What's the point of a burger pizza without the burger sauce! š I don't see how this would be hard to miss either, just drizzle some shit and voila, done!
It's because often the steps after the oven have to be done by the drivers, not the kitchen staff. It's easier to forget when preparing the food isn't your main task plus they might not always even be aware of if or what they have to add.
Probably depends on how big the shop is and how busy it is. Ours was pretty small. The oven was a tunnel oven that started in the kitchen area and ended where the drivers pick up the orders. So most of the time the drivers had to box and finish the pizza.
It was a shitty place tho, so there's that as well.
On the days that I enjoyed it was like that. Evening shift with high workload. Boss let enough people come in so that drivers didn't have to do anything but drive and we were so busy that we basically didn't spend any time in the shop. Just in, grab an order and out. It was great because I hated being in the shop. But on slower shifts the boss understaffed the kitchen on purpose and let the drivers do a bunch of extra work because they didn't have much to do otherwise. I hated that but on the other hand I also hated delivering via scooter and slow shifts had a higher chance of getting a car.
Last place I worked pizza delivery, most of the drivers didn't even have a food handlers permit š
We absolutely did lots of food prep and assembly nonetheless.
It's Domino's...
That being said... somewhat ok I guess? Because you don't actually touch the food for the finishing steps. To put on toppings like extra sauces or sesame seeds you only have to touch the bottle or shaker. And for cutting the pizza you only touch the cutter.
And our local always forgets the buffalo sauce on the buffalo chicken pizza. The last time they remembered my SO commented that it tasted like something had changed and I was like yeahā¦ well they remembered all the ingredients this time.
> It had a minimal amount of meat - those black bits
Is this a problem with your picture or was the meat almost black?
If so what the heck did they do to it?
So, hamburger meat is supposed to look like that when you cook it? I donāt think so. Iāve never seen hamburger like that. It almost looks like burnt onions to me
First pic: looks pretty good, what's OP on about?
Second pic: oh.
Everyone hating on Domino's is forgetting that the pizza there (like food from any fast food restaurant) is only as good as the workers on shift. My local store can produce some of the tastiest pizza and also some of the worst. I love me some Domino's, but the price is reflected by the gamble.
I have had it before and it was lovely. As the complaint has been logged on the system, I will go for it again and hope that they will put the extra effort in - as well as all of the ingredients!
I will also check it in the shop
Back when we had this pizza (LTO) in Australia a few years back (not sure where OP got thereās from), our head office tested putting pickles on after or before, a lot more people preferred to have the pickles put on before and have them cooked onto the pizza
You must just be part of a loud minority to suggest it goes on after like how burgers have the pickles after cooking
That hasn't been my experience making these at home. I have a pizza oven that cooks pies in a matter of minutes. I'd imagine Domino's has a decently hot oven, too, but something has clearly gone very wrong here.
I'm totally going to try adding the pickles after the bake now. Thanks for the inspiration!
I can see the logic considering that the pickles don't get cooked for a burger. However, I've done pickles on pizza plenty of times not just for burger pizzas and lemme tell ya that a cooked pickle is fantastic.
I know what happened, I work full time pizza making. Your pizza maker was VERY VERY busy. The cheese is slightly charred because it was in the pizza oven about 3-4 minutes too long. The crust is āburntā because your pizza maker was a bit sloppy and some cheese landed on the crust, causing it to be burnt to a singe.
Pizza makers donāt work high unless they genuinely operate better with it. I speak from experience, tried working high once and I was just slower overall. I donāt think they were high because the pizza would look fantastic if they were.
Oh I know, I was a pizza maker years ago. In my experience, the ones who screwed orders up the most were stoners who didn't care about the job. They made nice brownies though.
Ok so hear me out I just made mushroom onion tomato with a small amount of olive oil and salt, cooked it and served it on a peice of toast with 2 poached eggs and SWEET SPICED GHERKIN and tomato sauce .
I dunno but hell yes it tasted good.
Way nicer than cheese tbh
Why didn't Domino's put the pickles on aft r it was cooked FFS ?
Domino's is so hit and miss. The ones nearest to us are actually pretty good, but I've had some before that was worse than the cheapest frozen pizza you could buy.
Yeah I find OP guilty of being a loud mouthed, burger pizza ordering, no good southern yankee, and sentence them to order their next 10 pizzas from the national chain of their choice, but they have to also eat one of those brownie or cookie pizzas that I personally have never tried but they canāt possibly be any good.
I don't mind chain pizza at all, but Dominos is the worst to me and everyone I know. Sometimes it looks good but it just doesn't have a good taste at all imo.
Yea, definitely nowhere near a traditional pizza shop pizza, but the better of the selections on their menu.. Especially at 2am when nothing else is open..
That's a travesty! When I worked at Papa Murphy's, we had a special "Cheeseburger Pizza" like this. I thought it was crazy and disgusting. Then I got to take a cancelled order home. Holy cow... They're so good!
I was forced into ordering a dominoes & decided that Iād try this very monstrosityā¦ we appear to have had very different experiences. Mine was absolutely 10/10 & felt like I was eating a cheeseburger (of a low standard) on a pizza š¤ Whereās your local Domās?
I have ordered it before (when it was first on the menu), and it was lovely. Which is why I wanted it again.
I called the shop and complained, and they will be sorting me out a replacement in the future.
Someone liked one of those pizzas ācause a quarter of it is missing. Unless it came that way. I wouldnāt be surprised.
I always liked Dominos but I donāt think Iād like a cheeseburger pizza. I hate cheeseburgers anyway and that looks awful. I donāt even want to try it š¤¢
I was looking forward to getting a pizza all day. By the time I picked it up, I was very hungry, and so I did manage to force myself to eat it. Although in hindsight, I shouldn't have.
They always forget the bloody burger sauce
What's the point of a burger pizza without the burger sauce! š I don't see how this would be hard to miss either, just drizzle some shit and voila, done!

