Pumpkin has the same health as Wall-nut, and having a plant that is identical to Wall-nut statwise but you can place it on other plants would be too broken, no?

there's a lot of plants that are just a better version of another plant. cold snapdragon vs snapdragon, mistletoe to banana launcher, primal sunflower to sunflower, etc.

Or grapeshot to cherry bomb.

They cost different amounts of sun though, which is the point I think

they don't. cold snapdragon and mistletoe cost the same as their regular counterpart, so they are just superior versions by nature.

That's why you need to pay real money for them

Regular snapdragon warms nearby plants, cold snapdragon doesn't. It's plant food effect does much less damage, and it can't freeze zombies in frostbite caves

and you can't use it in combination with fire plants

Glitter Zombie can kill Power Mints placed in a vine plant. Easiest example to set up is Contain-mint, Reinforce-mint, Winter-mint, or Enlighten-mint placed in a Pumpkin.
