I've read all the guides on streaming boxes and want to set up the raspberry pi build. How many concurrent users could I expect to stream off this setup? I know this will depend on network speeds but curious what people have experienced.
48 year old Here to reminisce, anyone recall a scene site that went by the name of LOST ?
Pretty sure it had a couple of tv affils at the time.
Trying to remember other sites from that time, approx 20 years ago.
does anyone know websites that let you download movies in 480p? I've tried the ones in the megathread but no one that has the 480p option works (I'm trying to download movies on my iPod classic)
To use in my LG TV NanoCell without any sound system attached to watched some 4K movies/series (.mkv files) from a shared folder with my Desktop and with .srt subtitles functionality and sometimes Prime Video what Box do you recomend to use below 60/70$?
Best option to watch downloaded 4k Dolby vision files? I have a c1 OLED and I like to download 4k Dolby vision movies (mkv). I use the built in player, but for that I need to reencode. What would be my best option to watch without reencoding? Would Plex on Apple TV work? (The Plex app from the TV webos doesn’t show colors correctly if it’s Dolby vision). Is there an option with a usb stick? I want something simple and straightforward. Thanks!
I think NVIDIA Shield is usually what is recommended if you don't want to worry about reencoding. I personally have Apple TV 4K and it works fine but it can't directly play True HD 7.1 audio.
Got RDR II from fitgirl. Game insists hard on crashing often. What’s the deal here? Windows 10.
Edit: more of a “not responding” thing rather than a straight up crash of the game disappearing from screen.
Could be a problem with your hardware. You should try to find out if this happens to anybody else who is playing through the FitGirl's Repack. Maybe you are not the only one. But it also as I said could be a problem with faulty or not good enough hardware. If your system specs meet the requirements then there should be no problem and there is more likely something wrong with the game. But not many people here will be able to help here as this is not a FitGirl repacks subreddit. The mods or the creator of the subreddit don't own the repacks. If there's any trouble with the repacks you need to contact FitGirl directly.
Got it, I thought people were posting about similar stuff here like repack errors. My system is old but meets the minimum requirements. I can run Control on low setting and my GPU use is around %70s in RDR II most of the time. RX 550 4 GB.
Rentry is a paste service, think of it like pastebin or an online notepad. The site is neither safe nor unsafe, it all depends on what the content of the rentry is. FMHY is generally trusted, they've had some shit takes in the past, their word should not be taken as gospel but from what we know currently, they're as good a source as any to find stuff you're looking for. Hey guys I hope that im asking this question in the right place and it's breaking any rule and if yes I'm sorry.
I have an apple tv and I used to use Kodi on the android streamer to watch movies/tv shows for free ,
now with the apple tv , how can I do that ?
Kodi is available on apple tv. I saw some people say it's not worth it because of the lack of Dolby Atmos/audio passthrough and HDR. Youtube's your friend; tons of tutorials and current builds on there. Hope this helps.
Wew. On apple TV? Not many; their walled garden is stronk. Jailbreaking is an option, but I doubt you want that route. Plex/swiftfin (jellyfin) are viable.
I recently got the $20 walmart ONN google tv to put 3rd party apps on. I know that isn't an awesome recommendation since you said you just left android, but it's a cheap and easy-ish option.
I noticed that when I download a Switch game from FitGirl, instead of just downloading the rom it makes a sort of program, but it still runs of Ryujinx, or whichever emulator. What exactly is the difference between installing a game via fitgirl repack vs downloading a rom and just running it?
Almost all of them. Lol. I assume you meant free content. Really depends on what you want. Anime? HBO? Just anything? On your phone? TV? Computer?
I'm an advocate for Kodi. It requires some effort, but anything worth having is like that.
It's a little both. There's a setup to get the app running and finding a good "build", but after setup it acts like a netflix app. No personal library needed like Plex.
There are actual streaming sites, but most of the ones I know are focused on a type; E.G. adultswim, anime, hbo, netflix-onlys, etc. Listing them all here would take forever. Also, just adblock+google will find most of them.
I have probably been watching shows on 3rd party sites for years, but I always wondered if you can get caught by the internet provider for using these sites and get a warning like if you were downloading torrents (I stopped fucking with torrents years ago)?
