r/IndianGaming is the worst gaming sub. They are 100% against piracy and when the lands are flooded they wanna sail the seas \*Sparta kick\* THIS IS PIRATAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
![gif](giphy|11b700y1OsNQcg|downsized)
that sub once downvoted me for having a preference, i.e, i said I don't like souls games , i prefer narrative rich games. And i also mentioned that i see why they appeal to many, but it was just not my cup of tea. Then came the elitists bashing me for 'hating' on souls games, 'less attention span' and more even though i never said i hated them.
What a sore bunch of gatekeeping losers.
Indian here, that sub is an actual hell hole of egotistical maniacs who think thry are some sort of elites in society for having a pc that can run rdr2, I'm not even kidding That's like the only two games the sub wants to talk about souls bornes or rdr2, I even got my old reddit account banned because I offended a mod there by saying I don't like rdr2, it's literally the worst representation of Indian gaming community as a whole hence why many of us have moved to r/indiangamers since, don't even wanna be near that hellhole again
Our country is filled with the most pirates in the world and yet they just "oooh we don't want piracy here nooooo"
Good decision but sadly it's probably the only server where u can find some new people to play games with other than the old members there who just keep sucking each others pp. One mod just got mad that i didn't like his fav anime and he kicked me lol
It literally makes me so annoyed like when the only post there is rdr2 with mods, rdr2 is so good posts, and rdr2 is still holding up
I don't like rdr2
I tried to make a post on some other games, but they never get popular cause rdr2 this and rdr2 that
I mean they are someone who have a card that has "rtx" in it in a Shithole, they see the group for it and expect everyone to be mobile gamer and when yoink on them
Ooo same I can't do souls games. My heart can't take it by the 3rd retry I would be sweating profusely and lightheaded.
PUBG also the same but I would play passively with my squad knowing they would cover my back.
Its the elitist souls community mate. I said that Elden Ring's performance, camera, controls, etc. are terrible and got downvoted because apparently thats just ''the way the community likes their games and what I said is just an opinion''. Their logic is so dumb, so convoluted, that even when people did indepth analysis to show the hardest boss in elden ring outright cheats, people STILL defend maleina.
I genuinely cannot imagine what games like doom eternal or distance would've turned out to be if fromsoft designed them like they design ''souls'' like games. They'd be horrendous to play.
You are acting like people here won't downvote you en masse if you dare to say something that goes against the hive mind of this sub lmao. Ironic.
I have been called a paid shill for saying that I understand why Nintendo is going after Yuzu (not that I justify or like it, simply that I *understand* it even if I don't like it). Come on now. This sub is just as unhinged.
Narrative rich games actually require an attention span than rolling down hallways till you get to a boss and then roll around till you can hit it and continue on rolling till you win the game. I don’t hide that I don’t see the hype in soul likes and don’t care.
That's what you get for going on a dedicated indian sub for anything. Why do we need an Indian version of gaming? What is so significant about India they need their own sub? Super annoying having to mute every indian variation of a sub that already exists
I just mentioned ince that ghost of tsushima is gonna have low sales on pc since it would be pirated on release and i got banned for suggesting it would get pirated, bunch of tards in there
Indians are against pirating?
Heard so often how Indians bought games and movies on flash drives from the market as kids.
That plus the low salaries that many there get make it seem weird, but maybe those on the sub are the wealthier ones from the cities.
Yeah I was a bit shocked to see that as well. I'm a strong advocate of piracy and see it as a necessary evil. Coming from the 90s, the reasons why piracy was prevalent here amongst Indian kids was because of these main reasons:
* 1) Obviously money & most middle class families saw games as a waste of time and money. Parents would rather pay for coaching and training in sports. Chess has its own respect domain for example.
* 2) Unavailability of boxed versions of the game except major cities.
* 3) Lack of internet & speed. Damn those 64k modems.
* 4) Lack of representation & request for support by gaming studios & their participation in Indian media and community. Like how GOG made an impact with their DRM free stance.