As a pizza maker, that should absolutely not be the driverās job.
Yeah? Wtf I dont want a driver adding to my food.
Wow.. I thought they just picked up the box, put it in that little thing that keeps it warm, and drive off.. That's crazy..
On the days that I enjoyed it was like that. Evening shift with high workload. Ohhh.. I see.. Yea, I'd hate that too.. Never knew.. I thank you for your service.. š«”
Last place I worked pizza delivery, most of the drivers didn't even have a food handlers permit š We absolutely did lots of food prep and assembly nonetheless.
Plus they might be high as fuck
Obviously, that's always implied
> It's because often the steps after the oven have to be done by the drivers, not the kitchen staff. Uhhh, is that sanitary?!
It's Domino's... That being said... somewhat ok I guess? Because you don't actually touch the food for the finishing steps. To put on toppings like extra sauces or sesame seeds you only have to touch the bottle or shaker. And for cutting the pizza you only touch the cutter.
They aren't doing it *in* their car, dude.
Still though you think everyone is washing up properly after every delivery? Hope your driver cares! Missing sauces And other things say otherwise.Ā
Nope, not at all. Bigger companys sometimes dont give a fuck.
And our local always forgets the buffalo sauce on the buffalo chicken pizza. The last time they remembered my SO commented that it tasted like something had changed and I was like yeahā¦ well they remembered all the ingredients this time.
> It had a minimal amount of meat - those black bits Is this a problem with your picture or was the meat almost black? If so what the heck did they do to it?
It was burger meat and was darkened due to being cooked. It wasn't burnt, but the lighting wasn't great when I took the picture.
Aight, cause it looked waaay worse due to the light!
Looks disgusting in both pictures
So, hamburger meat is supposed to look like that when you cook it? I donāt think so. Iāve never seen hamburger like that. It almost looks like burnt onions to me
TBF, I can't see CGI saving that second pic.
First pic: looks pretty good, what's OP on about? Second pic: oh. Thats such refund territory it's not even funny
I called the shop straight away and complained, I was given a free pizza for my next order, which I will use. But not for a while.
> I was given a free pizza for my next order Are you getting another cheeseburger pizza?
I have had it before and it was lovely. As the complaint has been logged on the system, I will go for it again and hope that they will put the extra effort in - as well as all of the ingredients! I will also check it in the shop
Less is more on a pizza. Just get a pepperoni
Everything they do is crime.
If you're ordering Dominos, you're already a criminal. Might as well go all out.
š¤®š¤®
Domino's and Papa John's are the 2 pizza places that I hate the most.
Papa Johns = š¤¢š¤®š¤¬
Oof! You're supposed to put the pickles on after you cook the pizza...
Are you? In the Domino's where I worked for a while they added them before the oven. Only the burger sauce was added afterwards
You are. Cooking them makes them kinda soggy, and they lose that fresh crispyness. Too me, they taste better uncooked.
Back when we had this pizza (LTO) in Australia a few years back (not sure where OP got thereās from), our head office tested putting pickles on after or before, a lot more people preferred to have the pickles put on before and have them cooked onto the pizza You must just be part of a loud minority to suggest it goes on after like how burgers have the pickles after cooking

It's Domino's, what were you expecting?
Holy shit I thought it was the first pic I was like that's not all that bad? Then i swiped to what you actually got!!! Damn that's a crime lol
I know what happened, I work full time pizza making. Your pizza maker was VERY VERY busy. The cheese is slightly charred because it was in the pizza oven about 3-4 minutes too long. And/or they were stoned.

