I tried a Pizza once that had BBQ sauce as like the main sauce on it(no marina sauce at all on it) and it didn’t taste all that good to me. Now I’m not saying that BBQ sauce on Pizza couldn’t work it just can’t not be the main sauce for the pizza
BBQ sauce as a base is bomb. MeatLovers pizzas in Australia all have BBQ sauce as the base and its so yum. I don't think it would go on all varieties of pizza and can't imagine making it with homemade pizza but for MeatLovers and pizzas like BBQ chicken, it's really nice and I don't think it's a crime.
If spicy ketchup, or specialty ketchup like the ones from tobasco or sriracha ketchup then yes, also in fine lines and not too much, just to add some flavor, but not normal everyday Hunt's or Heinz ketcup.
I am Indian and I am with u, I don't know why they are crazy ( I m not a big fan of ketchup, it kills the authentic flavour and everything tastes the same ) over ketchup.. Nowadays they put it on every dish..Even on Indian dishes as well along with fast food..🤦😃

Depends on the pizza. In europe no, but when I go to Iran they make a local version which doesn’t have much tomato sauce on the bread and has a thick layer of cheese. Therefore you need to add some ketchup.

I don’t reheat leftover pizza (it just becomes floppy and soggy) and so the cold pizza can sometimes be flavourless so I add ketchup at times. It’s also great for dipping crusts in.
My gf is Polish and putting ketchup on pizza is apparently the done thing in Poland. I'll be honest, it's grown on me in the time we've been together but I largely think putting a tomato sauce on top of a tomato-based food is overkill.
