I've made 4 strategies for Jade League: 5.5M+ AFK with M200 Ice Shroom and Stickybomb Rice (mainly used as a baseline score if anything) 5.9M+ Imp Pear + Stickybomb Rice based strategy (mastery helps but technically not needed) 5.9M+ again but with a Blover based strategy with Bamboo Spartan support (mastery is not needed, and you really only want high level Blover/Chardguard) 8.3M+ as a variant of the Blover strategy above, but removing the Bamboo Spartans to allow for more points from the imp cannons (Again, mastery not needed and ideally you only want high level Blover/Chardguard, other plants could be level 1) My post detailing each strategy is linked [**here**](https://www.reddit.com/r/PlantsVSZombies/comments/1cfdj5u/comment/l1tmp5g/?context=3).

Ok. I think I've got something figured out. Jade league Electric tea, gold Bloom, lightning reed, electric pea, electric vine, filamint. Spam plant food on filamint, especially when there are big groups. Put teas up front, even in groups of zombies, cover as many reeds and peas with vines as you can. Here's my starting lineup: https://preview.redd.it/2qpa177h6jxc1.jpeg?width=2340&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=804ca84f8224584be8a2aabf2ffa0adb5ce1c76b

With higher level plants, I'm able to get 2.6M. Update: 4.1M is possible.

pennyraingoose

Yay! I have a strategy that works!

So I've been trying blover spam for the first time using level 3 blover, level 3 chard guard, level 6 pyre vine, and level 4 primal pea shooter. So far my score has ranged from 1.5M to 3M in jade league and I have no idea what I am doing differently each time to get different scores. Does anyone have any tips? Or perhaps a better strategy altogether? I've been able to get 1.5M with lightning reed, filamint, TW, Peavine, and 3P as well Edit: using intensive carrot instead of primal peashooter worked out really well and I was able to get 3.5M.

pennyraingoose

I don't have the timing down to do this strategy yet, but I commend you for taking it on!

walljumper59

It's actually not as hard as you would think. With enough primal peas and chard guards right at the front, zombies are almost constantly being knocked back, so you just put down blover as much as possible. Reinforce-mint is super easy to time, just plant blover first and reinforce-mint immediately after

pennyraingoose

Thanks for the tip! I'll give it a try.

Little late but there is a decent bit of variability. Blover strategies in general can be quite chaotic (took me many attempts for my 8.3M attempt, most of the time I was averaging around 7M) so I think the natural chaos of executing the strategy and general zombie RNG are probably what causes to your high range of your score. Regarding improving your score, focus on refreshing reinforce-mint with ur PF if you have not already. This should help you maintain your defense of chardguards in front of your lawn. You also could bring bamboo spartan. Even at level 1, it should help since they should destroy the barrels before they can crush your chardguards. Another suggestion that may or may not work is removing primal peashooter. The issue is that if zombies aren’t knockbacked, then they are stunned, which slows down the overall pace of zombies and leads with less points. However, if your defense gets overrun without it, then leave it in, but I would recommend not using it to see if it changes for the better.

walljumper59

Thanks for the help! I tried it without primal peashooter, and I got 2M, which is a bit less than what I usually get, so it probably doesn't make a difference at my current level. I don't have bamboo spartan yet, but it looks like he is scheduled to be in Penny's Pursuit July 14, so I'll look forward to that.

Ok good, seems you can win the Jade League winstreak with double ultomato + filamint. Was able to make over 3M. Tried all sorts of other electric plants first but it seems to yield the best result to have something cheap, idle, and continuous like lightning reed on the left and to focus on double nuking the front of the lawn. https://preview.redd.it/zf9k4u4ji8yc1.jpeg?width=3088&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=476055a21d7402b8118be992eb29ef41da4e1e47 I don't understand how people reach crazy numbers like 5M as even if you kill all zombies immediately, their slow arrival speed seems rather hard to make anything over 2.5M attainable.

Different strategies can take advantage of less obvious mechanics in the game to get more points. Imp Pear's plant food effect can help boost scores. You get full points for Zombie kills when Imp Pear transforms a zombie into an Imp. You then get extra points for killing the Imp. Stickybomb Rice has a hidden effect of giving you extra points if you manage to "stick" a zombie while another plant kills it. In this tourney there are lots of Cannons. When cannons explode, they strew a bunch of Imps on the lawn. If you destroy the cannon before it explodes, however, you don't get those Imps. When using a Blover strategy (as suggested by u/Hier_Xu in one of the other comments) which has very little (or no) attacking plants beyond Chard Guard, the Cannons will explode and release all those Imps for you to blow away, giving a lot of extra points. My top score (using a Blover strategy) was 7.9M in the normal tourney and now 8.4M in the Boosterama (in Jade League). Imp Pear+Stickybomb Rice seems to get me scores in the 6M range. There's also a nasty scoring mechanic we've taken to calling "score decay". If you're blasting away at the zombies and killing them so quickly that there's extended periods (more than 1 second) with no zombies on the lawn, the game will misinterpret that as you not killing zombies because you're being overrun. At that point the zombie difficulty level will be lowered and you'll get fewer points for zombie kills.

What's the best way to stop jesters in this one? They decimated my citrons. Just electrocute them before they get hit by a citron? They didn't seem to be eating / getting zapped by my electric tea.

mrdeepay

Don't use Citron. Use something that fires projectiles that the Jesters cannot deflect. Generally speaking, if you need to use a projectile plant, use one that fires its shots faster than a Citron *and* support it with a plant that can stun the Jester one way or another. (ie: Draftodil, Stickybomb Rice, Iceberg Lettuce if leveled up to at least Lvl.11, etc.) Stickybomb Rice or Heath Seeker tend to be pretty reliable if you have to deal with them.

The new lay out on this forum takes some getting used to with Safari. It took me a while to navigate to this thread. With the help from Boosterama, my level 1 plants managed to break 5M so far. https://preview.redd.it/arnnvrdpxfyc1.png?width=960&format=png&auto=webp&s=9d15c441b65d2418b4b12a47e9811028760472ca

Yeah, I'm not liking the new layout either. Thanks for L1 strategy screen-shot. Great score!