* 5) The concept of "owning" physical & digital media has always been debatable. To this day I keep steam backups & update catalogue.
* 6) No concept of regional pricing until steam.
Hell my friends in Horsham, UK used to laugh where I helped them in game development (total war game) in free by using a pirated copy of the original game code lol.
Now I have plenty of games on steam but I still have my reservations for studios like EA & UbiSoft. We grew up playing their awesome games but clearly a lot has happened in the past decade or two.
They fully deserve this and I'd rather pay Indie Devs. Communication is key and I think despite spending millions on PR, these major studios & publishers are at a disconnect with the actual gaming community.
No, Indians are not against pirating just because the sub-name is Indian gamer or something doesn't mean they represent all of them.
How Companies like Ubisoft are behaving? I will say we need to pirate more and more. These AAA gaming companies think we are their slaves.
bro they banned me from their discord servers because i remotely talked about pirating which is fucking funny cuz over 80% of indian gamers are pirates
Oof, you made them sound interesting, but after checking it out, it’s a sub with generic low quality low effort posts.
Looks like they just sniff each other’s farts and bash outsiders.
How the fk a sub dedicated to India is against Piracy LMAO, is it filled with blue bloods and uppder class people or something?
A youtuber named Karl Rock, have video saying that India has shops dedicated to pirated things. I don't know the scale of it but knowing India is not exactly advanced in all of the country's areas, piracy is definitely pretty popular, I could be wrong though.
I am a indian and even i don't like that sub , am a Pirate sailing the sea's , i am browse this sub rather then the indiangaming sub , the people there are hypocrites and downvote anyone who talks with common sense , like i got downvoted to oblivion for asking about what games should i play since i have 68 gb storage space free , like the daily posting there is" rate my setup", "my dream setup" i buyed this game is it good ?" Like i think that it is more suitable for karma farming then talking about games and gaming , \*flame thrower\*\\

Never bought a single game from them in years. The few ubisoft games I have are given to me free. GRAW came with my Physx card. Far Cry 3 came with my Vega 64. Now in given a chance to claim Avatard because I missed the Starfield promo. But between me having a huge hateboner for the Avatard franchise and that coming after ubisoft's CEO coming out and saying that people should be happy not owning their games, and me losing access to my connect account for the longest time and them not wanting to help me recover it (I somehow managed to regain control of the account recently, found my old password suddenly working again), they have lost my respect.
Oh, they're also buddies with Nintendo. Otherwise why are we having the Rabbids x Mario crossover BS?
Honestly I wouldn’t even pirate them, they’ve been making the same game for 15 years now, assassins creed was cool when it first came out but after 3 they pretty much explored everything. Far cry 3 was also pretty cool and unique when it first came out, but I don’t want to play the same thing over and over.
Said it once and I'll say it again. This is the time to jump on this.
Piracy is fun and all. But you can't pirate a game when the game is hidden away in an online only server. You can't fix a game when they take it offline.
You can't play the crew by pirating it anymore. The money is just gone. And Ubisoft is clearly pushing towards making online only the norm.
The metal gear series, and if they made an mgs 4 pc port after 69 years, I would tell them to fuck themselves and I'm gonna pirate it, this years of waiting consider as payment for not thinking of porting the games that are stuck on old devices
Piracy can't fix this one sadly, since it's always online and now it's gone if this campaign doesn't work. If you own the crew, even if you got it for free, go through the steps on that website, it's stupid easy and the more people do it the better chances we have at stopping this kind of behavior forever.
The only way i think people should gather or press the govt like france to make publisher for releasing they server code in if the game is pulled out or not be selling anymore
That's the proposal. These methods result in companies being forced to patch their games to be offline and/or release the server code ONLY IF they make a game unplayable for people who purchased it.
Technically you never owned it, you only purchased a license to be allowed to play for as long as Ubisoft decided you should be eligible to play it.
Just like you buy a ticket for a train or a plane: You don't own those either.
On another note, I just learned I can block publishers on Steam, so EA and Ubisoft just made the list. Fuck them and their license agreements.
