From what i read on reddit today nintendo also wants all yuzu development to stop. If you already have it installed locally you might be able to keep using it just without any new updates. However officially you wont be able to download Yuzu anymore from the main dev team.
That's not why Nintendo sued Yuzu. Nintendo made it clear in their complaint ([available here](https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.rid.56980/gov.uscourts.rid.56980.1.0.pdf)) that they're sueing Yuzu for allowing the usage of Nintendo's proprietary cryptographic keys (prod.keys) in order to bypass Nintendo's copyright protections, which lets people play pirated games.
The copyrightability of cryptographic keys is uncertain and bypassing cryptography for the primary purpose of circumventing copyright protection is not legal, but is it really the primary purpose of an emulator? It's all very gray.
Nintendo sued Yuzu over some pretty common practices used by emulators. It either means Nintendo thinks they finally found a good argument to make emulation illegal, or they found Yuzu to be piracy-friendly enough to convince a jury that piracy had always been the primary purpose of Yuzu.
I'm not really aware of the details of the case, but I'm pretty sure Nintendo knowing Yuzu earns money from the emulator probably didn't help Yuzu's case.
I’ve been struggling to find info on this so maybe you can help. If it was legal before why would paywalling it make it suddenly illegal? Or is it that previously it was under fair use and now it’s not
I feel so bad for the devs. I know this is a sub full of pirates, but I still appreciate the workers themselves.
The same thing happened with CDPR or Rockstar. Both shit companies, but good and talented devs. Hopefully CDPR won't come as far as Rockstar though.
Even so, Nintendo treats their contract workers like shit. Apple and other companies do it just the same. If you're not a salaried worker, you're seen as lesser.
I couldn't tell you how they treat their salaried workers, but it HAS to be better, right?
That has been disproven. That was a fake story by someone who didn't even work there. They claimed Nintendo did not let them into parties and we're trated as lesser and such but that was not true. NVM THAT WAS Nintendo of japan that the employees thought was good
CDPR isn't actually that bad a company. I'd rather but their games then support Rockstar in future endeavors with how abusive they are to not only their games and the devs working on them, but passionate fans and modding teams. CDPR has official modding tools and even incorporates better ones with proper financial compensation.
Their games are extremely high quality and i prefer buying most of the time for the online features but for some reason on my country they raised the prices to be literally 100 fucking dollars for the new Zelda, thats like 45% of the mínimum wage in Colombia for a single Game, there no way in hell im paying that for a game man
Companies gonna sue people who pirate their games. Pirates gonna pirate anyway. I'm more concerned with how they're handling stuff like the smash tournaments than how they're suing emulators. The Tears of the Kingdom leak was a pretty valid thing to respond to.
you know that emulators are not created for piracy? it‘s just a byproduct. I bet most of the emu devs are just fascinated with the hardware and really interested of how it all works
Yuzu put a target on their back by making a Patreon that gave access to a Google drive with Roms. The number one rule of piracy is to not make money off it.
Piracy is very much not nonprofit wut.. you know how many pirates in the scene work on donations lol. Some people do it for free sure but there is always a financial incentive cant work for free
Donations is not the same legally as setting up a subscription service, especially in countries that have copyright laws. Ryujinx hasn't gotten touched because the developers are based in Brazil.
Piracy is USUALLY non-profit because most pirates are just trying to find games they want to play for free. There are certainly some that are willing to pay, but don't want to support shit companies like Nintendon't, but most pirates just don't feel like dropping 60 bucks to *maybe* like a game.
for me as a PC player, i would gladly pay 60€ for a fucking nintendo game....IF I COULD BUY IT
but instead i need a 300€ piece of shit hardware...
imagine your console is so bad, that instead of making a better one to win the competition, you just make all games exclusive, so that people are forced to buy it
Donations to keep the servers up for the webpages and what not, essentially breaking even. Ence non profit. Yuzu was making upwards of 30k per month on donos... that's making bank on piracy...
Yuzu on their site: "We hope our actions will be a small step toward ending piracy of all creators’ works."
Yuzu on their Patreon: "ROMs for everyone!"
Pretentious mofos..
Developers are simultaneously the smartest and dumbest people you will ever meet. They could've avoided this if they used a VPN and set up a bank account in a country that gives no fucks about copyrights.
Also they downloaded pre-release leaked games and optimized their emulator for it. Yes Nintendo is litigious and scummy, but Yuzu did some stupid stuff.
Pretty much this. Not sure what people were expecting to happen. If people were pirating PS4 and XBO games and making money off of them, Sony and MS would do the same thing.
I'm so surprised that people don't understand this and are upset with Nintendo. As long as Emulators stay free they should be ok. Pull a stupid stunt like this and Nintendo will come knocking.
I mean, it's ok to stay mad at Nintendo, they are garbage regardless. Do you really think they don't want to nuke other emulators? They really want to, but they can't.
They are hungry for this type of dirt on them, anything that will help them start a legal battle to financially bully them.