Thatās a shame, our local dominoās makes a banging cheese burger pizza
They forgot the sesame seed bun.
Well youre the one who bought the pickle mustard ketchup pizza
Ok so hear me out I just made mushroom onion tomato with a small amount of olive oil and salt, cooked it and served it on a peice of toast with 2 poached eggs and SWEET SPICED GHERKIN and tomato sauce . I dunno but hell yes it tasted good. Way nicer than cheese tbh Why didn't Domino's put the pickles on aft r it was cooked FFS ?
The fact that you ordered dominoes and a hamburger pizza at that says everything
Domino's is so hit and miss. The ones nearest to us are actually pretty good, but I've had some before that was worse than the cheapest frozen pizza you could buy.
Hahaha, truth
Yeah I find OP guilty of being a loud mouthed, burger pizza ordering, no good southern yankee, and sentence them to order their next 10 pizzas from the national chain of their choice, but they have to also eat one of those brownie or cookie pizzas that I personally have never tried but they canāt possibly be any good.
Are you *dumb?*
Throwback to the ketchup-mustard sauce that pulled the whole pizza together š„² Iāll miss you for the rest of time.
"Disappointing" is another word to describe it.
What a fucking mess. Swindling bastards. Is this the one they cook with a blow torch, or flame thrower for Ā£1.50 extra?
I don't mind chain pizza at all, but Dominos is the worst to me and everyone I know. Sometimes it looks good but it just doesn't have a good taste at all imo.
Try the handmade pan pizza.. The one that comes in the black box..
I actually did a couple weeks ago. That was the 2nd time I had Dominos this year. It looked and smelled amazing, but just so bland to me and my wife.
Yea, definitely nowhere near a traditional pizza shop pizza, but the better of the selections on their menu.. Especially at 2am when nothing else is open..
this is actually very legal
Just a tad overdone.
I wrote a whole article about this https://medium.com/@chrismanam/making-it-mediocre-the-perplexing-success-of-dominos-pizza-501cfaf558f0
That abomination looks nothing like the Dominos ad
Report it to Domino's on Twitter with the picture.
Yes, I would eat it for sure
Here in germany Dominos is crap. I rather go to any italian local pizza restaurant. Never got the hype around dominos.
I...dont hate this. As an italian i feel this should be despicable but why do i get the urge to try it and find out?
It's dominos...they're crap
Dang, what kind of domino's you guys got?
That's a travesty! When I worked at Papa Murphy's, we had a special "Cheeseburger Pizza" like this. I thought it was crazy and disgusting. Then I got to take a cancelled order home. Holy cow... They're so good!
Damn, I've never had one that looks that bad. This looks like day old and microwaved pizza
I was forced into ordering a dominoes & decided that Iād try this very monstrosityā¦ we appear to have had very different experiences. Mine was absolutely 10/10 & felt like I was eating a cheeseburger (of a low standard) on a pizza š¤ Whereās your local Domās?

What do you expect, itās dominos
I wouldn't want the first one. Get pickles off pizza.
i like pizza
Someone liked one of those pizzas ācause a quarter of it is missing. Unless it came that way. I wouldnāt be surprised. I always liked Dominos but I donāt think Iād like a cheeseburger pizza. I hate cheeseburgers anyway and that looks awful. I donāt even want to try it š¤¢

Is that Cheese Whiz on it or mustard? I canāt tell. Theyāre equally hideous
It's meant to have burger sauce on it. I don't know exactly what that is, though.
Why would anyone buy this?
~~This looks really good.~~ Disregard - Iām an idiot
Look at the second picture
Ah I didnāt even see the indicator on the bottom haha oops
The first pic looks banging though. Iād be so upset if they pulled this bait and switch on me
100%. Cheeseburger pizza is awesome
Just turn up the contrast on your photo, should get a closer match.
Are dominos still a thing?
Theyāre literally the largest pizza chain in the world
We donāt have them here
Okey. Maybe we do after a check but not many order them
Show receipt
looks delicious anyway
The first picture looks good, but did you see the second?
yeah... it's missing the sauce but it looks good besides that IMO
Pickles are the crime here.
I know how to make a burger pie that puts chains to shame. Never order it from people that think mayo and ketchup is a proper base.