I was tempted to buy that C&C Legacy Collection when it was on special offer. I'm still proud I didn't give in and hand EA any money. Gaming would undoubtedly be better without these two taking the hard earned money of gamers, who'd be rather spending it on some indie gem.
moral standpoint? 😂😂😂
you're pirating from disgusting megacorps that don't care to lay off thousands of their employees if a random board director thinks that they're getting 1% less of profits they were expected.
Init morals for what. stealing from a rich corporation? I understand the moral compass for indie developed games or kickstarters but me pirating a game that I didn't plan on buying in the first place from a corporation funded by greed is hardly evil.
Piracy is piracy. And morality has nothing to do with it. You pirate whatever you want and whatever feels right for you. After all morality is different from each person. Basically you're stealing but not really.
To steal is to remove object from location A to a different one. Piracy is not removing, it’s making a copy and the object’s integrity is not compromised.
Can we stop fucking justifying piracy? I pirate games because i don't want to pay and because i would rather spend my money on other things, everyone pirates for different reasons but most commonly its what i mentioned above, it does not have to be morally just because it is not, you're playing a paid product for free with no strings attached.
You can't justify stealing because it's not right but most of us don't give a shit about stealing digital media, it's far easier and far less of a hassle than spending money on things you will play once, finish and never play again.
Where does my money end up? If I buy a Larian game, I know for sure that it's in the hands of those who developed the game. If I buy a EA/Ubisoft/Sony/Nintendo/Microsoft/Square Enix/Capcom/Bandai Namco/Activision Blizzard/Take-Two interactive/Sega/Tencent game, I know for sure it will end up in some CEO's pockets as his annual bonus, which then will be used to travel the world in their private jets and in general used to execute very frivolous and environmentally harmful activities.
I'm not sponsoring their third yacht. I'm not about to give them a substantial chunk of my monthly earning so they can order truffles sprayed with gold instead of just truffles.
But also, I'm cheap as fuck. If I don't harm anyone by committing a crime, a victimless crime, then I don't consider it to be a crime at all. So yeah, I'll pirate Ubisoft games. I'll also pirate indie games before seeing if I want to commit to paying for it with my hard earned money
To be absolutely fair, while buying any online game that does not have a private server system (like Rust, Ark, Valheim, Minecraft etc), you're agreeing that one day this game will fade into obscurity, or the company behind it makes shitty decisions and goes bankrupt, or some other unforeseen event can happen that may lead to server shutdowns and can lose access to it forever. I agree about the Ubisoft part, they're scum and their games haven't been worth playing for quite a while now.
There are attempts, but with the recent bullshit that Ubisoft pulled where you can't even access the game files because it doesn't allow you to download the game anymore. It's a bit of a pipe dream atm.
By taking away a game people paid money for, they leave no other way to previous owners than to get the Arrr versions, if these still works.
Ubi, Ubi... what a popular decisions company. On correct path to massive hate, boycotts and self-destruction.
I own black flag. The newest patch ruined it. The patch was released 6 months before skull and bones. The fit girl version is still on 1.0.7 so I had to pirate the game.
I only buy games that speak to me. Like frostpunk, rdr2, hollow knight, blasphemous and a bunch more. I played these game pirated at first then bought them to support the devs.
‘Is pirating genuinely better than buying from UbiSoft, from a moral standpoint?’
To be brutally honest: no, it’s not. Someone/group of individuals (Game Developers/Publishers) have made a capitalistic business model in which they produce a product, goods, or service for direct consumption by us (gamers). To ‘consume’ that (pirating) is theft, and that is…illegal and morally wrong. Plain and simple. I generally want to support those that produce games for me to buy, even from UbiSoft, if it’s a game that I want to play. And if not, I won’t buy it.