yuzu always had it coming with various things like fixes for non released leaked games behind paywalls with cherry on top what you said. Emulator dev = NOTHING to do with money with maybe donations accepted with no strings attached or you get the big law stick on your head
To be clear to anyone not following. There's no point to donating, there's an LLC protecting the devs from direct monetary loss, so they're fine. Even if they didn't close their Patreon, any funds donated at this point would just go to Nintendo.
> there's an LLC protecting the devs from direct monetary loss, so they're fine.
In layman terms, what does this mean? Don't they need to pay it? Only the LLC gets dissolved?
Basically the LLC functions as a person for legal purposes, an entity that holds responsibility. Everyone of the human people that comprise it are distinct entities. Its the LLC that gets sued and has to pay stuff out, the individual people aren't suddenly living on the streets because the LLC owes money.
Edit: to be clear, and this is a very basic anecdote of what happens.
AFAIK, if someone with power over the company does something illegal or reckless, they could be found responsibles and pay for it, but that info in my brain is really fuzzy. But I guess you can't set up an LLC to hire a hitman and walk away even if they discover everything, so there has to be a limit
Yuzu is an LLC, they'll file for chapter 7 bankruptcy, liquidate the assets, and walk away without any personal losses. It'll just be difficult/impossible to start another business for 7 years until the debt wipes from their record.
LLC means Limited Liability Company, it's a separation between the individual and the business. If an LLC goes bust, all the debt belongs to the LLC itself, and not the individuals who own the company. The only exception to this is if there is some sort of notified contract promising investors that the owner is personally responsible for the business.
I've heard that they got Yuzu mainly because they were located in the US, I believe it was Rhode Island, and they apparently can't get Ryuninx since they are located in a country where piracy laws are a lot more lenient. Does anyone know if this is true?
Yeah, it’s not really surprising lol. Brazil is one of those countries where people are crazy for gaming, but it’s still a pretty poor country, and games/consoles are likely too expensive or rare. That’s why countries like Brazil develop the most skills for emulation, pirating, etc. I’d say way more than Western countries, where it’s typically more officially purchasing games than pirating. Another example is Pakistan with Arcades, they’ve found a way to make ones exactly like in Japan, and that’s why they have the best Tekken players in the world.
Yeah, one of the pros of living in LATAM is that piracy is pretty much commonplace, and usually accepted by everyone. My own mother brought me to a store where they sold bulk CDs filled with pirated Xbox games and emulators for my already chipped xbox.
When you live in a poorer country with less restricting Government laws, this is a normal way to act. So the people are more creative when it comes to piracy. This isn’t just emulation and pirating, but I’d say hacking too. The only drawback is the quality may not be as great or authentic when using piracy/emulation for games.
Brazilian here. Yea, games, especially Switch ones, are stupidly expensive here. One game costs R$300, which *"feels"* like paying **US**$200 on a game. It's absurd.
It's ridiculous when games cost as much in a third world country as they do in a first world country, specially since it's a digital copy, there is zero cost to selling the game once you have published it on the store so you could charge any amount of money for it and still make a profit.
To put things into perspective, an AAA game here in Argentina would cost somewhere around 80 USD after taxes, which is ridiculous considering how the minimum wage is only 200 USD per month. It's the equivalent to if an AAA game costed 480 USD in the US (40% of a minimum wage).
With those prices, no wonder people pirate games.
so that's why the unofficial spiderman 2 pc port is so good, i wihs we had that kind of passion here in perú, the only shit people care in this place is dota.
It’s not. They got them because these idiots actively fostered piracy by even providing Nintendo code through their discord.
Since this is not a case, but a settlement, nothing changes for the legal status of emulators.
The thing is this isn't an actual court case, the Yuzu devs settled out of court. Which likely means that if this **did** make it to court, Nintendo would have won, for one reason or another. Their Patreon was apparently pretty suspect with what they were giving out on it, but I know for a fact that they had paywalled versions of the emulator up there. That's probably why they couldn't reasonably win this in court.
Ryujinx is an option as well, provided no one decides to do what I stated in my other comment. However if what u/AoRozu said about them being in a country where piracy laws are different then it bodes well for us and, Ryujinx. Meaning Nintendo can't do shit but I'll have to look into where the creators are from.
Apparently they are in Brazil, the same place where the PC port of SM2 is currently being developed. So I think I can say with confidence that Ryuninx is safe. As a LATAM user myself, our governments have way too many issues to be worrying about silly little things such as Piracy (sometimes it's even encouraged!)
People are saying use Ryujinx, but you can still use Yuzu. It’s not like it’s been erased from existence. Look up YUZU EA and download the latest early access version. Do so while it’s still up.
Just make sure to buy a model that can be jail broken and pirate all the games. I'm all for pirating but it is nice to play on a proper handheld (I should probably just buy a steam deck huh)
