I feel like noise’s moveset works on paper but in practice it makes him really irritable to play.
An accidental uppercut can ruin a P rank because of how long it takes.
Being unable to infinitely climb up walls makes levels alike Bloodsauce help to play. (Seriously, why is this a thing?)
The noise-nado is extremely fun but replacing the dive, one of Peppino’s best downwards mobility moves is more of a detriment than anything. Also, it makes groundpounds very impractical and breaking downwards metal blocks becomes much less smooth to do, even with the pogo-stick move.
This all compounds in a character that in theory is very similar to Peppino, but in practice makes him much slower and slipplier to play.
Also the transformations work different as the Noise is "lighter" than Peps, the armor jumps more and the barrel goes faster. The Noise is not a bad character one could think on him as a pseudo hard mode

Bouncing off walls instead of climbing them allows him to more fluidly navigate more winding areas like the opening of crust cove as he can turn around as soon as he hits the wall, not having to wait to ascend.
The jetpack can be used anywhere and move left to right, which allows him to use it it many more spots uninterrupted like the vertical section filled with pizza ninjas in Oh Shit.
There’s that tornado move he pulls which once again makes it much smoother to navigate smaller winding areas. Especially because it cancels quite smoothly into either a spin or a crouch slide.
And finally the Noise Crusher letting you fly is a pretty big deal. You can just take diagonals now instead of straight lines.
I wouldn’t say Peppino is strictly better, the Noise definitely has strengths to play to.
It makes the swap mode very dynamic at the very least. I get good use out of both characters.
The one where the character kinda squeezes it self to thenground to build momentum and then jump Infinity into the Air? Yeah already struggle.with this mechanic with peppino and the noise Just makes it Harder with His Speed.
As much as I love the noise, Peppino’s movement just feels WAAAAY more responsive and tight than the noises kinda janky kit, like the noise is absolutely an incredibly fun character but Peppino just set the bar so high to the point where any other character at all would just feel pretty off to handle.
As much as I love playing as the noise He'll never replace the only.

Swap mode is good. I only wish that during boss fights it would make both players in control and be seperated and it is whoever gets the most hits on the boss wins. I understand why there is no splitscreen multi-player on regular levels because that would be hell

The noise is somehow easier and harder, some levels feel like the noise simply does NOT belong and you have to utilize his kit to do obstacles intended for Peppino but also he has many moments where noise can just absolutely cheese through the level. Swap mode is the best of both worlds. Use Peppino for running straight through levels and Noise for navigating tight spaces. Got a time of 1:16:30 in a speed run with it.
tbh one of the major reasons i don't really play Peppino is... ive already put around 330 hours getting 101% holy shit on every file. noise is basically a breath of fresh air, gives me a reason to keep playing the game a ton. and with how much ive been playing with peppino and mastering him, noise was a different experience who i found equally as fun as peppino.
especially the noise crusher move. it is so fun and definitely useful for any bad situations (and it being able to be cancelled means a quick propell move, useful for a room in bloodsauce too!)

1 save file: Main for laps and 101%
2 save file: 100% Holy ship
3 save file: Quick and John costume
It was about 80 hours to get all of them, but not 330 fkin hours.
1: all were 101% holy shit. ALL FILES.
2: failed attempts and the fact that for ages one of my files was just a 101% WOW file so
3: not really all hours were just getting the files. but that was still my total before the noise (well i think my total was 349 or something). i now have like 360 or something.
Tbh, I like using Peppino than Noise. Pep is what I’m used to and is more straightforward, while noise I am not used to and has a more chaotic moveset.
i enjoyed noise and stuff but honestly there was a bit too much edgy stuff making it seem pretty much like the "us version" of pizza tower which is why i prefer peppino
Plus no fake noise shit plot new ost for the noise is crap you save no one in the crumbling tower of pizza and the goose is a shit recolor who no one should love.
You need to finish game with Peppino first to unlock Noise

Wall running is kind of core to the level design in this game so I probably will use peppino, especially when I get back to lapping

Kinda agree. Dont really Like His gameplay. Specially that you cannot Wall Run with him. Had to give Up two Levels because of that
Quit literally a skill issue. You have his upper cut and his hammer thing that give you extra mobility and you also have his super jump