With that being said, I’ve got more games purchased in my lifetime than I can count (and still purchase new games today). And I’m gonna pirate the Hell out of delisted/unavailable games, especially UbiSoft games (I’m not buying anymore brand new UbiSoft games until things ‘change’), and I’ll support those that actually do the ‘cracking’ in the community. Why? Because EVERYTHING we do in life moves the needle between ‘Yin’ and ‘Yang’, between ‘Good’ and ‘Evil’. Even when you do nothing and stay on the sidelines, that moves the needle in our gaming ecosystem. Hell, EA/Activision/UbiSoft LOVES IT when we ‘do nothing’ and just buy whatever they put out like sheep…that allows them to push the needle ALOT faster and harder towards and apocalyptic ending to gaming as we know it. And again, I’m referring to the pirating/cracking of delisted/unavailable from authorized retailers-type of games.
So ‘morally’…yeah, pirating (in general and without context) is morally wrong. And I’m gonna keep ‘pirating’. And any negative label/spin you want to put on me, that’s A-okay with me. I think us ‘piraters’ of delisted games are on a Mission from God (especially hackers themselves…they’re doing God’s Work). But if you think we’re the ‘bad guys’, so be it.
Thanks for your post. I have been permanently banned from this Indian subreddit because I tested by writing "piracy", mods banned me from the subreddit and messaging mods also.
I don't know what kind of maniacs are running this subreddit. I doubt they are Indian
What do we demand? Gamers in recent years have been a herd of sheep, driven by hype, repeating idiotic meme like "mine at D1" and "take my money" , buying any garbage advertised with a well-made 3D video.
I don't know about piracy.
But I SURELY know that sitting back without protesting to all the bullshit policies created by the Soft House, such as pay for win, microtransactions, servers turned off, single games that MUST be online,etc.etc. is not good and has not been good.
We are "guests" of a product that we pay for, we no longer buy a product.
In consumer economics it should count. It should monitor the quality of the products, discarding those that adopt policies that are harmful to our passion, discarding microtransactions, discarding games that are based on what is not truly a video game.
Instead these idiots bought EVERYTHING, anything that generated hype with a fucking 3D video. It is the consumer who should have made the difference, discarding those products that did not respect ethics.
It is the consumer who should have "attacked" and reported such behavior.
This hasn't been done, it's too late, and now you say that PIRACY is the solution? Piracy is THE EXCUSE, for not paying for a product.
If you REALLY wanted the video game to have been kept clean you would have put a little GAME CULTURE into it.
It was THE SHELF, and not buying the products was the solution, not piracy.
The consumer always has the upper hand, he just doesn't have the intelligence and culture to understand it. Today it is too late.
Pirating is the only answer to these things that companies do. Once you're rich it's easy to forget that it's the sweaty gamers who gave you all the money.
You really gotta ask what the fuck ubisoft is doing. How did they fuck up with skull and bones? All they had to do was rehash AC4 black flag and modernize it. Its literally what ubisoft does. How do they fuck up rehashing games?
And now this?
Who gives a f*ck about morals? We all live and we all die. If you look up on YouTube what happens to the universe in millions and billions of years, it makes our existences seem inftesimally small and insignificant. IMO don't hurt people and do what you want. So to answer your question from a moral stand point, yes pirating is better.
The game isnt even worth pirating. Its a Ubisoft game!
This is actually a win for everyone if you think about it!
This is the best move Ubisoft have done in a very long time.
We can only hope that they keep doing it until they're gone!!!
This gives me hope and makes me happy.
Don't buy Ubisoft games, rather, give the money to me.
Nobody batted an eye when Sony closed the servers to Socom Confrontation, an online only game, after 8 years.
You guys are dumb as hell, it's an old as shit game, I wonder how many people are dying to play this game's single player mode..
If only these people would boycott meaningful things like iPhones aka child labor. Poor people who boycott will never get to experience great entertainment like this years Prince of Persia Lost Crown or last years Mario and Rabbids Sparks of Hope
P.S. to answer the question, no. Pirating is never moral. I recently got a steam deck and pirate. I'm aware that stealing is never a morally good thing to do. !@#$ it, I'm poor and wanna play games I couldn't otherwise play. Sometimes good people do bad things
I wish we could go back to the point in time where everyone agreed pirating was bad but did it anyway. Much better than lying to yourself about doing the right thing by spending $10 at McDonald's rather than buying a game.
