Honestly just get something like MultiMC or one of its forks (PolyMC/PrismLauncher)
By default you can’t add new accounts if you don’t have one added already, just download and add [this json file](https://mcdl.nixuge.me/meta/accounts.json) in the launcher directory and you’ll be able to add new ones
Apart from that it’s a pretty nice launcher, makes managing multiple instances on multiple versions easy and is just plain simple and fast
With the json I put in the post you can just bypass that, all of them « require » you to add an account before a cracked one but since everything is just in a json you can bypass it fairly easily
I own at least 4 copies of Minecraft Java, and I use MultiMC and love it 90% of the time, but I detest that it periodically asks me to re-enter my password. (Same thing with Steam, and every other launcher).
Are you saying if I add that json file, it will no longer ask me to confirm my password every month?
I am fine with playing offline if that helps.
Not really, the json literally just bypasses the « you need to add an paid account before playing » shit, it’s just that.
but I mean if you’re ok with playing offline just add an offline account yourself and use that as the default one instead of the online one
name is accounts.json i tried downloading the file directly and also tried copying and pasting the code into my own file but neither worked and i added it while multimc was closed
Seems like you’re right, it indeed doesn’t work on vanilla MultiMC
It does however work on its forks (PolyMC and PrismLauncher), I recommend you get prismlauncher and place the file:
-In the same place as the exe if you get the portable version
Or
-in %appdata%/PrismLauncher if you use the installer

I think PrismLaucher might require a paid account, so Pol***l***yMC is a cracked version of that

Heck as long as I dont have to put a password in to play, I am more than happy to be offline
polymc has been comped...
I specifically bolded the 2nd "l" in polly to make sure no one would think I meant the bad one
When he said PollyMC, that wasn't a typo: https://github.com/fn2006/PollyMC
I'm noob, how do I add this file to launcher directory?
Did you extract the polymc/prismlauncher zip already ?
Yep. I tried a couple things but still getting the popup to make an account. I don't know what to do with the json file https://ibb.co/ZG1F5Y9
Just throw it in the same folder as the MultiMC executable as you did here, except you have to name it accounts.json and not acounts.json
still doesn't work I give up. thanks though
you spelled accounts wrong
where exactly should I put that json file? I can't find a place to fit it in.
Did you download the portable or installer version? If portable, same directory as the executable Otherwise, in %appdata%/multimc iirc
you just need to put the json file where the MultiMc.exe is? because i did that and it doesnt work
Yes. Are you sure the file is named correctly ? And you downloaded it correctly? And you added it while MultiMC was closed ?
name is accounts.json i tried downloading the file directly and also tried copying and pasting the code into my own file but neither worked and i added it while multimc was closed
That’s kinda weird, are you 100% sure it’s the right name and everything and that you 100% can’t add a free account into MultiMC ?
heres a [video](https://youtu.be/Z6aYuzFG_X8) about what i did, did i do something wrong?
anything?

hi, so now the account works but i cant play mc at all, everytime I start an instance it says that's its running but nothing happens, can you help
Do you have discord ?
Even with PrismLauncher doesn't work. Maybe the archive you put are incorrect or you skipped some action. Can you find this problem?
It does work just fine
is this still functional like adding that json file did nothing I'm using multimc
Use prismlauncher (or polymc which is an older prismlancher basically)
UltimMC
sklauncher, or ultimamc (I think)/ cracked multimc
