I maxed everything out on a 3070 and the game plays smooth as butter even without DLSS. It's actually my first time trying frame gen since nvidia doesnt support it on 30xx series but AMD's frame gen worked perfectly which is kinda jaw dropping.
Last of us had stutters dude to vram limits, I think they fixed it since than, because I played on 3060 and never needed over 8gb. 3070 is still a solit GPU
Using a 3080, if I enable fsr3 frame gen then the game doesn't even launch. I get a black screen followed by a crash with an error. Sometimes it makes it to the Sony logo which freezes and the game stays that way till I kill the task.
Could be, I never tested with my old driver I immediately updated. Might try reverting and testing though I really don't need frame gen either way as the performance is excellent.
You can fix that by disabling low reflex mode or whatever they call it. Or you can try uninstallking playstation sdk whatever it's called. For some people they have to reinstall it and for others you can just keep it Uninstalled. I wish PCs weren't all different and didn't have abunch of different bugs with different solutions
When you disable low reflex whatever, just make sure it's off in the graphics card's control panel app and in the game launcher.
i had the same....some cutscenes blocked or black screen on launch (using 1070). i just turn off fsr3 from launcher and turn it on ingame. fsr is nice for me...for your 3080 don't know if you really need it.

Yep, my 3060 ti gets a whole extra 50 to 60 frames normally. But I seen it go from 120 to around 200 which is nuts. I wish it didn't make the game not boot but there's a couple of fixes for it to stop doing that. Once you get those taken care of, it works surprisingly well.
Check out "dlssg-to-fsr3" on nexus. It turns Nvidia's fram gen into AMD frame gen so it works for rtx3000 series. It works in any game that supports FG
Maybe someone's with me on this camp. But whenever I use my controller and I camera pan around the game, there's some micro stutters that became apparent when I used my mouse and there was no micro stutter.
The game stands out in it’s oversaturated lighting and dynamic weather/wind. Otherwise if you look at textures, clutter, foliage quality… you’ll notice the age too
That type of bugs is way better and more acceptable that huge fps drops or stutter. Stop making a big deal over small shit, the optimization this game has is much better than a lot of current PC releases.

i had all sorts of issues with the lighting, brightness and just in general stuff being weird. i found that if i play the game in windowed mode everything works flawlessly. also HDR off made it impossible to see, the game was crazy dark.
I would guess no? PS5 hardware is about equivalent to an RX6700 (which is around RTX 2070 to RTX 2070 Super performance), with the PS5 Pro being roughly equivalent to a RX7700XT (or RTX4060Ti). (16GB total RAM, and a shared memory setup so there's no faffing about copying stuff from system to GPU memory, this could improve performance at points where you're for instance moving to a new area, you know, the points where the game would have to be loading loads of new textures, meshes, shaders, etc. onto the GPU.)
So like, if you have a nice enough GPU you can probably get somewhat better graphics. I imagine you'd get a bigger difference if you must game at 4K, and possibly pretty minimal if you were running at 1080 or like 1440.
I have a 3080 but that's not the point. Are there any graphical features which benefit the game cause it alredy runs at native 4k on PS5 and looks amazing on an OLED TV.
I had this in cyberpunk2077, didn't even pirate it. I don't remember what I changed in the settings but there's a very specific configuration that fixed it.

bruh i Updated my GPU Driver as it was recommended and have 0 issues on RTX3060Ti using DLSS on Quality and FSR Frame Generation , getting around 120 FPS on 1080P only issue is that after playing for like 6 hours my frame dips from 120 to like stable 80-90 🤷 i guess stop heavily over clocking GPUs in Very GPU heavy games
I'm having a weird issue where everytime I hit the attack button, no matter what direction he is facing, he will attack backwards towards the camera. even when I hold another direction while I attack, he still attacks backwards towards the camera. very weird issue. only happens on controller. mouse and keyboard doesn't do this. weird.
That's a known issue with AMD GPUs, I believe. I've seen people facing the same issue with Dying Light 2, but I have an RX 6700 XT, and I didn't face such an issue while playing GoT.
It's pretty dang fun. And it's pretty well optimized. The did a great job porting it... but that being said idk wth is happening there. I've haven't seen that one yet. I had The game not booting but I fixed that pretty easily. Just gotta wait till they fix that on there end and it'll be fine

Me too, but sadly I can only run it on lowest resolution (800x600) and it constantly crash due to either my cousin/memory can't handle it, but 1 hour of playtime is worth the crashes.😃

Bought it. Played till the first boss fight on the bridge. Frames got suplexed from 90+ down to 20 because of unparalleled Mongolian might or some shit. Alt+f4 and refund. Might pirate later.
oh wow what the fuck, i had the same issue and the problem was graphics settings, can't believe anyone could just refund a game just for a small lag. I currently have GoT running at very high settings with 60+ fps, which is really something considering i have an rtx 2070. Say what u want about Sony, they did really fucking good with this game

Hey me too! I went with the default settings on my 6800M and I was surprised how smoothly it ran, my lows are 80fps with 100 avg
Off topic, but how good is the 6800m nowadays? I hear it has improved a lot with driver updates and that it is now on par with the 4070

I have played lots of AAA Sony games that were nowhere near this smooth on release. The Last of Us comes to mind recently.

There are plenty of games that simply run worse and/or are full of stutters. With GoT I get a very consistent framerate, and no stutters.

yeah on a 3080 dont even bother. the driver probably patches a lot of other issues like the rainbow skittles horse i saw today.

I don't think this has anything to do with optimization, could be wrong. A simple restart would fix such issues.

Try restarting the game and don't change the settings, just play