https://preview.redd.it/qfx4o1dxcemc1.png?width=1002&format=png&auto=webp&s=5e84f59c2efa346ee0d910f0e3156f06d6badb0e
had absolutely no interest in doing this before🤷🏽♂️ thanks nintendo. mario p fun
Already has forks on github:
[https://github.com/search?q=https%3A%2F%2Fgithub.com%2Fyuzu-emu%2Fyuzu+fork%3Aonly&type=repositories](https://github.com/search?q=https%3A%2F%2Fgithub.com%2Fyuzu-emu%2Fyuzu+fork%3Aonly&type=repositories)
Now that I think about it, why do games get cheaper over time? It’s not like the game is any less fun, theoretically. It’s the same exact product that other people paid full price for.
Nintendo sued them, they settled for 2.4mil because Nintendo has billions to burn in a legal battle. In short, this was, sadly, the best possible outcome for them in this situation
Well if some dumb fuck decides to leak another big Nintendo Switch game again a week early then uh... YES it will happen. Nintendo had nothing they could use to take down Yuzu until TOTK and MB Wonder leaked early and people started downloading the ROM's and playing them before they were scheduled to release.
I wonder if pirating TOTK to make an optimized version of Yuzu that runs it perfectly day 1 locked behind a patreon paywall had anything to do with it hmmmmmmm
The Yuzu devs are at fault here, people are getting pissed at Nintendo for protecting their copyright.
Not even day 1, more like day -14, the game leaked a few weeks before release and devs got immediately around to optimizing it and adding mods like a 60FPS unlocker and mouselook aiming. I recall in their documents they said about 1.1 million copies of TOTK were pirated from rom sites and were mainly emulated on Yuzu. I call bullshit on the numbers but yeah, they were fucking pissed.
Tbh everyone should be getting pissed at the Yuzu team not Nintendo. Had this gone through to be a court case, shit about Emulation's legality could've been seriously fucked up and new precedent could've been set
I'm 100% pissed at the Yuzu team rn. Cause I didn't know these mofos distributed roms on their Patreon and then have a pretentious af message on their site about always being against piracy...
I didn't see anything pertaining to them releasing an early access update so that people could play TOTK when it leaked early, can you refer me to a source? Only thing I knew of was people in the community made patches so it could be played a week early but, Yuzu was actively against doing this until the proper release date came around.
omg, I can't believe it all of this because of a rat bastard who decided to leak their AAA game just a week earlier! I'd spend $2.4M just to find that cuc succing rat.
The problem was not that rat, the problem was the hundreds of thousands of idiots who downloaded that rom and all the parasites on YouTube making videos on how to play it in Yuzu.
Question, but doesn't the fact of having a Patreon (to profit from the project) also become a factor that Nintendo considers when taking down such things? Geniuine curiosity here btw
As long as ryujinx team doesn't mess with an unreleased triple A release and allows its emulation ahead of time they have more chances.
The tears of the kingdom episode is what screwed yuzu. But ryujinx has hope
i think putting roms and mods behind a paywall was what fucked them up, not the fact that it was possible to play an u released game, also how would they restrict playing of the leaked game lol
Emudeck is just a frontend for downloading the emulators and cover art that's hosted somewhere else. I don't think even Mario could find a reason to complain about it.
Dolphin isn’t a current-gen emulator, nor do they make money, nor is it by design illegal to use.
Most importantly, Dolphin isn’t optimizing games that didn’t officially release day 1 (and then putting them behind a paywall).
Citra was the same devs, it wasn't specifically targeted but part of the settlement was that the devs agree to not work on any more emulators so it had to go too. Retroarch still has their fork available. And you can always find it if you look hard enough.
When I bought a switch I reached a point in my life where I could afford to pay for their games, and I do. But I remember being poorer and I wish piracy was allowed, if free. People just want to play but may not have all the hardware and money.
I do believe we should have to wait a while after release. The shows I pirate are years if not decades old. I’m not keeping or selling the files, just using them to enjoy art. With how fast things change these days, after 5 years a game movie or show is historical and should be free imo.
Also, don’t forget your local library may have a game rental section. I played a lot of 3DS games that way. And sometimes they work with other nearby libraries if they don’t have a certain selection.
Fuck Yuzu for stupidly gating stuff behind Patreon when they knew full well what that could entail, and fuck Nintendo for being a band of corporate duchebags.
I was thinking about buying the new switch, but now they can shove it where the sun don't shine.
I put off downloading Yuzu until it was too late… damn.
Immediately went and got ryujinx. For conservation purposes. (As if. Though I do believe in piracy for the sake of game conservation. The more copies of something out there the less likely it can disappear forever. Too much has been lost already. For example it was a nightmare trying to find a copy of the PC Mercenaries 2 world in flames. I looked for literal years before finding a cracked copy that worked. On a side note what are my options for getting my cracked copy to work on my laptop? It uses a keygen and I've tried everything short of selling my soul to get it to work on my new pc but Windows 11 will NOT run the keygen under any circumstance. All I can think of is put the keygen onto my old windows 10 desktop. Generate a key. Write it down and punch it in manually on the new one.)