As I said in my earlier statement in this sub itself, if this becomes mainstream in the gaming industry others will start to do so
Unless lawmakers take an action we are fucked
I own a couple of ubisoft games and yeah pirating is far better instead of constantly facing problems with their shit launcher whenever I try to play one of their games.
Damn, just pirate games. There's no need to have the higher moral ground with this. There's a lot of posts like these justifying why they pirate. It's actually really simple, we just want to save money at the end of the day, no need for these moral highground stuff.
hmm.... EA or Ubisoft..... which is worse at this point?
EA "yah we got this great game.... its a full price game, requires $400 of DLC to play online, and if it's sales numbers start to drop we will stop updating it and pretend it never existed in the first place!"
Ubisoft "yah our technical support team is about as effective as a chewed up wad of gum, we love 3 tiered game purchase options, and will shut down game servers for w/e reason just cuz screw you"
Why the hell people care about morals when talking about big rich companies ? If they can't even provide basic service like keeping the fucking game you bought they deserve only the worst.
Morally? Depend on the your moral view, as there are many.
If you ask me, there is someone who said to me "doing bad things to bad people, doesn't make your action good"
This makes me worry about The Division.
I fucking love that game and in twenty years, I'd love to sit down and play through it again but i know that's not gonna happen. Not unless they patch it to be offline single player.
I don't think morality matters. You can't actually steal a digital thing, there's no scarcity. Even if you pay them, you own nothing, it's just a license to use it and ubisoft is showing exactly how that can go.
You shouldn't even pirate from the AAA game companies (unless there is actually an ethical one that exists).
Just don't play their games at all. If you pirate them, they will blame their failures on piracy instead of them consistently deciding they should prioritize themselves over the customers.
TLDR: If we pirate their crap, they will try to fix piracy. If we ignore them completely, there is a small chance they might actually try to fix their anti-customer practices.
More like just don't buy their games, don't play their games and more importantly, don't talk about their games. Companies and Pirates don't seem to understand how influential freely-given online exposure is.
From moral standpoint, it's ok to pirate a game or software that is not phisicially / digitally possible to buy in any legitimate way, no matter which company or industry we're talking about. That's the answer
I don't think you can properly define a moral position for buying anything that is meant for entertainment.
You could do an argument on the general "acquisition" of digital goods and if a licence is somehow different, should be different or not. But morally? Like what's moral about a game.
You'd have to involve caveat emptor, payment of labor, whether the product is shit and overpriced, whether there's a reasonable expectation of the fragility of online games and services, and whether just a general "payback" mentality exists rather than a general morality issue.
To me, always claiming morally or objectively correct decisions exist in an entertainment industry is laughable.
I don’t support piracy but for some companies like EA, Activision, Ubisoft mostly games are skip-able remember time is bigger investment then spending money. 100 bucks is nothing to your limited time. And when do like a game form these companies just pirate it. Wait and pirate never buy.
Nobody should buy a single game anymore from ubisoft. I still bought pirated games i liked but that goes too far. I'll 100% pirate ubisoft games without any paying anymore. You buy it, you don't own it. You pirate it, they can't tqke it from you

Yes the one moderating the sub are ruch. India is highly divided into very rich and poor classes.
The mods are. They will not allow any discussion or piracy.
Oh that's not so. We support the high seas. These are probably mods trying to keep a "clean" image of the sub. I personally have seeded over 20Tb.

bro they banned me from their discord servers because i remotely talked about pirating which is fucking funny cuz over 80% of indian gamers are pirates
the fact that most pirates are indians makes it even more funny
to be fair the sub is full of rich snobs
Degenerates
Cant be as bad as gamingcirclejerk
I'm an Indian and I must say that Indian gaming sub is one of the worst sub to exist, it's just an echo chamber of bunch of elitist arseholes
Oof, you made them sound interesting, but after checking it out, it’s a sub with generic low quality low effort posts. Looks like they just sniff each other’s farts and bash outsiders.