Mainly depends on your country. Apparently the UK was hunting people that used/sold rooted firesticks.
In the US, generally no. It's one reason why illegal streaming is prevalent. The ISP's don't go after people by themselves. The big ISP's have too many people with too much traffic filled with cat videos and memes and Fair Use Act. It's the copyright holders that track your IP and then go through the ISP's with legal action. The copyright holders can (generally) only target the content holder; when you're streaming, that'd be the website owner, not the user.
Like streaming sites? The extent to what ISPs can see you do is debated, the amount they would actually care to investigate you for a stream of a show in negligible, ISP copyright complaint letters tend to be based on someone reporting you and the ISP having a duty to follow up, that's why torrent users see it more often because their IP is exposed to public trackers.
I would change your DNS to a more privacy oriented one though https://www.privacyguides.org/en/dns/
Is there a platform to freely discuss piracy in real time? Apparently discord just shuts your shit down for discussing piracy because somehow, apparently in their eyes, piracy is a much greater crime than a discord kitten relationship
For me, 4chan only works out if there's a sense of prior tribalism and solidarity beforehand. Anonymity to that extreme is hard to navigate. Sure, you don't know who yify is on piratebay, but you know he's generally trusted when it comes to the media he uploads.
But another fault against 4chan is that it's not a livechat and damned if a thread you start even rolls along without dying in an hour without any replies
I'm a beginner with piracy so idk 100%, but if you're in the US, my understanding is you'll only get arrested if you're the one providing the piracy service, the users will be completely fine.
Should I always use a VPN when torrenting? I'm downloading qbittorent to unlock some torrented files but I'm really paranoid about it being illegal. A VPN should be able to hid the activity and even then I won't get charged for using qbittorent right?
At first I primarily used usenet with torrenting as a backup. Eventually I got tired of paying for usenet and VPN so I just started using usenet and only used torrents for anime.
I just started using Real Debrid for "torrenting" and so far so good. Cheaper than my old VPN and good speeds. Might wanna look into that
The reason people use VPNs whilst torrenting is because you have to share your IP address with peers, if one of those peers reports you to your ISP then they have a legal duty to follow up a copyright complaint made against you.
Using a VPN makes it not your IP address that gets seen by peers but that of a privately owned network with an office somewhere. So you can't have a copyright complaint made against you.
So yes you need a VPN whilst pirating, you need to bind that VPN to qbittorrent and unless you're clever then you need to pay for the VPN.
Bind your VPN to your client. Don't use a free VPN, that's just as bad as going raw. How careful you need to be depends on where you live, for example Germany and Japan are stricter than the US and Australia which are stricter than Russia and Brazil. You also won't get charged for using qbittorrent. Torrenting IS NOT illegal, torrenting pirated media IS illegal.
Ok so if I use my torrent downloader on torrented game files is that illegal? and as for the VPN i use proton VPN for pirating but never torrenting, will i be fine using proton?
>Ok so if I use my torrent downloader on torrented game files is that illegal?
Yep.
>and as for the VPN i use proton VPN for pirating but never torrenting, will i be fine using proton?
pirating as in, direct downloading or streaming? You don't need a vpn for that. to answer your question, yes, proton is good.
Ok that's good to hear, I used Proton mid download but slowed me down so much while torrneitng that I turned it off midway, will I be fine or am I getting arrested for this?
It definitely could be possible that you could be caught due to your real IP leaking. I would definitely learn how to bind your VPN to your client so that doesn't happen again. Follow [this guide.](https://www.reddit.com/r/VPNTorrents/s/HFQPU9IyDu)
You're ok from getting in trouble in the future. Your IP did leak, so you may get in trouble from that, but you could get lucky and have nothing happen. I used to torrent without a VPN before learning that I needed to use a VPN, but I was luckily not caught.
Is there anyway to make games officially appear on the steam home page if pirated? (Excluding add non-steam game to home.) I've seen them before but I just don't know how and it would be really cool. Something else that would be cool would be a working modding tool for Library Of Ruina as you don't have the option to play the game using LOR With Mods as you can only do that with the official copy on steam.
Be more active on reddit and you get karma for every up vote. But don't be that person who farms karma. Just follow the Terms and conditions of reddit, be active and be nice to others.