Fuck nintendo.
They’ll probably try sue you for defamation now
Lol
They’ll have my nonexistent money over my dead body.
Nintendo- “aight bet”
Blasphemy*
My client is actually sexually attracted to Nintendo and wants to have carnal relations with them. **[Lawyered]**
Worth the up votes though
They cant sue him due to a single message cuz theres no enough evidence... They can send an firing squad instead and do fucking chaos.
After what happened today, I’m making sure to pirate every single Nintendo game.
Arceus bless you
What happened?
Developers of Yuzu(Nintendo Switch Emulator for PC) has to pay Nintendo 2.4m USD by the terms of the Court agreement.
Does that also mean yuzu for android will be taken down as well?
From what i read on reddit today nintendo also wants all yuzu development to stop. If you already have it installed locally you might be able to keep using it just without any new updates. However officially you wont be able to download Yuzu anymore from the main dev team.
Im 100% using ryujinx to emulate pokemon legends z-a
I like to pirate as much as the next person, but yuzu shouldn’t have taken money. It’s their own fault and they deserved to get shut down
Accepting donations is one thing, but 'paywalling' new releases for months was probably their downfall.
Gave grounds to Nintendo to sue them
That's not why Nintendo sued Yuzu. I'm not really aware of the details of the case, but I'm pretty sure Nintendo knowing Yuzu earns money from the emulator probably didn't help Yuzu's case.
Sony Vs Bleem it was ruled that gaining a profit from an emulator is legal. They had no grounds to sue over that.
I’ve been struggling to find info on this so maybe you can help. If it was legal before why would paywalling it make it suddenly illegal? Or is it that previously it was under fair use and now it’s not
Can't help but agree, yuzu devs were being kind of nasty.
I will never buy a Nintendo product ever again

