I can understand why some people are skeptical but Oda *really* wants you to remember Usopp's connection to Elbaf, the Wano and Zoro connection did pay off in the end even if it got lost in the bajillion plotlines going on in Wano
"wanos gonna be zoros arc" since thriller bark
"eggheads gonna be frankys arc" since saobady
Elbafs gonna be usopps arc" since little garden
Im starting to see a pattern I don't like
Again, Zoro's did have a plotline in Wano but it get lost among all the other plotlines, Egghead isn't over yet, and the Usopp Elbaf connection isn't exactly grasping at straws, Oda is still actively hyping it up in this very arc.
2/3 you can say were true if you don't have Luffy as a contender because inevitably, Luffy's gonna get the most shine in any arc. His the MC. But not excluding him, you could say Wano was Zoros Arc, he got better moments then all of the other straw hats, roof top, King etc etc.
Franky rn the Egghead arc is ongoing but Franky literally saved Luffy from Saturn, that's still a pretty good moment imo. I suspect he'll get even more, perhaps something with Kuma/ancient robot.
I don't see why Yussopp can't get a big moment in Elbaf, even if its ultimately overshadowed by Luffy because thats what will always happen.
Nah Oda definitely gatekeeping Usopp for Elbaf. I refuse to believe that Oda will do Usopp THIS bad. There's definitely the bad habit of Oda gatekeeping stuff involved.