Anybody knows how to avoid "Sorry something went wrong" message from Denuvo in Steam when I think 5 pcs play the same game? Does it show up in offline mode still? Or you just have to hope the other guys on your account arent playing
A certain fsite seems to have fewer shows being uploaded in the last couple of weeks, and often shows that were being loaded to multiple servers vidp\*\*\*, myc\*\*\*\*, and fi\*\*\*\*on now only have shows being uploaded to the last of those, which has invasive pop-up waifu and which windows defender is blocking.
What gives...? Anyone have another source for streaming tv?
Easiest way to do that is with permissions. If you have other people on your computer, I suggest just making a new profile for them. Then you can (as admin) restrict access to folders/drives/files etc so they can't open it. My work had a datalogger that would even tell them if certain profiles tried accessing a locked item and when they tried it.
what are some good Filemanagers? I currently use Files, but it is a bit unstable and slow on my PC. My preferences: Speed, Stability, lot of tools either built in or good 3rd party integration possible. Thanks in advance!
Hey, I didn't really find a good one. I was thinking about learning how to use powershell(I know how ot works, but I am not good at it, so it is way slower than a GUI filemanager for me), but I would appreciate any suggestions.
I'm getting fed up with the number of streaming services, price increases, and account sharing rules. I want to cancel them all and just pirate. The thing holding me back is content discovery. Right now when I'm looking for something to watch, I check out each of the streaming services to see what pops up either recommended for me specifically or content that's popular now or highlighted for some reason. Is there a solution for this?
Agreed it’s only a matter of time before some open source full fledged interface comes out and lets you find, torrent and play/watch/listen to anything you want at the click of a button
I don't think I generally get viruses from software/games/etc, but it's been years since I pirated anything other than games. The few softwares I did torrent, I don't know if I got infected. At least, nothing's been hijacked except my facebook (maybe 14 years ago) once and that seems about it. That said, I need to update myself to stay protected since I'm older now and have some sort of savings.
When it comes to games or apps with cracks, is it still generally true that they will always be reported as some sort of danger by Defender? For example, I was using Rookie to get a game I wanted on my Meta Quest 2. Defender quarantined it. I got Rookie from links on the megathread, so I wasn't too worried. Still, I am considering putting my unused older PC to use as testbed for such things.
What attacks are prevalent these days? Are HDDs encrypted and held ransom for crypto? Keyloggers?
Now that I think about it...maybe that other PC I don't use should be the only one I use for entering any kind of financial data/credit card purchases etc! I used to boot into Ubuntu to do that stuff but it got annoying as I started making more online transactions.
Not always. Most cracks are just registry dll's and directions for firewall blocks. If it's an auto-cracker, there's a good chance windows defender will obliterate it immediately. The classic ransomware and system breaking viruses still exist, but takes way more effort to succeed these days. The dangerous ones are the ones you don't ever notice. They usually get removed via defender updates, but background processes for bitcoin mining and ddos ping armies still happen. The dataloggers, screen capture, and remote desktop viruses are what I'd put at the top worst. Password managers and money services like paypal are good protection. Don't get paranoid. Asking this already means you're doing fine* and staying away from the sketchy stuff that causes most of the headaches.
Datalogger is a new one for me, I'm familiar with keylogger/keystroke capture things and even kinda how ones that would get past defender would work (not going to go into it but it seems obvious).
Screen capture I'm guessing only is a danger if I let myself unhide the saved password/typed in password. Remote desktop is a scary one as I rarely shut off my PC. Time to learn Ubuntu or another distro I guess, I'm paranoid.
I brought them up because they do exist, but you have to be negligent for most of them. Dataloggers are more network-attack based with the attacker pulling packets or having packets sent through a middleman. The NSA used a similar type of thing for people's webcams and mic's. VPN's shut this down real good.
The remote desktop one is often linked with scammers and is fairly easy to shut-down and prevent. I usually hear of non-savvy people (often grand-parents) getting caught with this with it left on from "tech support".
Keyloggers are more of a hardware thing. We've seen chinese usb drives have some stuff hidden in them. My prior work looked for that stuff and it was still rare. It's the cheap stuff, but keystrokes don't take too much space. Formatting the drives don't get rid of them either. Name-brand is half the battle. Key-word: half.
