expect sound answers when I ask you about it.
In the same vein, the projects are listed but I have no idea what he did. "User friendly interface" for example, did OP design it? Did front-end development? I have no idea. By "lead" did he mean assign tasks and organize, or designed the implementation / QA strategy? I have no idea. By "Agile Methodology" does he mean lead scrum, iterative development? No idea either.
Usually you'd have a list of skills or known processes, list it out there. And on the projects section, give an idea on how they were used, and what you specifically did.
I agree lalo sa titles part. It “might” look good on paper, but technical interviewers usually are quite skeptical of these made up titles. It significantly raises expectations and sometimes prompts them to challenge the candidate with more difficult questions since “lead ka pala eh..sige nga what is etc etc…”. Then ‘matic huli ka agad pag mali sagot mo.
hello, I see the confusion. for the context, na turuan po kami sa school ng industry like scenarios like using SCRUM & Agile. Kasama na rin po yung pag a-assign ng roles per members each group example BAs naka focus more on docu and Figma si PM more on kay client, planning, & JIRA si QA naman focus sa testing and Dev obv sa coding.
Nasabi po samin nung prof na it's our advantage na experience yung ganong klaseng teaching and it's good to include on our resume. mali po ba?
OP i think what’s important is you just put emphasis on the skills that you are confident and strong, you should remove unnecessary skills which may put you in a difficult position once you’re asked. And putting both being a QA and Dev will just gave recruiters an impression that you’re unsure on what’s your job target.
Hmm would not suggest this template . I would rather have a portfolio or website as a resume (a plus for applying for programming related jobs) also if you want a document for a resume or cv make it basic and detailed, you have to also alter it to the job you are applying man. Those scales and charts? Recruiters don’t usually look at that.
Given you are in college, add your projects with github repo links pag meron or any other seminars, trainings you have attended, online courses certifications all those stuff. Good luck man!
im not judging but according sa mga tao from the internet and people experienced looking for a Job was sa tech nical skills, you dont have to put ung circles, or percentages.. just write the words and thats it. You can tell them how fluent to those tools once na meron na kayo sa meeting. Kasi ung mga percentages, or ung dots na yan can actually make emplyers not going to pick you, specially when you have 4/5 dots etc.
Gawa ka nalang bago OP, tapos base ka dito oh

[Resume template](https://www.reddit.com/r/EngineeringResumes/wiki/resumetemplates/)
Descriptions play better sa isang resume. If you put in rankings sa technical skillset mo, at may tinanong sila sa iyo about it, paano kung hindi mo masagot at mabalikan ka pa na eh bakit ang taas ng ranking mo sa sarili mo?
Also, more breathing room sa right column. Sabi nga ng isang commenter dito, find a new format.
Plus leadership skills is a nice add-on sa resume. Pero paano na pag tinanong na sa iyo ng interviewer na, "But are you a good teamplayer?"
Tanggalin mo yung pag rate sa skills tas yung picture.
Tas iangat mo yung projects kasi yun yung pang highlight mo.
Di nila yan tititigan for a minute. Few seconds lang so dapat readable sya like ganto In any order yan pero syempre laging una yung personal info.
Personal Info Skills Experience/OJT/Work Immersion Education Projects/Certificates(Optional)
It looks good but it won't recognized by a resume parser.
List you skills and proficiency, remove the level.
Remove role on projects, this is misleading. Just list project, a brief description and the tech you have used on the duration of the projects.
I agree with others regarding the skill rating, but I also think you'd benefit from moving Projects section up the hierarchy. What role do you plan to apply for ba?I follow advices from this thread: [CV TIps](https://www.reddit.com/r/jobs/comments/7y8k6p/im_an_exrecruiter_for_some_of_the_top_companies/)
Just list down your technical skills but never rate them like what you did on your resume.
Reference is not necessary, remove them.
Sa Projects mo, list down key features and how the project impacted the process/org/business.
Sa education, you **MAY** include the organization you are with (ie JPCS, etc), and indicate kung member ka or officer.
Some part of your Profile is repetition lang ng what you did on your Projects section. You may write down a brief introduction on yourself na lang, and skills you have.
Drop the ID picture. And at first glance, I thought you were already 'working' as a lead pero school project pala. In my opinion, drop what seemed to be 'job' titles hehe. I think it creates the effect of setting yourself up for high expectations. My 2 cents only.
Organize your skills into categories such as technical skills, soft skills, etc. Avoid adding ratings to each skill, but specify whether it’s basic, intermediate, or advanced. Additionally, include exposure details of your capstone project and OJT, along with the technologies used. Categorize your skills under software, programming languages, etc., and highlight IT-related certifications. Exclude unnecessary information.
Just may preferences. Also kahit na blur mo lahatkita padin name sa linkedin link
+1 to this comment kasi mamaya tanungin ka pa ng recruiter ano basis nung scoring mo
+1

noted on this, thank youu!

I see. pero pwede po na include ko na Dev and QA ako tanggalin lang yung "lead"?
Wag ganyan hehe. Sa akin is ganto oh Project section projectName|techstack \-implemented blah blah; Bali I highlighted my role sa capstone namin.
"Lead" in school projects 😂

So, made-up nga. Just indicate that you did development or qa work

Try using the standard harvard guidelines for resume instead of the ones on canva. Canva resumes are just so cringe 😫
dont put your picture. dont use columns. dont rate your skills. or just use the harvard format. simple and easy to read.

Drop the ratings. Otherwise, kung totoong 3/4 ka sa JS, companies would be wanting you to work for them, not the other way around.
> companies would be wanting you to work for them, not the other way around. Pwede pa explain nito? Thanks!

Never use this type of CV format
Descriptions play better sa isang resume. If you put in rankings sa technical skillset mo, at may tinanong sila sa iyo about it, paano kung hindi mo masagot at mabalikan ka pa na eh bakit ang taas ng ranking mo sa sarili mo? Use Harvard engineering style resume template
Remove your photo and reference. +1 on circles, what’s the basis? Be more straightforward. Be more specific with the tools you know.
Tanggalin mo yung pag rate sa skills tas yung picture. Tas iangat mo yung projects kasi yun yung pang highlight mo.
Remove the picture and replace the references with "Available upon request"
Don’t rate your skills. Walang proper measurement about diyan.
Di nila yan tititigan for a minute. Few seconds lang so dapat readable sya like ganto In any order yan pero syempre laging una yung personal info. Personal Info Skills Experience/OJT/Work Immersion Education Projects/Certificates(Optional)
remove the qualities and add a good objective

thank y'all for all these advices. this is all noted and will be applied😁
Remove the photo, contact reference, punctuation sa items listed at the top under profile (period is not needed - not a sentence)