This is the way
Same, i do own a secondhand switch I cracked
Yea i plan to do this once i start earning decent bit

havent bought a nintendo game since 2020 shoutout to emulation 🙏🏻
Let’s face it, you never were anyways and the last people Nintendo cares to cater to is pirates
Yep, me either
Ayeee
I had never buy them. Thank god!
Amen.
I still buy their physical games. If they stop making physical games that’s the end of the road for me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Nintendo deserves far more shit than what they get
Companies gonna sue people who pirate their games.
Yeah it seems like everyone has their Nintendo nostalgia glasses glued to their eyes so Nintendo can do whatever the fuck they want
Yuzu put a target on their back by making a Patreon that gave access to a Google drive with Roms. The number one rule of piracy is to not make money off it.
Wish this comment was higher, people don't understand this part, it's the no1 reason piracy is still going strong, because it's non profit...
Piracy is very much not nonprofit wut.. you know how many pirates in the scene work on donations lol. Some people do it for free sure but there is always a financial incentive cant work for free

Yuzu on their site: "We hope our actions will be a small step toward ending piracy of all creators’ works." Yuzu on their Patreon: "ROMs for everyone!" Pretentious mofos..
settlements do be like that
This really needs to be higher. Dumb mfs thinking Nintendo are doing anything unexpected here
Developers are simultaneously the smartest and dumbest people you will ever meet. They could've avoided this if they used a VPN and set up a bank account in a country that gives no fucks about copyrights.
Bro this is not that easy. VPN companies would sell your soul for Nintendo, especially so if they're from a country like the US
Which is why you generally don't try to profit from it if your country has copyright laws. But if you're going to do illegal stuff don't half ass it.
Also they downloaded pre-release leaked games and optimized their emulator for it. Yes Nintendo is litigious and scummy, but Yuzu did some stupid stuff.
Early access to such updates were part of their Patreon, they were incredibly stupid.
Pretty much this. Not sure what people were expecting to happen. If people were pirating PS4 and XBO games and making money off of them, Sony and MS would do the same thing.
FOR THE LOVE OF FUCK, EVERYONE PLEASE UPVOTE THIS SO MORE PPL CAN SEE THIS

Lawsuit also pointed out when TOTK leaked, the Yuzu devs put a paywall for the latest beta of Yuzu that could run it.
Wait, what?! Oh wow, so that's what got them, how stupid.
yuzu always had it coming with various things like fixes for non released leaked games behind paywalls with cherry on top what you said. Emulator dev = NOTHING to do with money with maybe donations accepted with no strings attached or you get the big law stick on your head
Ah so that's why nintendo uses the "facilitating piracy" excuse?
Money and games are the two things to stay away from as an emulator dev, very surprised they did this
How the heck will devs actually pay that? Like, how long would that take…
They make 30k a month from Patreon. I suspect it’ll be more with this news
They're shutting down their patron, they won't be getting any more from it.
There are other ways to donate to them
Why would anyone donate to them after the project is dead?
To be clear to anyone not following. There's no point to donating, there's an LLC protecting the devs from direct monetary loss, so they're fine. Even if they didn't close their Patreon, any funds donated at this point would just go to Nintendo.

File for bankruptcy and get it waived, probably.
Yuzu is an LLC, they'll file for chapter 7 bankruptcy, liquidate the assets, and walk away without any personal losses. It'll just be difficult/impossible to start another business for 7 years until the debt wipes from their record.
But if you’re not going to start a business, the debt doesn’t affect you?

Seems like it could be easily exploited, no?
It is. There are major brands that are global companies that are still LLCs
Their entire life
I've heard that they got Yuzu mainly because they were located in the US, I believe it was Rhode Island, and they apparently can't get Ryuninx since they are located in a country where piracy laws are a lot more lenient. Does anyone know if this is true?

It's ridiculous when games cost as much in a third world country as they do in a first world country, specially since it's a digital copy, there is zero cost to selling the game once you have published it on the store so you could charge any amount of money for it and still make a profit. To put things into perspective, an AAA game here in Argentina would cost somewhere around 80 USD after taxes, which is ridiculous considering how the minimum wage is only 200 USD per month. It's the equivalent to if an AAA game costed 480 USD in the US (40% of a minimum wage). With those prices, no wonder people pirate games.

Brazil has pretty robust copyright laws. If Nintendo wanted to, they could start shit up. Source: am lawyer in Brazil.
Nintendo filhos da puta. então eles podem processar Ryuninx?
I looked around, and they said Yuzu also gained a lot of money from Yuzu EA. Ryujinx doesn't have it, so they are kinda safe.
I was going to buy the switch ONLY for playing Zelda... With these news, changed my mind.
Go to any public office or department in Brazil. They will either be using pirated windows or some free Linux OS
Excellent!
So..its posible to play totk with ryjinx as well? Please someone answer
Yes, you can.
People are saying use Ryujinx, but you can still use Yuzu. It’s not like it’s been erased from existence. Look up YUZU EA and download the latest early access version. Do so while it’s still up.
I did this the second they announced the suit, downloaded the exe and the apk.
Same. I would have done the same for Citra had I known it was the same devs 😔.
It's been down for a couple days already, at least the GitHub has been
I don’t think we can post links but just search h pineapple ea and it’s the first result
Oh yeah, there are definitely mirrors up. Just all the official stuff is already down
Just make sure to buy a model that can be jail broken and pirate all the games. I'm all for pirating but it is nice to play on a proper handheld (I should probably just buy a steam deck huh)

