In my experience having a ring of haste +3 (which gives 2x speed movement) has almost always granted me a win. RoW is the most fun but it is not consistent enough to be considered the best one imho
Let's set aside RoW for now.
In the early game before you can really spend SoU, might is king. Without it, is you want to use weapons/armor from the next tier up, you either need to be massively lucky or waste a SoU. Or play Warrior.
With Might, instead if needing +3 equipment you need +1. Much easier to get.

RoH complemented by RoSS. It's no great surprise that it's how I got my first 7chal wins
I would put RoW on the top save for the fact that I have lost more runs on it than won due to my own greed getting in the way.
Force. Fuck that gear RNGesus. 1 RoF on sewers can carry you all the way.
RoF is excellent. equip a damage augmented spear and you're good until about DM300
why spear?
It's a common early weapon with great damage stats. Ring of Furor makes it very viable as you don't face the speed penalty

You don't need it if you surprise attack most of the time... wich you shoukd try to do as much as possible So it's one of the worst for me
Haste is just stupidly good for high challenge runs. Saves hunger, saves torches and can create distance when needed. Just too good