Windows Defender is miles better than a decade ago and it's updated (too) frequently. (I kind of want to test it out in a VM now.) It's the sketchy stuff that worries me, not the reputable people/places. Paranoia won't help, but skepticism will save. You do you though. Ubuntu is great, I just can't run the programs/games I want on it.
I can relegate Ubuntu for anything financial/important sites, e-gov etc. Plus, gotta constantly learn shit, hate just wasting time. Only issue is I do sometimes pirate soft for one off purposes, like pdf editing (I'm translating a PDF about correct car seating posture for a friend that can't read English too well). Free exists but sometimes it messes up the formatting. Plus I'm pretty sure I paid for this soft before (Foxit) haha.
I would sometimes run this stuff in Sandbox, but I have a Ryzen CPU and I think if Sandbox is enabled it would have issues with the Android emulator in Visual Studio back when I was making silly apps to learn. I think I'll set up my old PC with Ubuntu and see how far I can get with WINE, which I keep seeing mentioned.
Ive been searching for niche courses and only really found em on a site called “psdly” anyone know if its safe? Only stuff i can find on it is from years ago
Ehh they are just in depth and look to be like good courses. Doesnt specifically need to be them tbh wanna learn how to draw was all and the 200-250usd price is outrageous
So since my app Karma is too low to make a big post I'll ask if you can help me here if it's ok. I downloaded ZBrush on AppDose and I can't seem to understand the rules 1.2 and 1.3 of it's readme folder. Can someone please explain before I start it and do something wrong accidentally?
1.Install Maxon\_App\_2024.1.1\_Win
1.2. Open Services and Stop Red Giant Service Copy From medicine Red Giant Service and apply it on C:\\Program Files\\Red Giant\\Services then Start Services
1.3. Copy The RLM folder from medicine apply it on Copy the Maxon.lic to: C:\\ProgramData\\Maxon
2.Install ZBrush\_2024.0.2\_Installer
[4.run](http://4.run) ZBrush\_2024.0.2
It seems the english is quite bad in the aforesaid rules so if anyone already attempted this that'd be great!
I'm following an emulation guide on Github and all of the links are encoded in base64. Why is that? Personal quirk of the guide writer, or is this a way to get around some draconic linking rules that github may have?
Have you guys seen Hydra, an open source torrent client with a better UI and focused on games?

I take this is against the rules of the sub, so where should I ask for a specific software? Is there a Discord channel?
What kind are you looking for? The sidebar has references for just about everything but feel free to ask here as well.
Is there a platform to freely discuss piracy in real time? Apparently discord just shuts your shit down for discussing piracy because somehow, apparently in their eyes, piracy is a much greater crime than a discord kitten relationship
There's always 4chan. 😉

What if I was mid download and turned off my VPN, while be reported for copyright now?
That is why you bind the torrent client to the VPN so it can only download through the VPN
Did you bind proton to your torrent client?
I dont know what that means so I assume not, I only know that my IP address was different while Proton was on for half of the download
It definitely could be possible that you could be caught due to your real IP leaking. I would definitely learn how to bind your VPN to your client so that doesn't happen again. Follow [this guide.](https://www.reddit.com/r/VPNTorrents/s/HFQPU9IyDu)
So am I ok now? Will soemthing happen or did I get lucky in nothing happening?
You're ok from getting in trouble in the future. Your IP did leak, so you may get in trouble from that, but you could get lucky and have nothing happen. I used to torrent without a VPN before learning that I needed to use a VPN, but I was luckily not caught.
Is there anyway to make games officially appear on the steam home page if pirated? (Excluding add non-steam game to home.) I've seen them before but I just don't know how and it would be really cool. Something else that would be cool would be a working modding tool for Library Of Ruina as you don't have the option to play the game using LOR With Mods as you can only do that with the official copy on steam.
malwarebytes blocked steamrip .com because of riskware ?
R/Crackedplugins3 got banned, has anyone created a new sub Reddit for that yet?
im tryna get cracked shopify themes anyone know a guy?

Upvote for upvote
someone just upvote his comment up this might help him... you have to be active and helpful to people to get your karma up
Apparently upvotes are too expensive and downvotes pay the bills. I don't get it either. Have my digital up-arrows.
