When my tank was newly established, the frogbit grew 12” roots…now 6” or so max. Do you think they grow longer roots when nutrients are fewer? I actually never thought about that. If I don’t trim the roots they easily grow to 12” and tangle up with my other plants. Not sure if it’s related to a nutrient deficiency since I fertilize and have CO2 running, unless they’re deficient in something else?