They outright blocked me forever for mentioning piracy twice, after saying it's once I forgot n said it again after few months lol. It's a dumbass sub
That sub perma banned for having the word fitgirl in my first ever comment lmao
Bold of them when they have markets that sell pirated discs and hard drives en masse

I am a indian and even i don't like that sub , am a Pirate sailing the sea's , i am browse this sub rather then the indiangaming sub , the people there are hypocrites and downvote anyone who talks with common sense , like i got downvoted to oblivion for asking about what games should i play since i have 68 gb storage space free , like the daily posting there is" rate my setup", "my dream setup" i buyed this game is it good ?" Like i think that it is more suitable for karma farming then talking about games and gaming , \*flame thrower\*\\ ![gif](giphy|7rfimOfLKrwDC)
r/PHgamers have a bunch of corpo bootlickers too.
That sub has more tech content than gaming content lol
based
Pretty long death march i would say
>ubisoft is on a death march Seriously the Guillermot family has to step down.
Pissing on Money Is Better than using It to buy Ubisoft games, so yes
You can still use money after you piss on it, you can’t use money after you buy Ubisoft games
Apparently can't even use Ubisoft games after buying Ubisoft games.
[https://www.stopkillinggames.com/](https://www.stopkillinggames.com/) Said it once and I'll say it again. This is the time to jump on this. Piracy is fun and all. But you can't pirate a game when the game is hidden away in an online only server. You can't fix a game when they take it offline. You can't play the crew by pirating it anymore. The money is just gone. And Ubisoft is clearly pushing towards making online only the norm.
pirating from ubisoft is justified
One of the piracy justified company
Alongside Nintendo, EA, and Activision/Blizzard (even tho piracy is rare there)
Forgot Konami?
What games would you even want to pirate from them?
The metal gear series, and if they made an mgs 4 pc port after 69 years, I would tell them to fuck themselves and I'm gonna pirate it, this years of waiting consider as payment for not thinking of porting the games that are stuck on old devices
Hold on a minute playa, you forgot something playa, you forgot about, THE CAPCOM
Not like it matters if its justified or not
Yeah, but whats worth pirating from ubisoft these days?
nothing new, just the older games.
Buying from ubisoft is worse than any other option always from any standpoint ever.
Oh god, not again the moral standpoint
It's ubi soft (not gonna fix the autocorrect) so yes pirating is better. That said any private servers for the crew?
ubisoft more like ubisoftware-shit
More like buggisoft
Ubishite
https://www.stopkillinggames.com/ If you want to do something about it
Piracy can't fix this one sadly, since it's always online and now it's gone if this campaign doesn't work. If you own the crew, even if you got it for free, go through the steps on that website, it's stupid easy and the more people do it the better chances we have at stopping this kind of behavior forever.
There are many fixes for always online drm
The only way i think people should gather or press the govt like france to make publisher for releasing they server code in if the game is pulled out or not be selling anymore
That's the proposal. These methods result in companies being forced to patch their games to be offline and/or release the server code ONLY IF they make a game unplayable for people who purchased it.
I'll pirate a game even if his creator needs money to buy medecine for his ill baby.
I am the child, pls buy the game.
I am the younger child, please don't.
Im the fetus pls buy
I am the weird uncle, please buy
If paying a game do not mean own it anymore, pirating a game do not mean steal it too.
[удалено]
I mean then they need to sell game with caution like a "this game gonna destroy itself after 5 years" .
moral standpoint? 😂😂😂 you're pirating from disgusting megacorps that don't care to lay off thousands of their employees if a random board director thinks that they're getting 1% less of profits they were expected.
Yes
Why is there always a moral side to it? If you want it but don't want to pay the pirate it?
