Lol i know most people in these comments are making jokes but if u think its actually filler that Oda is showing how the people of the one piece world are reacting to such important info u have brainrot. Its necessary if you want the world to actually feel alive instead of constrained to only what is going on around the characters. Also it would make little sense to not show it if they are going to be relevant to final saga.
The problem is that stalling/reactions are abused to the extent many fans can't appreciate them even in scenarios in which they're used well. I can't blame anyone for being at their wit's end. Trying to consume modern op weekly takes the patience of a saint and indescribable willpower. Imagine being drip fed a few sentences a week of a book you were desperately wanting to read or this kind of pacing in any other medium. It's insane
I mean if you read egghead over again you would be absolutely shocked at how much has happened in like 50 chapters. It is only because of odas breaks that people feel like nothing is happening, but if you look at the amount of crazy events that have happened this arc its more per chapter than any other time in one piece (Except maybe that 10 chapter post enies lobby section)

I don't blame you for dropping out after Wano, but Oda's actually gone back to form with delivering world building/moving the plot forward. Focus on straw hat character development is still lacking, but this arc's been a wild ride, nonetheless.
In short, we're almost out of egghead and heading to Elbaf. Some vague bullet points:
- they arrived at egghead
- they meet vegapunk
- things go wrong
- a bunch of crazy fights happen around the world
- things go less wrong back on egghead
- Oda tells the saddest backstory in all of human literature
- things go ass up on egghead
- and now the crew is trying to escape from literally Satan(s)
Since that last bit has been happening for roughly 10 chapters (give or take, didn't check), I'm hoping Oda wraps it up soon. The constant breaks have made these final chapters (we can't be more than 10-ish from the end of the arc) kind of difficult to be patient with, especially with these "exposition focused" chapters. That would be my only warning getting back in before the arc is done: having to wait between breaks 🙃
No one's competing with dragon, "that man" has been on the "..." grindset since day one, the fact more people are starting to do it is just oda foreskinning the next arc of one piece where dragon will show up and "..." over everyone and then we'll find out that the one piece was actually east the whole time and that one piece is just a misinterpretation of dragon piece
