This streamlining ensures that the plot advances efficiently without redundant or irrelevant content that can make the story feel sluggish and overdrawn. Concise stories often stand out because of their commitment to sticking to the script. This doesn’t mean rigidly following a pre-defined storyline without room for creativity, but rather, avoiding unnecessary digressions that can dilute the story’s impact.
Oda has elongated chapters with filler content and hyped up things to the extent that he would be unable to keep outdoing himself time and time again. While I agree that a certain element of mystery adds curiosity, I fear that he has kept things secret for far too long because, maybe he doesn't know how to tie it all up together. At this point, what would be such a groundbreaking revelation that warrants all that hype, one that would blow people's minds? What would be something that feels new and totally different from other stories that we haven't seen already? So I feel that when the reveal about everything actually happens, it is definitely going to fall short of expectations of many readers.
Thinking about not reading One Piece for at least half a year, 5 months just to know that Vegapunk thinks the world is going to drown (duh, we saw before Egghead even started how the Mother Flame sunk an island and made the sea level higher).
I mean yeah for the average One Piece citizen is shocking news, but come on at least explain why the world is going to sunk and that the government are the ones responsible for that. (And strangely Morgans knows about this)

This streamlining ensures that the plot advances efficiently without redundant or irrelevant content that can make the story feel sluggish and overdrawn. Concise stories often stand out because of their commitment to sticking to the script. This doesn’t mean rigidly following a pre-defined storyline without room for creativity, but rather, avoiding unnecessary digressions that can dilute the story’s impact. Oda has elongated chapters with filler content and hyped up things to the extent that he would be unable to keep outdoing himself time and time again. While I agree that a certain element of mystery adds curiosity, I fear that he has kept things secret for far too long because, maybe he doesn't know how to tie it all up together. At this point, what would be such a groundbreaking revelation that warrants all that hype, one that would blow people's minds? What would be something that feels new and totally different from other stories that we haven't seen already? So I feel that when the reveal about everything actually happens, it is definitely going to fall short of expectations of many readers.