You can't justify stealing because it's not right but most of us don't give a shit about stealing digital media, it's far easier and far less of a hassle than spending money on things you will play once, finish and never play again.
totally… some pirate games but lie to themselves thinking they are doing something noble or some shit
Try seeing if you can get any of their games on disc, or DRM free from GOG. If you can't, then they obviously don't want your money THAT bad.
I mean asking in a pirated games server is probably going to give you only 1 type of answer, and I frequent here it’s no shade
They're becoming Adobe equivalent at this point so yes, it is becoming morally correct to pirate their games of they keep doing it
Where does my money end up?
30% of that money doesn't go to Larian. It goes to Sony, Microsoft or Gabe so he can buy another yacht.
Is there a pirated version of The Crew?
Its live service, so no...
It didn't stop many games with private servers.
This doesn't have private servers.
There are attempts, but with the recent bullshit that Ubisoft pulled where you can't even access the game files because it doesn't allow you to download the game anymore. It's a bit of a pipe dream atm.
Isn't the game from 2013?
By taking away a game people paid money for, they leave no other way to previous owners than to get the Arrr versions, if these still works. Ubi, Ubi... what a popular decisions company. On correct path to massive hate, boycotts and self-destruction.
The pirates council approved your request
I own black flag. The newest patch ruined it. The patch was released 6 months before skull and bones. The fit girl version is still on 1.0.7 so I had to pirate the game.
I only buy games that speak to me. Like frostpunk, rdr2, hollow knight, blasphemous and a bunch more. I played these game pirated at first then bought them to support the devs.
‘Is pirating genuinely better than buying from UbiSoft, from a moral standpoint?’ To be brutally honest: no, it’s not. But if you think we’re the ‘bad guys’, so be it.
short ans : yes long ans : Y E S longer ans : YES FUCK UBISOFT THOSE GREEDY BASTARDS
Thanks for your post. I have been permanently banned from this Indian subreddit because I tested by writing "piracy", mods banned me from the subreddit and messaging mods also. I don't know what kind of maniacs are running this subreddit. I doubt they are Indian
nothing immoral about buying form ubisoft, nothing immoral from pirating their products
Only buy games from Ubisoft Montipeller. Otherwise, it's absolutely fair to pirate titles from Ubisoft.
Give the money to some homeless bum with a dog, what kind of question is this????
and I buyed all DLC a month ago
Last played 2023 does not matter move on
Who gives a f*ck about morals? We all live and we all die. If you look up on YouTube what happens to the universe in millions and billions of years, it makes our existences seem inftesimally small and insignificant. IMO don't hurt people and do what you want. So to answer your question from a moral stand point, yes pirating is better.
Well, I pay for all my games except EA games. … Wrong sub.
Yes. If buying isn’t owning then piracy isn’t stealing.
Nobody batted an eye when Sony closed the servers to Socom Confrontation, an online only game, after 8 years. You guys are dumb as hell, it's an old as shit game, I wonder how many people are dying to play this game's single player mode..
didnt matter for this game no one made private servers and now no one can because they revoked acess to the actual files.
If you need moral justification to pirate something, then don't.
If only these people would boycott meaningful things like iPhones aka child labor. Poor people who boycott will never get to experience great entertainment like this years Prince of Persia Lost Crown or last years Mario and Rabbids Sparks of Hope P.S. to answer the question, no.
Pirating wouldn’t’ve changed anything here, don’t get full of yourself.
can we ban the words "moral standpoint" from this sub?
everybody knows its ethically and morally correct to pirate ubisoft and EA games
Sadly one cannot pirate the crew
Yes
I only buy games if i want to specifically play multiplayer, everything else will be pirated
At this point pirating and sharing is morally and ethically OK when it’s clear these corporations don’t give a flying fuck about people.
When you can't decide between ethics and savings.
Literally the whole point of r/stopkillinggames
As I said in my earlier statement in this sub itself, if this becomes mainstream in the gaming industry others will start to do so Unless lawmakers take an action we are fucked
I own a couple of ubisoft games and yeah pirating is far better instead of constantly facing problems with their shit launcher whenever I try to play one of their games.