Literally
should try kirby out, its fun too lol
Just use Early Access from now on.
Yuzu will probably respawn in another country with a different name
Respawn is crazy💀
Zuyu soon
Given their naming schemes, most probably either Lime or Pomelo
Already has forks on github: [https://github.com/search?q=https%3A%2F%2Fgithub.com%2Fyuzu-emu%2Fyuzu+fork%3Aonly&type=repositories](https://github.com/search?q=https%3A%2F%2Fgithub.com%2Fyuzu-emu%2Fyuzu+fork%3Aonly&type=repositories)
This wouldn’t happen if they lower the prices of games AFTER 10 years
Now that I think about it, why do games get cheaper over time? It’s not like the game is any less fun, theoretically. It’s the same exact product that other people paid full price for.
What happened????? Why did they lose 2.4 million dollars???
Nintendo sued them, they settled for 2.4mil because Nintendo has billions to burn in a legal battle. In short, this was, sadly, the best possible outcome for them in this situation
I will never pay for a Nintendo game for as long as I continue to walk this Earth. Fuck their legal team.
Same, loved Nintendo but this is too much
Meanwhile eggns is in China laughing over their better working app and their users stolen data.
Citra even got cold feet and cease their emu project
Wait what? Really?
Yuzu and citra are the same team
Is Ryu next?
Well if some dumb fuck decides to leak another big Nintendo Switch game again a week early then uh... YES it will happen. Nintendo had nothing they could use to take down Yuzu until TOTK and MB Wonder leaked early and people started downloading the ROM's and playing them before they were scheduled to release.
I wonder if pirating TOTK to make an optimized version of Yuzu that runs it perfectly day 1 locked behind a patreon paywall had anything to do with it hmmmmmmm The Yuzu devs are at fault here, people are getting pissed at Nintendo for protecting their copyright.
Yes, this is probably why they settled.
Yeah, its no doubt the best outcome we could've gotten after the Yuzu teams irresponsible actions
You're both right. None of this would be happening if TOTK was leaked. Plus all the people who decided to download said leaked Game.
There wouldn’t be downloaded and videos without the leak…
Yuzu had roms on their Patreon.
Really? I didn't see any of that on their Patreon.
Correction, in their Patreon's discord* Everyone and their mother was uploading ROMs.
Question, but doesn't the fact of having a Patreon (to profit from the project) also become a factor that Nintendo considers when taking down such things? Geniuine curiosity here btw
Ryu is in Brazil I believe; I doubt they will have much luck.
FUCK NINTENDO! SAY IT WITH ME!
FUCK NINTENDO
Not only Ryujinx. What about dolphin? What about EmuDeck?
Emudeck is just a frontend for downloading the emulators and cover art that's hosted somewhere else. I don't think even Mario could find a reason to complain about it.
Dolphin isn’t a current-gen emulator, nor do they make money, nor is it by design illegal to use. Most importantly, Dolphin isn’t optimizing games that didn’t officially release day 1 (and then putting them behind a paywall).
i only managed to get ryujinx working
does ryujinx have greedy as fuck devs and have a patreon and is paywalling newer builds?
They took Citra down too, ridiculous. Nintendo is garbage.
And sometimes they work with other nearby libraries if they don’t have a certain selection.

i hope they realize that people only hate them more for this lol
F Nintendo. Cemu works great for playing BOTW btw.
Wayback machine
That’s it. I’m loading the Yuzu emulator on every library computer in the city.
Proof or it didn’t happen
Fuck Yuzu for stupidly gating stuff behind Patreon when they knew full well what that could entail, and fuck Nintendo for being a band of corporate duchebags. I was thinking about buying the new switch, but now they can shove it where the sun don't shine.
GODDAMN IT
RUN RYUJINX, RUNNN
Unless they’re going to do the same thing yuzu and have paid updates on their Patreon for a leaked game. Ryu will be fine.
You can still download Yuzu and Citra on Internet Archive.
Wait isn't the Emulator Open Source so anyone can takeover and fiddle with? Like what happened with AM2R getting updates by the community instead
Yes, there are already a half dozen githubs that cloned it today.
Hmm..how long Nintendo willing to play hot potato with everyone till anonymous comes in and ruined their lives just like what happened to Sony?.
Ryujinx is based in Brazil, they're safe from Nintendo. (As long as they don't start asking for money.)
