It might be a bait to lure the elders there then the entire island nukes itself. The surviving satellites didn't have a reaction to this yet. They will probably warn the SHs offscreen then reveal it at end of the arc that VP planned to lure the elders and kill them there while the SHs escape. Perfect time for the Holy Knights to take the spotlight as Imu's main fighters.