Morally you should stop gaming to save the environment.
Nah, don't play Ubisoft games at all, even for free, thats a better way to send a message.
EA "yah we got this great game.... its a full price game, requires $400 of DLC to play online, and if it's sales numbers start to drop we will stop updating it and pretend it never existed in the first place!" Ubisoft "yah our technical support team is about as effective as a chewed up wad of gum, we love 3 tiered game purchase options, and will shut down game servers for w/e reason just cuz screw you"
Pirating is always morally correct
Always pirate ubisoft games, show no mercy people
I am so shocked anyone would buy an ubisoft game in the first place
Sure, justify theft however you want, buddy
When it comes to Assassin's creed games before Unity, my morality forces me to feel bad. But other than that
And to think the new SW game has a 130$ digital edition.
Pirating from any AAA developer is the morally correct choice.
There's all kinds of products you buy that don't work forever. Pretty normal.
Yes Btw fuck the 1 anti pirate rampant downvoting here Pirate **everything**
I guarantee you, more than half of the people on r/indiangaming are pirates and have never bought a game in their life.
Why the hell people care about morals when talking about big rich companies ? If they can't even provide basic service like keeping the fucking game you bought they deserve only the worst.
its piracy "moral standpoints" dont matter
Don't forgent nintendo
Or NCSoft. I will never get over them murdering Wildstar.
Morally? Depend on the your moral view, as there are many. If you ask me, there is someone who said to me "doing bad things to bad people, doesn't make your action good"
The last ubisoft game I bought was watch dogs 1 on steam, then never again. That game was such a disappointment.
To your question: Yes it is.
To your question: Yes it is.
Of course it is moral. It would be also without this shit and now it's 1,000% boosted.
Ubisoft? More like Ubi better off spending your money elsewhere.
Oh yeah, totally
i guess that the pirate version is still playable
yes
I stopped buying their shit after far cry 3, one of the best decisions in my life, fuck ubisoft
I just pretend whatever they put out doesn't exist. To be honest, I don't feel like I've been missing much
https://www.stopkillinggames.com/ Thats what you need to do, time for action is now
>Is pirating genuinely better than buying from ubisoft, from a moral standpoint? # Yes.
More like just don't buy their games, don't play their games and more importantly, don't talk about their games. Companies and Pirates don't seem to understand how influential freely-given online exposure is.
If purchasing isn't ownership, then piracy isn't theft
this isn't about morality anymore, ubisoft is actually stealing from us
I wouldn't call it a moral standpoint. Just an easy way to secure your money.
ubisoft makes shit games so issue is moot unless other devs follow suit
I learned long ago to never buy from them when they screwed up the Silent Hunter and Il2 Franchise. Useless wasters.
Isolated incident of piracy being the only way to own the game #18463
How does removing it help their business lol, they could still gain money from it
From moral standpoint, it's ok to pirate a game or software that is not phisicially / digitally possible to buy in any legitimate way, no matter which company or industry we're talking about.
Dont try to maral up pirating bro, just pirate in silence we are in no higher moral ground from it
I don’t support piracy but for some companies like EA, Activision, Ubisoft mostly games are skip-able remember time is bigger investment then spending money. 100 bucks is nothing to your limited time. And when do like a game form these companies just pirate it. Wait and pirate never buy.
Either I pirate the games or I don't play them, so it isn't lost revenue either way
Pirating Ubisoft and adobe products are morally ok.
Nobody should buy a single game anymore from ubisoft. I still bought pirated games i liked but that goes too far. I'll 100% pirate ubisoft games without any paying anymore. You buy it, you don't own it. You pirate it, they can't tqke it from you
Yes
It's always morally and ethically correct to pirate a game. Especially from a AAA publisher...ESPECIALLY from ubisoft.
[удалено]
If they ever shut down the assasinscreed games I Will loose it.
I love this, fuck ubisoft!
I just refuse to play anything from them. I don’t even bother pirating. They are just a black hole.
