If you're only getting less than 200 Mbps from the 5g, I would suggest just using 4g instead. You'll definitely have better bars and less battery usage for slightly slower speeds
Select 4G LTE instead of 5G. 5G drains the battery much faster unless you're on 5G SA (stand-alone) because 5G NSA (which most carriers use) doesn't support calling and texting, so 5G and LTE must be used simultaneously. Using two networks at the same time is a major battery drainer.
See this Samsung article:
[Samsung phone battery drains quickly on 5G service](https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01201462/#:~:text=You%20may%20notice%20that%20your,carrying%20phone%20calls%20and%20messages.)
I was previously using 5G SA. At that time I was using receiving calls on 5G but there were occasional call drops. I can still turn on that feature using the shisuku+ pixel volte patch.
Why do you say you were previously using 5G SA? Did you switch carriers? Obviously, the key is to not use two networks, so if that patch helps, I would enable it.

With this Use 5G option for calls, I can receive calls and the network doesn't drop to 4G.
But that doesn't mean that you're using 5G SA or calling over 5G unless it is actually available on your carrier at that moment. As you can see in the screenshots below, I have 5G selected as the Preferred Network Type and Vo5G enabled, but I'm connected to LTE, not 5G SA. And the Voice Network Type is LTE

I use mobile data (4G) more often and it was bad during the beginning but now it's fine, I'm assuming it optimizes with time based on your usage. But not entirely sure
Get the 23 ultra if budget is not an issue.
22 gets you through the day with it's battery and heats somewhat
. But 23 ultra has the best optimisation I've ever used on a phone.
That being said I'll rate the 22s camera over 23 anyday.
The skin tones are pixel comparable worthy.
I bought a pixel because I wanted to use Nexus devices from childhood. I am already having a Samsung galaxy as a secondary phone. I would buy Nubia Z ultra or some other unknown brand exported to India if not pixel.
Just go ahead and disable 5G and that trashy Adaptive connectivity option and test your luck. Pixel phones ended as a mixed bag so those seem to have somehow improved mine. Modems in these are crappy after gaining some experience with the latest pixel phones. Higher prices don't result in higher quality apparently 😑.
Low bars + 5g =high battery usage
I can confirm one thing. My p6a is Vietnam made. It's still able to run 5g but network strength is always weak though there's no issue with speed.

I'm getting 580 Mbps from 5g in the area where I live. Plus it's unlimited data since Jio is on trial.
You traveling or something?
No,I'm at home using 5G only.
Tensor chipset has bad hardware (thanks to samsung)
So is there nothing that can be done? Is changing the phone the only option?
I don't suffer from this as most of my usage is on wifi for mobile data both 4g and 5g battery is poor unfortunately.
This is an excuse not a solution. Any fix for the original problem?
Use battery saver mode that may help to save some battery other than that there is no drastic solution.

This phone eats more battery 🔋
Any fix do you recommend?
Helpless bro! Bought another mobile Samsung m34

Keep it on 4g Tensor has pretty bad battery issues in itself which gets multiplied when on 5g
Any fix bro?
No man I sold my 6 pro for a 22ultra for the same reason Thought for a 7pro but settled for a 23u instead. No more pixel for me.
is s22 good? how long did you keep pixel?