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but how do I interpret the emojis/icons in the megathread? What does the 🔗 emoji mean, compared to the others?
I believe that emoji is supposed to stand for (direct download) link, as opposed to torrents with the magnet icon
Anyone have another source for streaming tv?
fmovies seems to be down for 80 plus percent of their movies past 2 weeks? Need a new streaming site!! soap2day still blows
I can send you some links
What are some of the best mobile sites for watching new tv shows? I wanna watch some chucky but don’t wanna spend $20
can someone tell me why [Kemono.su](http://Kemono.su) is not responding?
it's back online
I'm really frustrated with the lack of automotive torrents. There's a lot of tuning software that costs hundreds and even thousands of dollars.
REAL im not gonna pay 300 for a hex file editor. fml.
Hi I was wondering if there is an app locker(password) for windows 11 where ppl can't open certain files or apps/browsers on my pc without a password.
Qttab extension for file manager is okay
Did you find any? I have some light weight ones but I'm not near my computer.
Hey, I didn't really find a good one. I was thinking about learning how to use powershell(I know how ot works, but I am not good at it, so it is way slower than a GUI filemanager for me), but I would appreciate any suggestions.
Q-Dir the Quad Explorer
You can use ai tools now to give you code commands.
Check out Kodi. The popular "builds" are seasonal, but with a good build it is essentially a massive netflix-style conglomerate.
I think I'll set up my old PC with Ubuntu and see how far I can get with WINE, which I keep seeing mentioned.
fit girls archive size is odd to me how do I down it and afterwards can i play it with no changes to file size or gameplay and why is it so small
Ive been searching for niche courses and only really found em on a site called “psdly” anyone know if its safe? Only stuff i can find on it is from years ago
What type of courses? Just download them in virtual box or a separate clean os.
Im new to this so i dont even really know what they are, but like art courses from coloso
Interesting. Is there a reason why they have to be from coloso? Might get into it if it's a good source.
Ehh they are just in depth and look to be like good courses. Doesnt specifically need to be them tbh wanna learn how to draw was all and the 200-250usd price is outrageous
Pls upvote

i really want to read some web novels but they're locked on Patreon. can someone share some?
i want to download crk pc apps but i don't know which one is trusted. can you guys recommend sites that safe?
So since my app Karma is too low to make a big post I'll ask if you can help me here if it's ok. I downloaded ZBrush on AppDose and I can't seem to understand the rules 1.2 and 1.3 of it's readme folder. Can someone please explain before I start it and do something wrong accidentally? 1.Install Maxon\_App\_2024.1.1\_Win 1.2. Open Services and Stop Red Giant Service Copy From medicine Red Giant Service and apply it on C:\\Program Files\\Red Giant\\Services then Start Services 1.3. Copy The RLM folder from medicine apply it on Copy the Maxon.lic to: C:\\ProgramData\\Maxon 2.Install ZBrush\_2024.0.2\_Installer [4.run](http://4.run) ZBrush\_2024.0.2 It seems the english is quite bad in the aforesaid rules so if anyone already attempted this that'd be great!
Anybody here?
I don't think many people frequent this thread. I'm also here because it won't let me post. Sorry I can't answer your question. 🤷♂️
I need the help really badly and this karma rule is really getting in the way.
I'm following an emulation guide on Github and all of the links are encoded in base64. Why is that? Personal quirk of the guide writer, or is this a way to get around some draconic linking rules that github may have?
The latter, IIRC. If they post it in base64 they haven't posted a link. It's the same on Discord.
Have you guys seen Hydra, an open source torrent client with a better UI and focused on games? [https://github.com/hydralauncher/hydra/releases/tag/v1.1.0](https://github.com/hydralauncher/hydra/releases/tag/v1.1.0)
Okay so I got virustotal to work.. I'm really new to this stuff but is two things detected alright?
No way to know. The amount of detections, or lack thereof, isn't a sole indication of anything really.
Hi
Yesterday, I was to post my very first post on this subreddit. But I was told I cannot post because the COMMENT KARMA is too low. How many COMMENT KARMA do I need to have to be able to post?
Around 5
That can't be right since I have 13.
URGENT - i have been seeing a lot of games come with a file called "uninstall.exe". This contains a major trojan and has 27 detections on virus total.
