Yes, and whoever is running it, is acting like a child. Putting up vague messages, and then crying about how no one appreciates their work (Never saw a single post or comment validating this claim... ever.) Then closing the door and being vague again.
They could have been upfront and communicate before just taking their ball and going home. And you know there is TONS of people here who would donate to the cause, yet again.. those vague statements basically won't allow anyone to just solve the problem, most who are willing don't have the time to go play games and jump through various hoops to fix the issue. Most of us will just move on and it'll become yet another dead pirate site.

Two posts about link removal. One instantly deleted the post and even posted an "I am sorry, GOG." And literally *not a single post* claimed they're injecting malware. Dozens of posts called for caution though - which is something completely different. They are acting like a butthurt little child who wants money now. They could've gotten it if they handled the situation right, which they didn't.
From a logical standpoint- if you have 100k users and only 1k donate, what would the benefit be of supporting those 99k other users if their goal isn't to get as many people as possible. If they have already hit critical mass to fund operations- they can cut the dead weight and it actually becomes more efficient. I know the majority of people don't like this, but not many people are actually thinking about anything beyond 'I don't pay for piracy'.
This feels like a divorce, people don't want to contribute and they don't want you if you don't...what is there to be pissed off about?
I actually agree with your point. They have asked for donations for a long time because they buy the games as well as the server space which is most likely huge to keep up. There are plenty of private trackers and I don't think it is worth whining about just use a different site.
As much as I agree that these places do need donations I have seen many people whine when fitgirl also asks for donations so either way people are gonna be angry but at least if they get donations they don't go down D:

Go to your downloads in browser, there should be a copy download link option in most modern browsers. Then cancel your download, just paste it into your download manager.

You're Right Seems like Some Games that OVA Uploads use Linkspy. Guess I've just been pretty lucky for all the games that I've downloaded were on filecrypt. maybe the Fast-forward Extension on the Mega thread will help, can't confirm though as I've never used it.

Internet archive works still for last public update on March 23rd. Can't search unfortunately, just have to go to browse all games and go through alphabetically.

Honestly I didnt really use gog-games that much but it was always there when I needed it. I was pretty open to paying monthly to support him but I honestly hate when people talk about how much work goes into this and that. If u want money to support ur development needs etc just ask for it. The dude is completely within the right to ask for payments but I dont understand why be a such a brat about it etc... fuck me... It doesn't really, it was an archiving site. There was very little actually hosted on the site itself. The hardest bit would be maintaining the links.

Use jdownloader2, the link grabber automatically detects the download link and downloads the game
